5-0 out of 5 stars Jet 10" 1-3/4 HP Cabinet Table Saw
I recently purchsed this saw to help in my ongoing quest to control dust in my home / garage workshop. I use one side of my garage to park my car in and back it out for larger projects. This saw is what I have been looking for, all the weight, power, and mobility advantages of a contractor saw with the stability and dust control of a cabinet saw. I have a complete woodshop now, and most of my tools are mobile so I can easily expand into the parking space when necessary. Getting a cabinet saw that runs on standard house current fits all of my mobility needs. I sold my Jet Contractor saw to buy this saw, both are great saws, but this one is a step up! Most of my shop activity is making furniture using hardwoods and exotics. As with some of the other reviewers, my saw came with the micro adjustable fence and a free mobile base. I made my own extension table from wood and laminate that looks more like it was designed for the saw than the one Jet makes. No saw blade included? Most cabinet saws do not include the blade, as the specific use for the saw is not usually as clearly known as with contractor style saws. I also got this saw for a GREAT price! I can only see one improvement to make - but not an urgent one, I plan to replace both belts with link belts for an even better ride. If your needs resemble mine, this saw has all the power and performance that you will ever need in most home shops. I give it 100% of 5 stars!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Cabinet Saw
I did not purchase this saw from Amazon. I bought it from Rockler for a price that was too incredible to pass up - especially when you add in the free mobile base and stool they gave me. The saw also had an upgraded fence. It went together easily. No gobs of grease to remove like Grizzly products. Lots of power to spare. HEAVY machine and solid, well finished castings. Much better deal than contractor saws.

I gave this four stars for two reasons: It did not come with a saw blade and the right table board was not included on my saw. If not for that, I would give it 5 stars.

Do yourself a favor and buy this saw.

1-0 out of 5 stars jet 1.75 hp saw
Perhaps my experience is an anomoly, but I had major trouble running this off a 20 amp, 120 volt circuit. I had to replace two shut off switches, and today the motor died.... I was happy with the other details, though the 30" fence is frustratingly small. My other complaint is that the phone reps, although initially responsive, blamed me for the failure of the saw. I've never had any other problems like this, and babied the thing... I'm replacing this with the unisaw...

5-0 out of 5 stars Top value for the price
Although this is not a true cabinet/arbor saw, you still get most of the benefits. With the enclosed cabinet, you get great dust control. It has the weight for stability, lots of table area, and a great fence system. It doesn't have the same horsepower, but also doesn't require a 230v connection. Unless you are going to cut very thick hardwood, you will never notice. There is a problem with the miter slot, as the tenoning jig will bind. It is easily taken care of by adding an additional washer that is not wider than the miter track between the T washer and the Jig. This will put the T track washer low enough in the track so as not to bind.

5-0 out of 5 stars A well built saw.
I bought this saw in December and have since been impressed with the quality. The fit and finish was perfect. The blade was parallel to the miter slot. I had to re-adjust other saws from the factory in the past. The Xacta fence is very well built. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

While this JET saw beats it's closest competitor on price, italso offers some advantages in terms of design and construction.Placing the quick-connect electrical plug right at the saw so the userdoesn't have to search out the wall socket for every blade change isjust one small example of JET's attention to detail. The stand for thissaw is made of a heavy-gauge metal, has a hinged motor cover, and a 4- inch dust port for easy connection to a dust-collection system. Achange in the hole pattern on the fence rails means lefties can shiftthe set up to their preference. The left-tilting arbor is another markin this saw's favor. Tilting the blade away from the fence negates theneed for a sacrificial fence and reduces the risk of the piece bindingunder the blade. This saw's most impressive feature is the smoothaction of the blade height-adjustment mechanism. Not only will userssave their wrists and knuckles, but also save time by being able tocrank the blade to the exact height necessary with vastly fewer testruns for every rabbet, dado, tongue, and groove. Finally, we reallyappreciate JET's use of totally enclosed fan-cooled motors on this andevery other saw they make. While this may add a little to the finalcost of the saw, the extra life and reliability this gives the motorsis well worth it. This saw is an excellent choice in its price range.--Nancy Gleason ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The last saw you will ever need
This is the last saw you will ever need. The saw came in 8 boxes and took a full day to assemble but was well worth the time. The fence was easy to adjust and the square up directions are well layed out. The only complaint was the extention table board had a slight warp in it, but a small c clamp fixed it. With all the extras you get, you can't find a better deal. If you are looking for a cabinet saw then this is the one to get. Add the jet(NOT THE DELTA) sliding tabel and htc outfeed to have the perfect tool

5-0 out of 5 stars Very well made saw.
I have used the saw for a couple of weeks and couldn't be happier with its performance. All of the tolerances were very close and the fit and finish of the machine were excellent. The only issue with assembly was a slight warp in the extension table. Jet's customer service (which I have found to be the best in the business) replaced it with no questions asked. The cabinet gives plenty of storage and is also setup to be used as a free-standing router table. It is a great saw and the accessories make it worth the extra price. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great value though I had a slight problem with the finish
I got my table saw a year ago - after pouring over the various reviews on Amazon I decided to go with the Jet. A year later I think that I need to pay back a provide my own feedback to the community.

Over all I am ecstatic with this saw and the router table. Assembly was straightforward, if time consuming. I had a friend help, I'm not sure that this is a one person assembly project. Plan on a day.

I have given it two inch black walnut (using a Woodworker II blade - get one if you don't have one!) and even though I still am using 110V it had no problems.
I have not had any problems with the fence. Quite the contrary I find that it is very accurate and easy to set for a cut.

The router table is a great addition. I have a couple of concerns with it. I mounted a Hitachi M12V (the base plate came pre-drilled for every imaginable router so no need to worry about drilling for the base plate) and I can change bits from the table top with the basic wrench. the only gripe I have is there was a bur which snagged and scratched the wood as you pushed it though the router. This was fixed with a metal file, but wasn't what I wanted to see.

4-0 out of 5 stars A love-hate relationship, getting more loving
With trepidation, after reading everyone else's views on saws, I selected the Jet. As background, I have 3 cars in my 3 car garage; accordingly, I don't have much spare room so I went with the extension table with router cutout and router lift and put it on a mobile base.
To start with, the only problems with shipment were: (1) Fedex arrived without calling a head of time (but it was one of those rare occasions when someone happened to be home); (2) the left end of the front fence rail was crushed slightly. The damaged area is outside of the area used for clamping the fence so no harm no foul (and I didn't have the patience to wait for a replacement nor did I want to go through assembly a second time). Assembly is time consuming - plan on a day. You also want a helper for some stages. The instructions were ok for the saw. Instructions for the Exacta fence were less clear but common sense overcame any obstacles. For example, table extension is not the same as extension table (it means table wings). Also, the instructions said that the fence had been adjusted at the factory to be square and level to the table. Not even close. The mitre gauge required adjustment also. I don't mind this, but the claim of "factory adjusted" should be deleted.
So far so good. The saw is powerful and smooth (I wired for 220). Then the honeymoon ended. First the fence slipped. Jet had glued a small square nylon pad to the shoe at the point it applies pressure to the front edged of the front rail. Bad idea. The glue (rubber cement?) simply did not hold the nylon pad in place. The result was that the fence moved the same distance the nylon pad nslipped. When I called Jet, they immediately shipped a replacement shoe with advice to attach the new style pad with 2-part epoxy glue. Problem solved. However, would you believe that nylon pads were also attached in the same manner to the fence where pressure is applied to the back side of the rail? Whoops. As one of these pads slipped, the rail would become out of square to the blade. I kept thinking that the adjusment screw was at fault. These pad were also fixed with a little epoxy glue. I'm a little surprised that the kit I received did not include a fix for this also, or at least a warning.
The only complaint on the router portion involves the cut out. The depth is slightly too deep so that the router lift is not flush with the table top. (I trimmed some laminate edging and slipped them under the router lift.)

Now that the bugs are worked out, the saw is a dream to work on. I would buy this set up again. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Designed for the professional woodworker, Jet's 18-inch band saw uses industrial-strength materials and accessories for long-lasting performance. The 1-1/2-horsepower induction motor is housed within a steel cabinet base and can be powered by either 115- or 230-volt sources. We found components to be finely finished with smooth castings and well-machined steel parts, as with all Jet band saws. European-style blade guides provide quick precision adjustments and full support, running cooler than traditional guides to extend blade life. This saw features a 10-1/4-inch-high and 18-3/8-inch-wide cutting capacity, 3,000 sfpm blade speed, and an offset, 19-by-19-inch tilting table with a T-slot miter gauge. Using blades from 1/8 of an inch to 1-1/2 inches, you can perform a wide variety of tasks, from cutting shapes to re-sawing large stock.

The hand wheel height-adjust operates smoothly, thanks in part to rack-and-pinion hardware. There's a well-placed tension-indicator gauge that works in conjunction with the conveniently located cast-iron wheel-control blade tension. We were thoroughly satisfied by the gripping power and glide of the T-style rip fence, and we especially like the pad-lockable start button that comes standard on all big Jet tools and prevents accidental start-up and unauthorized use. --Justin Paul ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Okay quality for the price
I have owned this product for a year. Like most Jet equipment I own, this one arrived with minor (nuisance type) damage from being dropped. I am wondering if Tool Crib purchases the damaged equipment from Jet at a reduced price to garner higher profit margins.
The saw performs adequately although the accompanying blade did not have a long useful life. The rip fence is low quality and does not permit easy minor adjustments. The miter gauge is also poor quality. Maybe I'm spoiled by the more accurate fence on my table saw but for [price] I expected more attention to detail.
I am using the saw at the lower power level although it can be rewired for higher power.
I like the nice sized cast iron table but plan to build something larger to accommodate more intricate cutting.
The blade guides are not high quality and you should plan to purchase a better quality set.

4-0 out of 5 stars Jet's 18" Woodworking Bandsaw
I bought this saw a few weeks ago, so I have just started using it. I have not used a bandsaw before, so I don't have a good reference. It assembles fairly quickly, but plan on having some help with friends for the lifting part. I agree with the previous review that the lower blade guides are difficult to get to and adjust. Changing blade widths is a challenge, since the blade guides need to be adjusted in and out, which is tough under the table. The thumb screw adjustments are a bit cheap. The remaining fit and finish of the saw is very good, with smooth action on the blade guide, the tensioning handle, and the fence and miter guage. I bought the machine mostly as a resaw machine. It comes with a fence mounted resaw post, and a double scale to measure the resaw width. I tried this feature, and it worked well. Then I tried cutting just using the stock fence, with the supplied 3/4" blade. With minimal practice, I was able to saw 1/32" veneer from 6" wide hard maple. After having read so much about adjusting for blade drift, I was quite impressed. I don't even use the resaw attachment now.

The saw cuts quit smoothly, and is not too noisy. The dust collection is not bad, although there is an accumulation of dust on the table and the lower guides. I run the saw on 120VAC, with a 20A circuit. It had no trouble cutting through the 6" hard maple. I have not tried wider boards yet, but expect no trouble.

I had priced the Delta 14" Platnum edition, with the riser block. This saw was about the same price (I know - somewhat apples and oranges), and would seem to be better. The only advantage that I can see with the Delta is the 12+" resaw capacity versus this saws 10 1/2" capacity. I don't think that will be a big problem for me; however.

I would recommend this saw if you plan to do a lot of resawing. The little scrolling that I did with the 1/4" blade was quite good also. It is a big machine, that takes up a fair amount of space. So, it may not be as good for a smaller shop. It is was my first Jet purchase, and I am impressed. One other thing I would change is its height. I put it on a plywood and 2x4 base, on the advise of another owner. That puts it a a more comfortable work height for myself as well as several friends (5' 6" to 6' 2" tall).

All in all, this is a great saw.

5-0 out of 5 stars JET 18" BANDSAW
Purchased my Jet 18" bandsaw with 3/4", 4 tooth blade bout a year ago. Before purchasing this saw I searched for as much info on bandsaws that was available. I am 100% satisfied with it.
Everything I cut is hard wood. I have cut up to 6" thick and even with the 3/4" blade, it was no problem for this saw.
The table surface area is one of the largest on any saw. That's nice! It's easy to clean and the hand wheel adjustments for the cutting height and blade tensioner makes life good.
I don't believe there is a better 18" saw out there for the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great saw
I, too, have had my 18" Jet bandsaw for almost a year, and it has been a pleasure to use in every respect. Mine arrived without damage or problem, and other than the difficulty of moving a 6' tall wooden crate weighing almost 400 pounds around, setup was straightforward and worked first time out.

I had some problems with blade drift (i.e., trouble cutting a straight line), which seemed to vary with the kind of wood, the blade used, and the tension. I finally made two purchases which I *highly* commend, both from Ittura Designs, a bandsaw supply company that provides an amazing range of accessories and expertise. The first is a tension gauge, to tell you how many psi you're really putting on the blade (note to experts: the Jet has no problem tensioning to 30,000 psi), but the turning point was a Lenox ProMaster iI carbide blade. This thing isn't cheap---over $100 for a single blade---but what an unbelievable difference! The tolerances and sharpness of this blade have made drift a thing of the past: I now cut through everything like a heated knife through butter. If you spend this much on a bandsaw, spend the extra $100 on one of these blades, otherwise you're wasting your time and your wood.

The finish on the saw seems good to these relatively inexperienced eyes; the dust collection works terrifically, and while the lower guides are indeed tough to adjust, the Euro-style rollers work well and seem to hold their adjustments. (One aside: a lot of bandsaw accessories, like zero-clearance inserts and Cool Blocks etc., don't seem to be available for the 18" Jet, so if you're a tweaker, you might want to look elsewhere).

In summary, this is my favorite tool in my workshop. When I started woodworking, I followed closely the "do you need a tablesaw, or can you make do with a bandsaw only" argument, and now that I've had my Jet for a year, with the ProMaster II carbide blade, I have no regrets about my decision to leave a tablesaw behind.

4-0 out of 5 stars great machine
I researched the market for a larger bandsaw for my home shop. I considered the 14" models with the riser block options. I do some resawing and wanted a good capacity for this as well as lots of power. This 18" Jet was on sale at a local store as a one day 10% off storewide promotion. This unit that I purchased has the Carter guides on it and the fence with the resaw optional attachment. The assembly was minimal and it was very accurate from day one. I have a Jet dust collection system and this saw has a 4" line to it so there is virtually no dust from it. The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that this saw did not have a light on it. The power and accuracy are all that I had hoped for. I would definitely recommend this saw to anyone wanting to upgrade to a beefy accurate unit. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect...
Got my JWTS10 last weekend. The saw runs great and the XACTA II fence system is extremely accurate and easy to use. I didn't have help, so unloading the saw from the back of my van involved tearing open the box and carrying all the pieces to my basement shop. Assembly took about 6 hours, and I am overjoyed with the quality of this saw.

One area that was lacking (at least for me since this is my first non-portable table saw) was the instructions on assembly of the rails and fence guide. They could have used better diagrams and part descriptions.

Overall an excellent saw for the money. I will probably trade out the accessory wood table for a router table.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Saw - Even the fence.
I purchased the Jet 10" contractor saw with the 30" Xacta fence in late February. Since I didn't have the space available for set up ready I spent some time reading the instructions and perusing the on-line reviews concerning assembly. Once the assembly process started everything went pretty much as expected.

The saw itself went together without a hitch. The stand was solid and the wings went on with a minimum of difficulty. Shimming was necessary to get a flat surface with the main table but that was done easily. Next came the infamous fence.

I studied the instructions and the comments I printed off the review sites. When I started the assembly there weren't any problems. The holes had to be drilled out but that was in the instructions. Here's a tip - install the right wing first then attach the rails. It works much better that way. When I laid out all of the bolts and assorted other hardware it became pretty obvious where the parts were to go. All of the bolt holes lined up and the the rails fit together without a problem. The only issue I had was with the mounting of the extension table. That was a challenge. Here's another hint - if you can't get the extension table smooth with the extension wings drill the holes in the table 5/16" and give your self a little space before tightening up the bolts/screws. The other thing was that the scale on the guide rail was mounted too far to the right necessitating a call to Jet for a replacement. They were great about it.

I installed a Forrest WWII TK in place of the blade that came with the saw. The fence was virtually perfect right out of the box. No problems. The saw runout and miter slot parallelism to the blade were exact. Even the 90 deg and 45 deg settings were accurate. Needless to say I've been very impressed. It cuts smooth and accurate. By the way I also ditched the Jet miter gauge for an Incra 2000 miter gauge. The saw and miter gauge make a great combination. I would recommend this in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, high quality saw.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Value
I've had this saw for several months and believe it to be an outstanding choice. The fit/finish is excellent and the accuracy is exceptional. Out of the box, the blade was parallel to the slots by a thousanth of an inch. I also have the fence parallel to the blade within 2 thousanths'. The only weaknesses are the xacta fence installation instructions and the free blade. It would be nice if the guard/splitter was quick attach/detach but I guess you can't have everything. You will also want to put a mobile base on this baby cause its heavy.

3-0 out of 5 stars looks like import that has been worked over for better or ?
Nice but no cigar, fit and finish need to be improved, the fence is a wreck waiting to happen. Its like a cheap suit thats all over the place

4-0 out of 5 stars rough start, smooth end
Assembly took me about 10 patient hrs; there are a lot of parts. Instructions were adequate but generic and required a bit of reading-between-the-lines. Attachment of cast-iron wings is best done before setting saw upright. Close attention must be paid to sequence discrepancies between generic fence instructions and those for Exacta fence. If you plan to get a mobile base [and you probably should]attach it early on. Operational instructions are virtually non-existent; if this is your first experience with a table saw you will need another source for same. The saw appears very well made and substantial . Once assembled the saw works very smoothly - attention to tolerances is apparent. Cuts are true. The fence adjusts easily, was easily calibrated and so far is dead on. The miter guage is adequate but I will probably upgrade it in the not too distant future. It needs its own 20 amp circuit or preferably wire for 220. With the $50 rebate, no taxes and shipping of only $4.95 it is a lot of saw for the money. It arrived within a week. If assembly was less involved and more care put into the instructions I would give it 4.5 stars in the contractor saw class.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding saw, Fence needs work
It took me 6 hours to assemble the entire saw but half of that time was spent on the fence alone. The quality of the saw and stand are outstanding -- fit of components, quality of casting and machining, ease of assembly, quality in operation... all near perfect.

The fence, though, needs help. My front support rail was badly warped and the rail sight (small plastic marker for setting measurements) was cracked, misprinted (not parallel to marks on rule), and simply didn't fit on the rail. The instructions are not very good and there was no list of included hardware so I could identify the various pieces. Alignment of this fence to the saw was a real pain in the neck. It should be noted that the Exacta fence is not manufactured by Jet but *for* them.

Once assembled with replacement parts (good customer service), the fence works wonderfully. Measurements are right on the money, first try. The fence is extremely rigid and moves very smoothly.

I gave the saw 5 stars because assembly is a one-time chore and the real measure is day-to-day useability. This saw is a great value, particularly since I only paid (price). I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Real Fine Machine
Moved up from [$$$]Craftsman table saw. The old saw was a toy compared to this machine. This thing is a real solid machine...I hope I'm worthy of its abilities. Found the instructions to be very good, except the separate instructions on the extension table and fence as they were dreadful. Also, when you transition from the main instructions to the fence/extension table instructions it is difficult to follow and determine when and where to return in the instruction sequence.

I suggest you buy the mobile base when you purchase it. I don't plan to move mine much, but I wouldn't want to have to move this thing an inch without one. It seems like it would be easiest to assemble right on the stand like I did.

Now that is together, it is a powerhouse!!! I look forward to using it for years to come.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Table Saw Overall
Using the standard Fed-X option, I received my saw quickly and with no apparent box damage on December 3, delivered right inside the new shop. I had the stand together, the cast tops on, and the saw up and running sooner that I had expected, in about 2 hrs. Then, I fought the fence for a while. The lack of clear fence assembly instructions, with no fence diagrams, caused me unnecessary delay. Finally I called Jet, and found out with their great tech support, that I was shipped the right rails & guide, but the wrong fence. I also had a broken plastic sight glass (plastic) on the fence, and no end caps for the guide. The new fence would not line up properly within the sight glass margin of correction, so Jet sent me a new tape to overlay on the guide correcting the problem. All of this was eventually received with a few mistakes on Jet's part, but it did take a month to get it all straight. The saw blade insert's opening is too large (it does works with my wobble dado blade ok), and the blade shipped with the saw is useful only for perhaps ripping.
Overall, the saw's fit and finish is good, and it runs great in the 110v or the 240v mode. I do like it better than my 10 yr. old contractor's saw I sold. However, in hindsight, I would now order the same saw, but without the Exacta fence option. I prefer another brand of fence I had before.

4-0 out of 5 stars Temper, temper.....
I've had my Jet Homeshop for several months now, and after reading some of the scathing reviews, I felt compelled to write my own. This is a very nice saw. Delivery uneventful, and all parts were included, intact and unscathed. No claims to FedX. Assembly was a little tricky, but not a problem if you've got an afternoon. The instructions are confusing, but with a little common sense and laying the nuts&bolts out on your bench, the saw goes together nicely. The ONLY problem I had was when I had to drill two holes thru one of the extension table leg's mounting bracket to secure the fence rail properly.
The fence is the easiest I have ever used. It cannot bind on the rail and it's never slipped, even ripping a full sheet of 3/4 ply. It's very easy to adjust, though I might recommend some lok-tite on the adjusting screws one you've got it perfect. The power switch requires a little effort to turn on, which is as it should be, and powering off is just a quick fist to the big red button. The arbor or motor has a braking action too, so you don't have to wait too long for the blade to stop spinning if you need to hold the wood there. Good action for raising and lowering the blade. It doesn't take too many turns to drop it completely out of the way which is good if you're like me and have to use the saw as an assembly table too. The bevel adjustment to the blade is precise and locks too. The table insert that the saw ships with leaves about 1/4" on either side of the blade, so get some inserts that you can custom fit. Jet makes some specifically for this saw and, in my opinion, ought to ship it with a half dozen or so. But this is a very nice saw. Highly satisfied. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Finest piece of equipment I've seen in a long time.
Once I got the boxes opened and inspected the pieces, I knew the quality had to be there. I took five hours to assemble this saw, taking my time to read and understand all the instructions first. The saw went together without a single hitch. Out of the box the saw was cutting perfectly straight. I readjusted the ripping fence one time to fine tune the cut and I was cutting perfectly. The fence glides along the top of the table with ease. This saw is very quiet when operating. The 10" blade made quick work of the 2x4's and sheets of plywood I ran through the saw. Using the HTC mobile base with the Jet Saw makes it very easy to move around the garage. This is one great saw.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great saw...with qualifications
I have owned my Jet table saw for 2 years now and am very pleased with it. I purchased my saw after owning a craftsman table saw for 9 years, and there is no comparison. My wife watched me set up a cut on my craftsman and agreed that I needed a new saw. She watched me set up a similar cut on my Jet saw and couldn't believe the difference. The table is sturdy and solid. Set up took some patience, but the wings and fence rails were very easy to adjust. The fence only took a minor adjustment to align with the blade. The only drawbacks for me are the fact that the fence does not have a fine adjustment feature and the scale on the fence is not very accurate. I also sometimes have problems with the height adjustment on the insert moving due to vibration of the motor. However, if I would have spent a little more money, I could have gotten a fence with the fine adjustment. As far as the scale on the fence, I would not rely on this even if it was dead-on accurate, that's just asking for trouble. I have been very happy with the ease of use, I like the way the blade guard attaches even though it takes a little extra time to remove it, and I would recommend this saw to anyone. As a matter of fact, I drove over 50 miles in a blizzard to pick mine up. One other idea: change the height and tilt adjustment locks to a cam type lock to make them easier to lock down without changing the settings.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice Saw, bad fence.
This is a fine saw, but the fence doesn't stay level to the piece being cut! I've adjusted the fence numerous times, but each time I lock it into place, it veers to the left. I have to press forward on the fence to keep it from moving to the left and I still end up with ripped pieces that are off by 1/8 to 1/16.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's what all the customers wrote about!
Well, indeed it is a very nice saw with very little vibration. I really had doubts about the "nice" reviews thinking they came from Jet salespeople. Setup could be improved. I took longer because I want to do it right the first time, and with the help of my wife, she was able to figure out the ones I got lost on, i.e., Mounting the motor. You go gurl! Can't wait to test it completely, creating everything I can imagine, and ordered to create under the sun. If you are trying to decide between Delta 36-444 or that... DeWalt, you can't go wrong on this table saw. Don't forget to order the HTC Universal Mobile base. It's a dandy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Saw With the Right Options
This saw is a really good saw....Cuts well, runs well and accurate. If I was to do it all over, I would get the same saw but with the cast iron wings though because the steel wings don't stay flat and true especially if you have the saw set up to be moved around like I do because every time you move the saw, you grab the saw by the wings and it seems to throw the wing off a little and then when you go to make a cut, the wing isn't perfectly flat with the table. Also, Jet's fence does not lock down too well so it could move on you once you lock it down. I spent extra above the cost of the saw later to get the cast iron wings and the xacta fence where if I wasn't so cheap earlier, I could have gotten the whole package from Jet a LOT cheaper! Yet another lesson on going cheap when making the original purchase. So get the saw, but with the better fence and the better wings!! ... Read more
