4-0 out of 5 stars cheaper at homedepot.com
Homedepot.com has this for $19.97

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice assortment, but crappy case
If you've got a Dremel tool, but too few bits, this is the set to have. This set really gives you the most for your money, as compared to the other, smaller, Dremel bit sets.

That said, I should point out that the case really sucks. I like stuff to be in (roughly) rectangular boxes for ease of storage. This case has a handle, which is nifty, but protrudes a few inches above the case. This means you can't stack anything above it.

Also, the poor design of the lids means they won't open all the way, nor will they stay open unles you pry them up with the blue inserts. If you pry the blue inserts up, you risk spilling the contents.

Oh, and this can be had at the "Wal" place for twenty pesos. ... Read more

We will admit that we think these rotary tools are some of the coolest things around; you can do so many things with them. But once we saw this attachment, we were blown away. If you don’t have the money or the space (or the inclination) to set up a whole router table assembly in your home or shop, but you still want to put decorative edges on wood projects, this is absolutely the ticket. It holds the tool under the table, and you mount your shaping bit in it. Turn it on, run your piece against the stationary tool, and your edge is routed. It also works great for small dado grooves with a straight bit. The new table surface is even smoother than before, and it’s plenty big enough for small craft projects. It’s also a great setup for sanding: Just chuck in a sanding drum and move your workpiece against it. If you’ve got a rotary tool, get this.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars This will destroy your tool
I'd stay away from this one until the design flaws are fixed. Tons of sawdust from the piece you're working on will fall into your tool and render it useless. I've killed two Dremels, and got maybe a grand total of 5 minutes use out of the table.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dremel Mini router table acessory
I have been using this for quite a while, and at times, it is a lot easier to use this, to dadoes for small items on soft wood like boxes. I used it to make some boxes out of pire and I used it to do edge work and make dadoes. This is my coolest acessory for the dremel with my wood bit set.

4-0 out of 5 stars Big Improvement, more features.
Dremel has really upgraded with this new plunge router attachment for the rotary tool. It fits all the usual corded tools and even the new Li-Ion cordless!
Great new features like: Plunge capability, clear base, bigger base, rotary tool mounting is very sturdy and rigid, depth stop, big edge guide that goes all the way to the bit.
The locking handle takes a little getting used to. Because it locks with one handle and plasic was used for the base there is a little flex back after locking. Plastic for the base to be clear is a benefit, but the plastic for the top plate was probably to save cost so they could price it closer to what the old router was. Anyway, when I really want to be accurate with my depth, I make sure to measure the distance from the bottom of the base to the bit with a metal scale. That way I know the depth is what I want. If it was all metal I'd give it a 5, but then the cost would probably keep me from buying it. It's great for the small router jobs I do(signs, door striker plate installation etc.) and I would recommend it! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Extending my reach...
I've found the flex-shaft to be one of the most useful Dremel tool accessories. It's great for those remote, hard-to-reach areas of my work pieces where the width of the tool itself would hinder my efforts, ot it just can't reach. It took a while for me to get the hang of using it, since it required a bit more hand control than I originally anticipated. Just make sure to keep it as straight as possible, and don't bend it too much- it heats up pretty quickly, especially at the bends. And heat's the big killer of this accessory. Also, be sure to have a bit of the flex-shaft grease handy for occasional lubrication.

The only thing that annoys me about the flex-shaft is that it won't accept a chuck to secure the bits, just collets. This can be a major frustration when I'm doing work that requires constant bit changes, with different bit diameters. Just when I thought I was rid of those pesky collets forever...

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Sharpening I ever had
Previous to spending 10 bucks for the Dremel Sharpening attachment, I was taking my chains to a professional to have them sharpened. It pays to follow the directions in setting up the sharpener correctly, but, once you do, you'll get the BEST sharpening job ever. My sharpening job with the sharpener was far superior to any of the sharpenings that I ever got from a professional. Plus, the professional guys ground an 1/8th inch or so off of the teeth each time they sharpened my chains, when, in fact, all they needed to do was to put a sharp edge on the teeth. The Dremel sharpener works magnificently and gives you a phenomenally sharp edge that will last a long time [as long as you keep your chain out of the dirt!] For the price of this product, it simply can't be beat.

3-0 out of 5 stars Instructions Incorrect!
When a chainsaw is sharpened, the sharpening tool is always referenced to the top of the cutting tooth (see the sharpening instructions from any saw chain manufacturer).

However, on Dremel attachment 1453, front of box, the picture shows the guide riding on the chain's depth gauge instead. Printed instructions on the back of the box (and supported with pictures) confirm this error for both left and right teeth.

To further confuse matters, the instruction sheet inside the box describes a method where the guide rides on top of the tooth for one side of the chain, but on top of the depth gauge for the other side! This is also incorrect, in addition to contradicting the instructions on the box.

Nonetheless, the device works adequately, especially if the user modifies the procedure to cause the guide to ride on top of the cutters for both sides of the chain.

In my opinion, this would become an excellent attachment if the instructions were rewritten, the pictures on the box replaced by correct ones, and the guide manufactured as a mirror image of the one presently sold. This would allow sharpening both sides from the non-engine side of the saw, thereby allowing two more teeth to be sharpened before chain repositioning. On an 18 inch bar this amounts to five rather than three teeth for left side cutters - a 67 percent improvement.

I have e-mailed Dremel with some of these observations, but received no reply!

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great!
I took a chance that this chainsaw sharpening attachment would do the job on my little Poulan electric chainsaw. It works great! Chains grow dull fairly quickly, particularly when you let the chain touch dirt. This little tool sharpens the chain like new and only takes a few minutes to get the sharpening job done. You can't go wrong. Dremel provides three different size sharpening stones that will accomodate most chains.

4-0 out of 5 stars Much easier than a file
This works much better than I thought it would. Accuracy is equivalent to a handheld file but it's a lot quicker and easier. I don't believe this fits the battery operated Dremel so you have to use it near a power source. Installation on the Dremel tool is vary easy. It takes maybe 15 seconds longer than changing a regular bit. If you have more than one size chainsaw, consider getting two. They are not expensive and you save having to set it up each time you switch saws. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best tool ever
I got this ool for my science class. We use it for building moust trap cars and it works like a dreem. great construcion and you can even get replacement blades for it. if you build mouse trap care this is a defanite.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome little saw
I am amazed at the clean cut that this saw makes. I suppose it depends on the material you are cutting, but more often than not get a smooth, precise cut with no ragged edges. The saw is also remarkably easy to guide and cut a straight line. It's very well put together and I've had no negative issues with it whatsoever.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not new, but useful
Dremel had a saw blade bit an number of years ago but withdrew it, probably because there was no blade guard. Now they have solved the blade guard problem and by angling the tool a bit have made it able to cut in the center of a board. It took a little getting used to before I got comfortable with it because the guard tends to fight you a bit until you develop the technique to open it properly as you start the cut. It is limited to 1/4" depth of cut making it specifically a modelers tool. When used for what it does best, it is great.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor quality.
It works fine but it rattles like it is going to fall apart. Very poor construction built like dremel has abought 2 dollars in construction. All plastic except for center shaft. They should charge a price closer to the quality of product abought $5.00 Here is to a vibrating piece of junk. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars If you've got a file and some boy scout skills use those.
I got one of these with my dremel tool. It works, but I really think a dremel tool is underpowered for sharpening applications. I spent some time trying to sharpen my shovel with it and finally gave up and grabbed a file and had it finished and a second shovel in less time and with far less noise. Let's face it, neither shovel or lawnmower blades need to be as accurately sharpened as a knife and a file will work handily, cost the same and last longer.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good for midseason sharpening
The Dremel lawnmower blade sharpener works pretty good. But only as a midseason blade sharpener. Be careful sparks fly all over the place with this tool. If your blades are really dull take them to the pros but at midseason this tool will help put the edge back on a mild dull blade. Buy extra 932 grinding stones because you'll go thu them quick. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars great practicality
I recently began using this attachment with my Dremel to create prescise lines at uniform depths. Using this attachment, I was able to achieve the results I was looking for. The variable depth is very helpful, but a little inaccurate. Still, I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a simple, but very helpful attachment for their Dremel.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very useful
You can control the tool very easy with this attachment and better of all is compatible with the RTX of Black & Decker.

4-0 out of 5 stars There to guide me...
Although this device is meant more for drywall cutting, I find it to be a useful tool when I'm cutting out narrow, shallow depressions in styrofoam for miniature landscape crafting. When I want to cut down to- and maintain- a specific depth, the guide lends me a really big assist.

Sadly, it's one of those accessories that require the use of collets, rather than a chuck, on the rotary tool. Not a really good thing when I'm constantly changing bits, and want to do it quickly. Oh well...

5-0 out of 5 stars Works great, and fast too!
The grout removal attachment delivered as promised. It took the grout out so fast I was actually surprised. I have tips for success: 1. Always pull the tool, if you push it backwards the tip may break. 2. Use a shop vac to clean up the dust periodically as you go. Suck or blow out the tool with air from the vac to get the dust out. 3. Stand back and admire a job well done.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nice idea ......................but.
After starting the degrouting job on by tub/shower i purchased a new dremel motor and this tool. The grout was 1/16" give or take and the grout was 20 years old. the bit cuts great and i did end up breaking 3 bits (@ $11.00 each). i was only 1/3 of the way done. The motor itself began having bearing problems, 3 hours into the job, due to grout dust ingestion. Home Depot gladly swapped tools. The worst part of this tool was dust blown all over the house. Finally took a hammer to the job and went to the studs and in the process found some serious potential problems. After 50.00 of hardibacker, 8.00 of tarpaper, 20.00 mastic, 110.00 in tiles, 12.00 grout and 15.00 misc i had a better job done with some potential problems fixed. It took 1 week of evenings to finish.
This is a good tool for a tile or two but to regrout a full surround (that is fairly old and you plan on living in your house not selling)..... I think you would be money ahead to at least consider a different route

5-0 out of 5 stars Great attachment
I bought this attachment to finish cleaning the grout out of my tub/shower. I had done some of it by hand, but with my bad wrist, it was too much. I actually didn't use the bit that came with the kit, I bought 6 bits from leakyshower.com, for the price of one dremel bit, and only needed to use one to do the entire job. I had heard that the bit that comes with this attachment breaks easily, so I didn't bother to try it. I just bought the bits from Leakyshower.com.

1-0 out of 5 stars Save $10 and just buy the bit
The attachment doesn't keep the bit centered and won't work near corners. The housing has two tabs that are supposed to guide the bit along the grout line. The problem is that the housing is made of cheap plastic so when you tighten it it distorts and causes the bit to be off center. This is only good for very small jobs and they tend to be near corners, so for get this tool. I found that I could easily complete the job freehand. So just buy the bit size that you need and save $10 (or $15 in some stores).

2-0 out of 5 stars Dremel Grout Removal Kit When Doing A Floor
This works OK for a small floor area only such as 1 or a few tiles at most. Due to hardness of the grout the bit will definately break ([price] to replace)after about 10 mins or less of use. Dremel is aware of this issue and doesn't recommend this kit for more then a small area. Walls are OK if the grout is a softer or vinyl enhanced grout. If you do use this, stop frequently to allow the bit to cool and you may be able to get the bit to last a bit longer.

For floors, use a Dremel with a Carbide Cutter Bit (the one with a star pattern and pointed) and this bit will last forever. Use w/o the Dremel kit and be carefull at the corners of the tiles as this bit will cut into the tile if you don't keep it moving through the intersections. The point allows you to get the grout out of small areas or large.

Note that everyone whom has done grout work on a floor has tried it and quickly broken the bit which comes with the kit. It's easily returned broken though where you purchased it. Dremel's customer service says to return it to them if there's an issue with the store. The realize that the packaging is a bit misleading in regards to the kit's capabilities. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Keeping it in place
The D-Vise has become one of the more useful pieces of equipment in my Dremel arsenal. Sometimes you need both hands to work the tool, and you need something to secure your crafting piece. Although I feel that just about any good vise would do an adequate job holding my work pieces, the D-Vise does have a few advantages to it that most bench vises lack: it's relatively small, and it can swivel to just about any desirable angle and elevation.

One drawback is that, despite it's relatively small size, the D-Vise wasn't made to be portable. When I'm doing Dremel tool craft work at various locations, that can be a hindrance. I've gotten around this by securely mounting it to a wide, sturdy two-by-four, and when I need it, I securely vise-grip it to a temporary workbench.

1-0 out of 5 stars These bits break real fast
I started to use these bits for removing the grout on the tile above the bathtub. The bit worked fine for awhile, then it broke. I purchased several more of the 1/16" bit and even tried the larger one. They heat up and break. They are not cheap to replace. I found better bits at leakyshower.com for a fraction of the price. The dremel bits work, yet are not worth the cost. Maybe next time I'll just scape out the grout by hand.

2-0 out of 5 stars Broke, & Broke again
This bit cuts very quickly at first but breaks rapidly. This works fine to replace a broken tile or two but isn't for a big job by any means.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect bit for narrow tile
I never thought they made a grout removal bit this narrow until started helping my son remodel an apartment building he recently purchased. The 1 inch square tile in the bathrooms had the narrowest of space between the tiles. When it came to regouting the Dremel 569 bit did the trick. I think the bit would be too narrow for using on regular 1/8" or larger grout.

3-0 out of 5 stars Get the thicker bit
Dremel makes a 1/8" thick bit. It's a lot sturdier and addresses the problem mentioned above.

However, when degrouting in an older bathroom if you hit some larger granulated grout because they cannot take the tension they snap off and now you have to replace it.

Have only been able to purchase in 1-per-package which isn't cost effective at 11.00/piece. On average we are using 2-3 bits per bathroom -- after 44 bathrooms you can figure out the cost!!! ... Read more
