Metal Cutting Blade
Works well on thicker steel items. It is very easy to knock the carbide tips off of the teeth when you first start cutting the edge of a piece of stock. The blade will last longer if you can hold the blade guard open, turn the saw on, and lower the blade slowly onto the piece you are cutting, away from the edge. Of course, it is DANGEROUS to hold the blade guard open, so I'm NOT RECOMMENDING this procedure. If you start cutting a thin piece of steel from the edge, the blade will bounce off the edge and you'll damage the blade. Super quiet & moves a lot of air
This is the *only* range of fans I recommend! I have used one of these for 3 years in a bathroom that had previously had no fan at all! I have also used the in-wall version and have just added another in-wall for our new laundry (Washington code requires an extraction fan in laundries.) They're all so quiet you sometimes forget they're running!

If you've ever heard one of those hurricane-like Broan/NuTone fans, you'll appreciate the near-silent operation of the entire Panasonic range of "whispertone" fans.

This fan can be installed in both a new construction or remodel application. Naturally it involves cutting a hole in the cailing! so do it with care if you're not handy. An electrician will be required to hook it up and may be prepared to do the cutting for you if you're hesitant to do so.

It also requires 3"-4" ducting to a roof or wall vent hood (not supplied.) The integerated damper prevents back-draughts when the fan is not running. For best results, use the shorted possible duct run and use rigid ducting (not flexible) and avoid bends if at all possible.

Highly recommended! Especially good when combined with a Leviton Electronic countdown timer (such as the 6260) which lets you fire the fan up for up to one hour after you leave the bathroom to continue clearing steam/moisture or odours :)

Finally, don't worry about running this for a few hours a day as it draws very little current and won't have a major impact on your electric bill. ... Read more

I Was Confused
So one of the features of this charger is that it "charges both NiCads and Nimh batteries" - yet the manufacturer's comments state that it charges only Nimh batteries ("for NiCads use charger EY0900B").

The 2002 Panasonic catalogue lists charging times of 90mins for N(3Ah) NIMH batteries; 60mins for F(2Ah) NICAD batteries; and 45mins for C(1.2Ah) NICAD batteries - with this charger. ... Read more
