great value for a well made glove
i work with many tools and materials on the job and many times in inclement weather. i purchased these gloves for the 'gripping power' they offered and for a layer of protection. first and foremost, the g-reptile gripping material is made of a sort of rubber hair-like material that has been shaved down to produce grip. the stuff worked great until i tried to loosen a round plastic assembly by hand and the rubber dots turned into smooth rubber. but then it's really made to be mated with the 'gripping material' you are supposed to put on your tools and stuff. but as for the rest... the glove fits extremely well, is well made, looks great, is somewhat heat and weather resistant and so far hasn't lost any of its double stitched seams. the synthetic materials used are all good and placed appropriately to afford the comfort and flexibility factors. for the money i don't think i couldn've choosen a better glove. ... Ironclad GTA-03-M Griptec Advantage Gloves
I'm not sure if I've proven all the hype about this new product or not. Ironclad makes a heck of a product.But, to use these gloves and get theGripTec Advantage, the 3M GripTec stuff has to be on your tool also. So, you have the expense of the gloves AND an additional outlay to equip all your hammers, etc (I use hammers as an example because that seems to be the target of utilizing this product according to all the advertising).

What this product does do:
You do get a better grip on tool handles. 300% I don't know though.
There is some relief from vibration ie smacking a hammer on a nail.
This DOES help turning screwdrivers. Just make sure the tool surface is TOTALLY oil and dirt free when applying the GripTec to it.
What I'm unsure that this product does:
I don't suffer from Carpenter's Elbow which this product is suppose to relieve. My hand doesn't feel as fatigued at the end of a hammering session though (another claim of the product).
This would get REALLY expensive to apply to every tool in your arsenal as a say an auto mechanic. Screwdrivers, wrenches, etc
I suspect that any "nailbender" who's been around awhile has already ruined elbows. I don't think this product corrects any previous damage.

Ironclad makes quality products. I just don't know YET if the extra money is worth it or if this is another gimmick.

So far though, other than my concerns above, I'm happy with this product. It grips, and it protects your hands like a regular everyday glove.

thrilled, yet dissapointed.
i am a ups worker. when it comes to work, i need a high amount of grip and abrasion resistance. to me, this was it. so i bought it, and it was 70 percent of what i was looking for.

many people in the industry know that material handling needs are mostly in the fingertips. i am looking for a glove that wears and acts like a shoe. i come in contact with alot of items and my fingertips are required for alot of the work. but unfortunately it turns out that this glove could not hold up to its claims.

for one, the fingertips had the least amout of grip. and that is where i need the most grip. but i was ok with that. that is not bad after all, because the gloves were giving me all that extra ummph that i needed to preform my best.

two, the rubber molding began to fall apart. but this was in one glove. now they are no use to me.

i am going to get my money back. or perferrably, get another pair. i am dissapointed with this as i wanted it so badly, but ok, one of the gloves managed to stay together. so maybe the next pair will stick. ... Read more

Gloves you'll love
When I first seen the price of these gloves, I had to laugh. I've been in construction over 25 years, and have used probably 20 to thirty pairs of jersey & sweater type gloves every winter. Living in Ohio and doing construction in the winter can be tough. My point is, after thinking about the money I spent on dozens of gloves I thought I would try the cold condition gloves. I have not been disappointed, I've had 1 pair for about 2 years and they are finally starting to wear out,( roofing not recommended ). They aren't water proof so wet material will soak through. But for an all around cold weather working glove, there're not to bad. And to be able to handle nails and small tools makes them all the better. ... Read more
