Originally invented and marketed in Germany, the Garden Weasel is still an amazing garden tool, even after 15 years of "As Seen on TV" advertising here in the States. Its self-cleaning rotary cutters run crosswise against each other, meeting about 1-1/2 inches below the ground to break the surface soil and creating a fine till with their scissorlike action. Use this tool to break up soil in large areas or wide rows or to scarify soil for seeding. If you remove a few of the blades, you can work on exceptionally narrow rows or around plants. Great Gadget for Small Areas
I bought this gadget after seeing the commercial. It has become my favorite outdoor tool. Living in a brownstone I have very little earth to tend. So for my purposes, it's better than a garden fork, etc. It's surprisingly well made and the design makes it effortless to use.

Not good for hard soil, soil with a lot of roots or rocks
I bought this baby because I have hard soil with clay in it. So I thought I would try to airate it and soften it up with this garden weasel and then mix it with some baught soil. This tool isn't any good for anything other then soft soils that need to be shaken up a bit. It is handy and more comfortable to break that type of soil or if you have a few small pebbles though it has to be pretty soft soil to begin with and not ridden with roots or rocks. Otherwise I hope your strong and have a lot of will power if you still want to buy this.

Finally gardening made easy
After years of trying to turn dirt in our garden with a shovel we invested in the Garden Claw. Not only is it easy to use, but is saves your back and arms from unnecessary strain. In my yard the soil can become as solid as concrete, but the Garden Claw broke the ground loose with ease.

I would reccommend this product highly based on my initial experience. I am looking forward to seeing how the Garden Claw holds up over time and repeated use.

The Garden Claw saved my garden!
The Garden Claw definately lives up to it's claims! I had a baby in April and was SURE that my garden would be overtaken by weeds this season. After using a hoe in a section of the garden and only getting a little done after an hour of hard work, I decided to try the Garden Claw. This product is amazing! It lifted up the toughest weeds in seconds! All I had to do was scoop them up and toss them in the compost pile! I also noticed that I lost a lot less soil because the claw loosens the soil so well that it just falls off the roots of the weeds. My garden is quite large and I am able to keep it under control thanks to the Claw. I have also used the Claw under trees to quickly knock out the weeds. It does give your shoulders and arms a workout, but you just need to pace yourself. I have bragged so much about this product to friends and family that 3 of them have purchased one for themselves and have had the same great results! My favorite garden tool.
I keep a vegetable garden in Winder, GA, and this is my favorite gardening tool. I use it for everything from initial planting (after the ground has been broken and prepared with larger tools) to scratching fertilizer into the soil ongoing. It's lightweight, convenient to hold and easy to use to loosen soil.

Also seems to be pretty much indestructible.
