Cost wasn't the issue
When I purchased this lovely little brad nailer I seriously set out with the intention of buying the more expensive Senco. What changed my mind? How about a wider range of nail length, adjustable depth of drive, and a much better exhaust. Senco say they aim this gun at the DIY/light trade end of the market, don't be fooled this is a very durable reliable little nailer. Why only four stars - the no-mar tip is not as good as the more expensive Senco's (but around here if you lose one they replace it free) and it would be nicer if it was an oiless gun, but hey at this price I can't argue.

Very nice product
This is the first brad nailer I have ever owned and I am very pleased with it. It is comfortable to handle,light and easy to use. The price was very good and the recomendations of others helped a lot. I'm very glad I got it when I did. I only use it around the house on DIY projects and I highly recomend this tool.

Flawed tool
I have both the Accuset brad nailer and 1/4" crown nailer. They have both failed do to the driver piston not retracting fully, thus not firing the next fastener in the clip. In additon , all of the screw fasteners on the tools were over torqued from the factory, and some could not be removed for servicing without stripping. The tools are also heavy compared to the competition. Not recommended.

A very good buy.
The Accuset brad nailer has served me well. I have put in a fair amount of time with it now.
There is only one reason the nailer came down to a 4 star rating.
The soft tip that prevents you from marring woods is very flimsy. It fell off within the first three hours of use and as the tip is completely useless if not solidly secured, it is easier to use the nailer without it and simply sand out any marks that the tip leaves behind.
Otherwise it functions as advertised. My main concern in purchase was I wanted a brad nailer that would drive one and a half inch brads. This nailer does the job without a problem.
One excellent feature is that if you want to change over from one size brad to another before you have finished the strip of nails you are using, no problem. Just open the cassette and make the change. This is not true with all nailers.
The nailer comes with an excellent case, oil and safety glasses. I have put about 20 hours of continuous (?120-hours intermittent)use on this nailer now and see no signs of additional problems.
I would buy it again.

Pick one up while you can
This is a great gun that can still be picked up from various vendors (at beyond belief prices) if you hurry. Senco has a great warranty and is standing behind this product, regardless of the fact that the Accuset name is being discontinued. I was told by a Senco rep. that all parts and accessories will still be available through them directly IF you need them. I personally have had great luck with the gun and don't anticipate any problems. You might want to look at their pinner as well. You wouldn't believe how small the nails AND holes are! ... Read more

Does its job well.
This is my first brad nailer/stapler, but I've been very pleased with it. It's made of quality materials and feels very substantial in your hands. I've fired tons of brads and staples through it and have never had a single jam or problem at all. It's really a job to use. I would consider myself pretty picky about my tools. I can usually point out a few things about each of my tools that a don't like, but I really can't find any big problems with this one. My only real complaint is that I have a hard time firing into some soft woods (like cedar) and not leaving a small notch (mine did not come with a plastic tip). Also, I've heard that even if you do buy a kit which includes the plastic tip, you'll probably end up losing it anyway. Generally, though, I use brads in places which aren't visible on the finished product, so this is a minor concern for me. I was able to buy my A2N125 on clearance for a reduced price which had no tip, case, oil, or safety glasses. The boxed deal comes with the plastic tip which would render one of my complaints above moot.

All in all, a great brad nailer and stapler. I'd definitely recommend it. ... Read more
