"Y" Is a Good Thing
This is a good connector for a DC system. Not a complicated piece, but a very good one. The ends were all 3" , the hose fit snuggly and the wire clamps held.

When making a branch in the DC system, to go to several different pieces of equipment, the "Y" connection is better to use than the "T". The Y will allow for a better air flow. A Splice is a Nice Splice
Not a real technical piece of equipment, but it is 3" on both sides, the hose fit easliy over each end and the wire clamps fit snuggly, putting it all together.

Nice for the money
I found the assembly to be relatively straight forward except for the mounting holes for the guide tube. I have a unisaw and the holes were off by a quarter inch so I had to redrill them. If the Jet guys ever read these things maybe they can forward this on to R&D. Maybe slotted holes would cover it. Alignment was a bear as previously noted but with so many adjustments I could just plod along until I had it dialed in. Action is smooth and consistant throughout the stroke, but they could have made the guide bar at least 5 inches longer so the sheetstock can fully clear the blade. I would also change the swing so that the pivot acts from the rear. As it is now the arm is almost a shin wacker, only a problem if you are trying to see a cut line from the blade side, but still a pain. All in all, though, I am quite happy with it.

JET 708110K Swing Arm review
Ok let's see if this makes it to the review Board. I have several sliding tables and have made use of all of them personally. This table is built very well and performs very well as a cross cut fence system in a fixed position. The table is difficult to set up but the results are impressive enough to warrant the time. I think that the device allows for accurate and repeatable cuts but the device is only as good as its weakest part. For me the weakest part of this device is the fence. It is impossible to remove and reinstall the fence with confidence that the fence is placed beck into its calibrated position. This weakens the performance of the system as the fence is supported by a simple "L" bracket with a "T" slot nut and bolt going through it. This Inefficient and inaccurate method of assembly should never have been used in such a design. Someone tell me that I am wrong!!! a simple fix would make this product one of the best. the system requires a Flanged Clamp with a Dowel insert(cost $4).

tough to set up
Saw it at a WW show and thought it was about the most sturdy and functional sliding table available. If you want 48" crosscut capacity this is your table. I haven't had much time to use it since I got it on my saw but cuts are quick and square. However set up can be a bear, set aside at least a day where you won't need your saw. I had problems with the angle iron attachment to the saw cabinet. (I have an older unisaw, newer saws have more square bases) the angle iron needs to be a bit larger to fit around the curved base so the adjustments work. Most of my non 5 star rating however comes from the use of a racheting handles on the fence adjustment rather than knobs. It makes removing the fence a bit time consuming. The unit should also come with a shorter fence as well as the long one. It would be a bit easier to handle for smaller panels. The hold down bolts for the fence must be completely removed each time as well to get back to a flat table for ripping. These are little design and convienience issues that I'm sure will be worked out eventualy. All in All a kick ... table

Some real meat
It's incredible how substantial this table is for the money. Received it in good shape via Fed-Ex on a pallet. Assembly was fairly quick, although having to drill holes in the saw's main stand took some time. The assembly was straight forward, although difficult at times because of some unclear assembly drawings(typical of JET). Dialing it in took some time, but once completed, it runs true. The most difficult thing about the whole purchase, was trying to understand how this slide operated from the online picture. I just had faith that it was going to work well. Now that I have installed it... the table is guided mainly by the heavy duty 2.5" dia. steel tube(shown near where the left wing attached). The left outside edge of the table is supported and connected to a black wrist bracket attached to the swing arm (shown hinged to the left corner of the saw). The sliding action forces the swing arm to pivot on the hinge. Another steel tube, extends/retracts from the swing arm as the table slides forward and back. I hope this helps explain the picture a little better. All in all, I am thoroughly impressed with the slide and look forward to getting lots of use out of it.

I bought this little lathe with the extension with the idea of saving some money since all I wanted to do is turn spindle legs.
I actually got it free with my lathe purchase. It fit fine, was easy to install and adds some heft which is always helpful to reduce vibration.

I would like to review it..but I need it first
This is not a review of the product...just a complaint to Amazon and JET for a delayed order. I purchased it on May 17th. It is June 25th, and I just received e-mail from Amazon telling me it will not be until August 9th before I get it. I called the local stores (Woodcraft, and Rockler) and it seems to be a manufactures issue (they have back orders as well). I am unhappy with Amazon because they just notified me after 5 weeks and no product. I am unhappy with Both JET and Amazon for not having any forum in which to contact either of them with issues. So I am Whining and crying here because I want my new toy!!

Indispensable!
I have this base for my Jet Supersaw, it fits perfectly, never
gets in the way, and lets me move the saw around the garage at
will. A fantastic addition. And it will last forever due to
the stout construction. A word of advice: if you buy this with
your Supersaw, set the saw in the base prior to assembly of the
table extension and sliding table. If you don't, you'll
probably need a strong assistant like I did.

always mobile
This base would not immobilize my Super Saw for use. With all four casters locked, it still moved when I leaned on it. Also, it requires locking/unlocking each wheel independently (a pain) and it seemed no matter which way I moved the saw, one of the swivel casters was under the steel plate, requiring me to bend down and engage the butterfly lock with my hands. There is no privision for leveling/stabilizing the tool. In contrast, the Delta contractor's saw base I replaced it with has one big lever you step on, after which you can literally spin the saw around and nice big adjustable rubber feet to stabilize it. Definitely worth another $.

This is the way to go...
I make a lot of bandsaw box's, so blade adjustment is pretty critical, especially with the smaller blades. This guide system is the way to go. The kit came with good instructions and only took twenty minutes to install. The added support that the guides give to the blade is worth every penny. I looked at the Carter set and the Jet set side by side and really couldn't tell the differance. So based on price I purchased the Jet guide set and am very pleased with it's performance. Adjustments are fast and easy to make even under the table. I bought another set to give to one of my friends as a birthday gift, and would reccomend them to anyone. ... Read more

Usable but has some issues.
First of all the fence works fine once you tune it up, the table of the saw is predrilled to accept the rails and their assembly is pretty straight forward. The fence itself is not assembled and there are no instructions provided, but its fairly obvious when you look at the CAD drawing on the parts list what goes where.

TIP: if you don't already have one buy a feeler gauge or better yet a set of setup blocks. This makes setting the fence height from the table a lot easier.

My only gripe is the sick-on ruler that came pre-attached to the rail is not square to table and is full 3/4" off the mark. Easily replaced with another stick on ruler but its a bit annoying that its that far off. Having to pay over 50$ for such a critical piece of equipment that is standard on most other band saws the least they can do is get the tape on straight and true.

Since there are no other fence systems out there for the Jet your stuck with this one. But it does work fine just plan on spending additional money on a new adhesive measuring tape and a good set of setup blocks.

Not quite there
The fence for the 12" band saw doesn't meet Jet's normal high standard. I had trouble with the rear hook assembly. Some detailed instructions would be helpful (none exist with the manual). The parts come in a bag, and you're on your own. The front clamp doesn't work smoothly. This, combined with the poor rear hook assembly, make the fence less than I'd expect from Jet. I'll use it until I can find a well-made substitute, then in the can it goes...

Useful but poorly designed
I am a little displeased with this item. Installation is no big deal, but lining up the rear rail clip vertically such that the fence smoothly glides across the table, yet locks smoothly, is nearly impossible. Pliers required to fine-tune the fit. Moreover, the needle indicator is sufficiently long to allow an accurate read on the cm side of the fence scale rule, but not the inch side. On my front rail, the stick-on rule is actually not parallel to the rail and table, and it came this way. So the upshot is use a conbination square to measure your cuts for this one. Finally, I have seen much better online deals for this fence. On the plus side, it does permit a very stable cut - I have shaved 1/8" veneers from 6 inch tall maple with reasonable precision, and it really helps, along with a featherboard, for resawing to make bookmathced cabinet door panels. ... Eliminates Chip-out When Cutting Sheet Goods/Laminates
This is a high-quality item which works by scoring the bottom of the cut on either a right tilt or left tilt table saw (must specify). Seems expensive, but gives you a finished cut (free of tear out) on the bottom side of laminates, such as melamine or veneered plywood or regualr plywood for that matter. Once set up in the saw, it changes out like a blade change. You would not leave it in for other work. Without this you would need a dedicated scoring saw for this work. Didn't fit!
I bought one of these for my jet saw (JTAS-10XL) and it was too big- Only .015" wider than the opening- but wider is wider. It is .03" wider than the original throat plate, which fits perfectly.
