Laser level almost obsoletes the sight level
This is so much easier than the sight level. You can level, check, adjust batterboards alone. It is self-leveling. Bring it to the job tomorrow, put it on your elevator tripod (get one), raise it to your previous benchmark and check them again. This product elimates one man. Remember how you use to have to climb off your backhoe to sight the rod. No more of that. Just listen to the beeps and you know if your rod is high, low, or about right. Be sure to get the sensor. It is about useless without. Can't see the beam. The better sensor ($$$...)can be set to three different sensitivities. Great package for digging footers and piers with stepdowns, setting batterboards, grading. It can be set on a tripod or set on a stable surface. Self-levels in about 15 seconds and you are off running. Does chalk-line, rotary or spot for inside work. Has a 90 degree plumb out the top. You can get a remote control for it but I have never used mine. I usually just turn it on and go to work.

I have used several LaserMark products and this is the best yet. The self leveling is quick and efficient. The LCD display is cool and helpfull. This laser has saved me alot of time on ceiling and partition work. It has also improved my accuracy over the manual leveling models I've previously owned.
