This Kreg kit is one slick setup.
I've used my Kreg kit for several months now. It sure makes a difference in the speed of assembly. I whipped up a router table in no time and a lot of other projects besides. Works great on dimensional lumber too. Used it to make the 2X4 framing for a utility building addition as well as the framing for flooring in my aluminum boat. It's great having everything all packed in the carrying case ready to go. Setup is a snap and sure cuts down on the need for lots of clamps.

Holing Wonder!
I bought one of these to make face frames for some kitchen cabinets, but it has gotten a considerable workout in addition to the original project. The kit is very complete and comes in a nice plastic case. There are actually two jigs - the large one that you will need to mount on a board and the small, one hole "Mini Jig" that just gets clamped wherever you need it.

The large jig with the wings is the most useful. It has a built-in clamp to hold the wood securely against the drilling jig. There are three separate guide holes that allow for different spacing of holes. The "wings" are two separate parts that do not connect to the main jig. You will have to screw all three pieces to a piece of 3/4" plywood to get the most use out of it. That leaves a big vacancy in the case if you leave it setup, as I do, but that makes a good place to store additional screws.

The "Mini Jig" is great for those large panels that can't be mounted in the main jig. Just clamp it where you want it and drill the holes.

Depth adjustment is easy with the guide on the "wings." Just lay the special bit in the groove with the bit's shoulder aligned with the thickness of the material you are screwing to. Slide the stop collar on the bit shaft until it is against the side of the wing and tighten. You can't make an error. It does pay to check the collar every now and then to make sure it has not slipped. If you over drill, you will be going through the face side of your work with the screws.

I use this in place of biscuits in many cases, but don't throw out the biscuit joiner yet! On long, edge-joined pieces, it is helpful to throw in a few biscuits for alignment between the screws, not gluing them if you want to make it a "knock-down" cabinet.

I used to think I was pretty slick with a drill, cutting an occasional pocket hole freehand. That just is not as precise or repeatable as the results you will get with this jig. I would highly recommend adding this outfit to your shop - you will get more and better results! Oh, and do order some extra screws - you WILL have a use for them!

Kreg Pro Pack is great!
I recently purchased the Kreg K2000 Pro Pack. I had been using a generic pocket hole jig, and after setting up and using my new Kreg jig I can say there is no comparison. The Kreg jig is a slick set up. It made it easy to drill clean pocket holes. Also, use the Kreg screws. The Kreg screws easily bore into the wood, and so far I've had no problem with wood splitting. In fact a friend who is a carpenter was impressed when I showed him a project and he learned that I didn't have to drill a pilot hole in the receiving piece of oak. He was impressed that there was no splitting. This seems to be a really nice tool set.

Save time and labor
Don't be afraid to give this joint maker a try, you will be suprised how fast and easy you can make perfect joints. I just built an entire set of kitchen cabinets using the kreg pro, and it more than paid for itself in time and labor and frustration. Very easy to use. Great tool.

Game Changer
I have had this tile saw now almost for 2 months and I'm very pleased with it.This is exactly what the doctor ordered for my business. I do bath and kitchen remodeling and when it comes to tiling, this tile saw has changed the ball game drastically. Nowadays I jokingly call the more traditional tile saws as "dinosaws".

IMO; pros in a nutshell: Huge cutting capacity, 26" rip and 18 3/8" diagonally. Fairly light weight, 70 lbs. Smooth and accurate cutting tray. Exceptional water containment, saw can be setup inside a house with a minimal protection. Cons? Nothing major so far. Those little fastening hands on the extra trays are quite delicate and could break if handled roughly?

What took them so long?
I have been using this saw for 2 weeks now and I had to come back to brag.I have been doing high-end remodeling for 10 years now and have come to trust nearly everything DEWALT makes.This is no exception.It has so many features that are so obvious - 45 miter cuts, plunge.Why haven't the traditional guys done this yet.The motor is strong, the rail is very tight and accurate.Ultimately I bought it because of its lightweight.I dont need to carry 150 pounds around to cut 24" tile.I think this saw is 70 pounds.I highly recommend this saw.It is truly a first class tool.

One half the price of the Little Giant
As a contractor, I use a lot of ladders.

COSCO was the first to clone the Little Giant Ladder about five years ago. Apparently, Little Giant's patent was still in force for the hinges. I own the COSCO 17FT Worlds Greatest Ladder and used it for a couple of years, but I needed something longer.

In January 2002, I purchased the Type 1 22 FT Little Giant from Amazon.com. The only difference was the hinges and a few annoying braces in the climbing area of the two narrow extension pieces of the COSCO. The COSCO is made in Korea. The Little Giant is made in USA. Both functions flawlessly to this day.

I found the Little Giant cloned at Home Depot as the Gorrila Brand ladder at Home Depot. $99 for the 13 ft model and $199 for a 21 ft model. The ladder is essentially a China made copy of the Type 1A Little Giant.

My last purchase is the MT-13 Werner. It appears to be another clone of the Little Giant Type 1A, also made in China, probably by the same company that makes the Gorilla. I know this, because both brands include a bonus set of brackets for making the scaffolding with an almost identical blow molded polyethylene case. The brackets are identical and marked Patent Pending.

I would recommend the MT-13 and the MT-17 in the Werner Brand, but I still prefer the Little Giant in the 22 ft model. It is a lighter by five pounds than the 22ft Werner but cost about $130 more.

Since all of the original Little Giant patents have expired, the hinges on the Gorilla and Werner models are identical to the Little Giant.

Of all of the models, the MT-17 would be ideal for most home owners. It will go to the second floor window of a two story house. The 22ft model will go to the roof of a two story house, but only for one with a slab foundation, not one with a basement or a crawl space.

The 17 FT model is a good balance between weight size and function. The best deal would be the Werner MT-17. The quality of materials and assembly of all the models appear nearly equal.

One reviewer noted that these ladders were hard to extend. The best method is still the method of extending the ladder using the procedure described in the Little Giant Instructional Video. Since the methods are copyrighted by Little Giant, the clone manufacturers cannot use them with their own instructions sheets, videos or manuals. Accordingly, I cannot include the Little Giant Procedure in this review.

Heavy but Versatile
I first saw the Little Giant version of this ladder on a late night infomercial. It looked so interesting that I began researching it. I discovered the Werner MT-22 on Amazon.com. It was much less expensive than the LG, and Werner has a reputation for building solid ladders. The first day I got this ladder home, I used it to clean the gutters of our one-story home - it was great! I used it as the A-frame fully extended. It's rated for a 300 lb. load and I felt very secure on it. For the first time, I didn't sit on the roof to clean gutters.

It is fairly heavy (about 50 lbs.), but I didn't have much trouble moving it around. With the legs closed and retracted, it's only 5-1/2 feet tall x 24 inches wide x 9 inches deep. Setting it up took a little practice, but it's now a snap.

I emailed Werner about a ladder stabilizer and work platform. A rep replied very quickly and said that those accessories would be available in September 2004. The stabilizer will not be the quick click variety.

Great Ladder
I would actually give the Werner MT-22 ladder a rating of 4.5 stars, if it were possible to do so, due to the weight of the thing. Other than that, this is a great ladder with virtually no flaws. Does everything it's advertised to do and more. I am still finding new uses for this thing. I have given away all of my other ladders (used to have three of them), and now use this one for everything except the "step-stool" tasks. Bottom line is that I would buy it again, which is the highest endorsement I can give.

Versatile, but LIMITED extension capability!
Bought this for the flexibility and ease of transport. It fit without any trouble in the back of the vehicle and was very easy to handle with 1 person. Being able to use it as a stair ladder or with the included braces to use it as scaffolding support was very attractive. The weakness is in the extension ability. It is very difficult to fully extend the ladder to 19 feet. Basically your only option is to half-extend it on the ground, and once you have it standing, push it the rest of the way up. This becomes very difficult as this ladder does not have the typical pulley system found on regular extension ladders. It also cannot accept the Werner Quick-Click Stabilizer. The stabilizer would normall make window and gutter jobs a piece of cake. Also, with the angled legs, I am not sure of this ladders ability to accept a leveler. This all coupled with the flexing of 4 seperate pieces, prompted me to return it for a Werner 24 foot fiberglass extension that I am completely happy with. (...)

No other nail gun is even close!
I am a roofing contractor. I have tried a few other brands of nail guns but none can come close to the quality and durability of the Hitatchi! There is nothing else to say. You can not beat this gun. It won't dissapoint you!

Awesome nailer
I researched several roofing nailers and based my decision on the reviews I read about the Hitachi. I have shingled two roofs so far and have had zero problems. The second roof I did was for a friend and he helped with his Poter Cable nailer. It was picky about the nails that were used, jamed often and had no depth setting. The Hitachi kept plugging along and never missed a beat. The depth setting was crucial for the different situations when installing shingles. After years of hammering nails and seeing other guns in action, I highly recommend the Hitachi NV45AB2.

THE PERFECT ROOFING NAILER
Hitachi has long had the best roofing coil nailer on the market with the NV-45AB. This new and improved model actually made the best thing even better. It is very similar to the previous nailer but it offers an easier method to reload coils. Much more durable than any of its competition. I have tried them all. Max, Bostitch, Senco, Paslode. Nothing can surpass the Hitachi!

When it comes to designing nailers, Hitachi keeps the end user in mind. Their siding coil nailer, engineered for serious siding work, impressed us with its light weight (only 4.6 pounds), which does wonders for your arm (not to mention your productivity) toward the end of a long day. We're also suckers for a good grip, and the NV65AH has a great one--it's rubberized, and, unlike a lot of other tools we've known, it's also a width that normal-size humans can get their hands around. This nailer's got an easy-to-operate depth-of-drive adjustment as well, to countersink or flush-drive nails, and a smooth firing mechanism. The air deflector pivots 360 degrees--a nice, user-friendly feature.

One feature we'd like to have seen is the two bumper plates that go on the front and back of other Hitachi models. These plates really go a long way toward protecting a nailer from unnecessary wear and tear, and, in the end, they probably extend its usage quite a bit. Performance and Precision
This nailer is like a german sports car. It's got power, performance and handles like a dream. The single most important feature for a good siding nailer is the ability to accurately dial in the depth that the nails are driven. For cedar, or cement board siding the depth of drive is crucial. This nailer lets you adjust the depth of drive with absolute accuracy. You can flush nail all day long and you almost never have to pull your hammer out to set a proud nail. In addition, this nailer is light at 4.6 pounds which is also important when your using it all day on a ladder or scaffolding.

The other feature that I love is that the nailer is extremely well balanced for a coil nailer. Most coil nailers are nose heavy because they don't have the stick housing to counter balance them. This nailer is not nose heavy and just has a great feel in your hand. Of all my tools, this is one of my favorites. I have not had a single jam and I've fired thousands and thousands of nails with it. This is a high performance tool, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has any amount of siding to put up. It's a time saver, and truly a joy to use.

Great coil nailer!
I shot one box of 4800 2 1/4" ring shank galvanized nail through this gun the first time I used it. Oiled it often and kept clean as possible. There was the occasional miss where the nail had fallen out of the coil but it was harmless. Depth gauge worked well and was easy to adjust. This gun is lightweight, the Senco is a beast.

Awesome nailer
I had started hanging cedar shingle by hand,but it was way too slow and I was wasting alot of shingles due to breakage. I purchased this nailer and it proved to be a time and labor saver. I needs to be kept oiled or it will jam but very easy to unjam. Do not think twice just buy it. Now I have a fence to build, lucky me I already have mine.

Great Nailer, Great Buy
Amazon's Tool Crib shipped on time with no glitches. The 75 nailer is typical of Hitachi's great nailers, and has the versatility to do framing and siding. Mine has gone through about 4000 2" Senco and 3" Bostich nails for fence building without a miss and little sign of wear. Since I only use it once in a while, I'm confident it will last me a lifetime.

Once again, Hitachi produces a superior product.
I was in need of another siding gun, and saw the NV75AG just hit the market. Being that I own the siding (4 years use) and framing (8 years use) versions Hitachi makes (both superior products), when it came time to get a second nailer for siding the choice was clear. For several years I have been contempating getting a coil framer. When sheeting walls on the ground I loose considerable time reloading with the stick framer. This gun holds over 225 nails in one coil! And should my stick framer blow a top seal, or sider fail, the NV75AG will allow me to continue.
The gun functions flawlessly, with both the depth adjustment on the gun and a non maring tip included. Hitachi includes all allen wrenches and fittings, something other makers should but don't.

Could not get wireless working
Great features for the price.Image quality is so-so but is as advertised.It worked great when using a wired connection.When I tried to connect using my AirportExtreme it was a no go.I tried everything.Removing security.Renaming the network.All I got was a flashing yellow light which makes trouble shooting pretty hard.Panasonic support tried to help but nothing worked.It is being returned.

Works fine on a Mac
Panasonic doesn't support it, but this camera, and all Panasonic Netcams, work fine with a Mac.To view full motion video, you must use Netscape or Firefox.Safari and IE will only allow you to view fixed images.No add-ons or active-x or other such nonsense is needed with Netscape or Firefox.The video just works.

As for setup, you will have to set this (and other Panasonic Netcams) up with a broswer, not with the automatic setup CD that works with windows.It's not difficult.Configure your Mac to use the built in Ethernet connection only, configured manually to IP address 192.168.0.5, subnet 255.255.255.0. Connect an ethernet cable between your Mac and the Camera (with a modern Mac any cable will do, with older ones you'll need a crossover cable.) Then access the camera at the address specified deep in the documentation (for this camera it's 192.168.0.253).The first time in you'll be asked to select a username and password.Do that and then you'll have full access to the setup utilities where you can change IP addrerss, DCHP, and other parameters.You can also setup the excellent free viewnetcam.com service and give your camera a real internet name.This is my third Panasonic Netcam, and I've been very pleased with them all.

Not good on a Mac!
First, I will say that this camera is great!The image is clear even in low light, and we found it pretty easy to set up with our Linksys wireless router.I did have a few questions and had an excellent experience with their customer service number--both times I got someone immediately who told me what to do.

However, customer service told me that this camera will not stream video to a Mac!The next best option is to have the image refresh every 3 seconds.It is better than nothing, but I felt mislead from the info provided on Amazon.It works great on our PC, though.

Good value, reasonable image
I have had my BL-C30A for about 2 weelks and overall I am satisfied with the performance. I agree with the reviewer who said image was not adequate for detailed surveilance. I would suggest you go to: http://www.securityideas.com/securitycam/demos.html to view and work an actual camera. I pretty well knew what I was getting. I use my camera as a weather cam and it is C+/B- for this purpose. Wireless setup and Internet access were quite simple, thanks to a good instruction manual. Three features that would have been nice are zoom, focus, and a date/timestamp on the images. I really didn't want to spend the additional money to get these features. I wrote an email to Panasonic regarding lack of a date/timestamp and got an automated reply 2 weeks later that didn't even address the question, let alone answer it, so D- for technical support. Full featured and worth every penny
Ok... so I did some research for IP cameras and I ended up buying the Panasonic. To my surprise, it performed above and beyond my expectations for a camera in this price range. You can setup remote viewing and even control it remotely. I tested the remote viewing in Switzerland and it worked beautifully. A bit slow on the refresh, but it was half way around the world.

I haven't tried multiple cameras but I will soon.

Excellent Camera, Excellent Value.
I purchased this network camera to keep an eye on our cats while we were vacationing and just to check in on the house.I was very pleased by the quality and ease of use the camera has.

Setting up the camera was very easy and I had no problems.

The camera's clarity is incredible for its price range, considering that it also pans and scans (with great range of motion).

Speaking to clarity, when the camera moves in any direction, the motors makes a little noise...Not obnoxious or anything, but curious cats had to come check it out each time we moved it while away.Using the snapshot ability on the camera, we got some of the best pictures of the 'kids' we've gotten from any camera when we were there in person.

The camera worked flawlessly - what a great way to ease your mind if you have good internet access where the camera is and where you'll be.

Highly recommended... I'm writing this review because I'm back to order another for different part of the house. :-)

Great product
Just received my camera. Setup was a breeze.
I have not yet used the Dynamic IP service from Panasonic, but I think it will work fine as any other service of this type.

The automatic PnP function did not work trying to configure my Linksys router. A minor nuance if you do not know how to setup your router.

Image quality is very good, but not excelent. The camera has a little trouble working on the white balance, but the provided controls on the browser application let you adjust, so no problem here either. Again, image quality is way above webcams, better that other network cams on the price range, but below than higher ticket net cams.

A nice feature is that you can set up to 4 positions (there are five already preset: camera corners and home position), so you can easly go from checking the door to the desk, etc. in one single mouse click.

Althoug it is designed to be set on a fixed position, on my tests I hooked up to a mini-tripod. By accident, I pull the network cord making the camera fell to the hard floor from about 5 feet. Nothing happened to it.

For the price, it is a highly recomendable PAN/TILT Camera.

A great heavy duty radio!
I bought this radio for my carpenter brother-in-law. He has raved about this radio since Christmas. The sound quality is tremendous, far surpassing the DeWalt version his friend has. It has fallen off a workbench without incident! I highly recommed this product to any contractor because of its durability and quality. An excellent radio for a good price.

Excellent product
This radio is basically a portable stereo just like any other except it is rugged, looks really cool and runs off a tool battery or a/c. The knobs are large and easy to use with gloves. There is no point in comparing it to the Dewalt unless you are using both companies tools? The pass thru plug is cool, 12v power plug is cool. You can plug your charger or whatever into the back of the radio's a/c plug. Digital tuner with memory function is nice, the punch eq is just ok, only the first setting is really usable with the unit cranked enough to hear over saws, the next few bottom the woofers. The radio has a low center of gravity and a wide bottom so it's near impossible to knock over. It has rubber no slip feet too. It's not really a big deal to me that the radio does not have a charger function, if I have my tools I have their bag with the charger and extra batteries. If I am running the radio off the battery there probably isn't a/c available anyhow.
I gave it 4 stars because it deas not have a charging function. Even though that doesn't matter to me, it is a feature that should not have been excluded. Also the price of the radio is similar to the Dewalt that does offer a charging function.

sounds great!
I purchased the milwaukee radio after having both the dewalt and the bosch radios.It has a very good sound and i'm very pleased with it. The only draw back is that if you don't have other milwaukee tools you'll need to purchase a battery and charger and it does not have a charger incorperated in it. for the price it's hard to beat!

It's holding up well.
I heard a crash and then turned around. My radio was lying on the basement floor. I could have sworn I left it on top of the ladder...? Picked it up off the floor and placed it on top of a cardboard box; much more stable. No need to check the radio because it was still running and suffered only a small scratch on the bar handle. This radio is very tough indeed! It sounds great, has good FM and very good AM reception; the weather bands are tough to get but they do work. The unit will run on a Milwaukee cordless drill battery, plus the 12v DC outlet readily charges my cell phone and it has an auxiliary micro input that accepts any stereo source. All in all this is a great radio for a rough environment; though it would be nice to see it also function as a charger. This would allow you to leave your regular battery charger at home limiting the amount of gear you need to haul around. Milwaukee really should have included a charging circuit with this unit. I am sure they could have found a way to include charging without compromising the sound.

Hello Milwaukee!
Really had high hopes for this bad boy, but after using it for a couple weeks I find myself less than impressed with this beast of a radio. The main problem I have is that the sound just isn't very good, and the radio does not have enough power to overcome the noise level on the typical jobsite without severly distorting your tunes.

I went for this over the DeWalt because of the Rockford-Fosgate speakers, but I think the only thing that they really added to this unit was a cool badge! The bass definition is really weak, and the "punch" EQ only accentuates the mid-range which is great for AM radio but lousy for music.

I do like the display and switching functions, and it does look like it will be around for quite a while. In addition, it really is the only option for someone (like me) looking for something to play their iPod through at work that will run on a rechargeable battery and accept a mini-plug input from an external source. But for a huge, heavy unit, it has a surprisingly weak and unimpressive sound. ... Read more

What a clever little job this is. Our first thought was to take it to the shop and build picture frames--it's perfect for that, along with countless other finish and trim projects. Senco Finish Pro 10 a good buy
I bought this micro pinner for rustic work. I build alot of Adirondack rustic style items which require small diameter twigs to be fastened. Brad nailers are often too large for the job, and hand nailing with small brads is tricky at best. This pinner is absolutely perfect! I have been able to fasten twigs as small as 1/8" diameter to plywood and other wood surfaces with absolutely no splitting (of course it's a little tricky to get the pin centered in a twig this small). The little pins also have a pretty good amount of holding power.

The Senco FP 10 is very light, has a nice design, and is a breeze to use. However, I was very surprised, and somewhat disappointed to find that, unlike my other Senco Nailers, this one is Taiwanese. I purchased it because I knew the Porter Cable was Taiwanese, and I wanted an American made product like my other Sencos. Given that the FP 10 is advertised as a professional tool, I never would have expected it to be an import.

Only time will tell if it holds up as well as other Senco nailers.

The other disappointment is that you need to oil this nailer, again, unlike other Senco products.

All in all, for the price and for what it is designed to do, the tool is a good buy. Senco, of course, does not include any fasteners in the box, nor do they include a cap for the 1/4" NPT fitting (which IS included). The oil bottle is very small, so purchase your fasteners when you purchase the nailer and get extra oil while you're at it.

Outstanding pin gun
As a trim carpenter I've used a lot of brad nailers, looking for the best results. When it comes to pinning delicate trim, such as scribe, 1/4" rope molding, or screen molding, even 18 guage brads are often too think and split the material. Not so with this 23 guage pinner. It's perfect for delicate work. I've even started using to install pre-finished crown molding in kitchens, the holes left are so small that I often don't have to putty, and even when the putty doesn't match well, it's nearly impossilbe to find the holes afterward. I highly recommend this gun to anyone who is concerned about the appearnce of nail holes on their finished work. And it's Senco, so you know it will stand up to the test of time and the punishment of constant use.

good, when it works
I install high end kitchens for a living. A pin nailer is a necessity for me, but I am still waiting for a good one to come out. I would pay triple the cost of this thing if they would come out with one that doesn't jam or misfire all the time.

Picture this, you're holding that crown moulding you just painstakingly cut to perfection and set in place...you hold it with one hand, apply your glue, grab the pinner and while holding both pieces together with one hand you gently ease the pinner to the perfect spot...squeeze slowly and pop. Pull the pinner back, let go and the pieces fall apart. Because the most frustrating tool in your box misfired AGAIN. I swear...I'd trade my new truck for a pinner that worked well.

But, like I said...can't live without one.

The Right Tool for the job.
I installed some cabinetry at home and used this tool beased on the reviews here to attach the scribes and delicate trim to these expensive hard maple cabinets. It worked like a charm. Never misfired, set the pins perfectly, no botched pins or split wood. Can't even see the holes, so its easier than gluing or puttying holes for an 18 gage nailer.

The nails/pins should be loaded one way only, and a few drops of oil at the beginning of the project keeps this gun performing flawlessly. No problems whatsoever.

Met expectations
I build small wooden props and sets for my photography studio, so I need to work clean and fast. This thing is great.....it does exactly what I wanted. My old pinner used bigger pins, actually tiny brad nails....so I had to fill them in with putty/and or drywall compound, then wait for it to dry, paint it, etc. Also the heads on the other pinner were big...and had to be set....sometimes even pulled out if they didn't go correctly into tiny molding. These pins don't really have a head..and seem to "set themselves" right below the surface...and a coat of paint (latex or spray paint for quick jobs) is enough to fill in the hole, what small hole is left, and make the pins invisible. It'll handle the smallest pieces of molding...I also had a little bit of veneer coming up on my kitchen floor...an older oak herringbone floor. I put a little bit of clear epoxy, then a piece of thin clear plastic to protect the pinner from the glue...and zap ....the 1/2" pins worked beautifully. This opens up a range of repair and building jobs that seemed difficult or impossible before.... It's also light, easy to handle, and smooth as silk. No jams so far....I can see a model builder using this to build very small wooden models....you can even use it to hold veneer in place, and other small pieces for set-ups...then pull them out without any noticeable holes.... ... Vrey good brad nailer
I bought the Senco 25 brad nailer last week. The decision between the Porter Cable and the Senco was difficult, I finally based the purchased on the wider range of brad lengths for the Senco and the oil less design . I have used them both and operation between the two is very similar. The Senco is [$] more and can't shoot into tight spots like the Porter Cable can due to the location of the safety nose.I did like the better construction of the Porter Cable, its part steel and part fiber resin, it appeared to be more durable, the no-mar tip is especially nice,and its very easy to see where you are shooting . The Senco is constructed almost totally of fiber resin materials and I wonder how well it will hold up to being dropped.The Senco power boast it awkward to use,the no-mar tip is too flexible and line of sight for shooting takes some getting use to. Either gun is good, the oil less feature is nice if you tend to to over oil your tools like I do.If your on a budget go with the Porter Cable.

I've been waiting years for this nailer to come out. While waiting I have bought and used several other 2" brad nailers. Not one compared very well against Senco's brad nailer, The SLP 20. It operates so much more smoothly , it isn't even funny. The oil-less design was revolutionary. Not only is it more convenient, it saves your work from oil stains. Still, I knew that Senco would one day produce a 2" brad nailer of their own. I also knew it would be the very best. I have to say ,it was worth the wait. Everything about it says quality. It carries all the best from the SLP 20 and improves on it. From the first brad you drive you will know just how good it is. Sooo smooth. No kick back like the other guns. Sooo powerful. You will never wonder if it's going to sink the nail. The adjustable depth of drive and exhaust are the icing on the cake. I also like the rubbery grip. It's very nice to hold. I have had no jams but if you ever do , they are easy to clear. Top it off with a hard to lose no mar tip and the ability to drive 2 1/8" brads and you have the best brad nailer at any price , bar none. Plus it's made in the U.S.A. all for just a few more dollars than the "cheapies". My imports are now for sale.

this got to be a joke from senco. i own a brad from hitichi,porter cable and now senco. after 5 shot of brad nail the gun jam every 5-6 shot. for the money i thought this was a well engineer gun, maybe senco lost their touch. if you don't mind wasting time changing jamm nails this is the gun!

Awesome,light...No jams
One thing i hate is a brad gun that jams!!! I love my senco fp25xp. I never owned one before, and never knew what to expect after getting it. After hearing all the nitemare stories on nailers that jam, or break down on the job, i decided to do some reseach. well, it paid off!!!! This nailer is just plain awesome. Its very light, comfortable to hold, and i shot over 1000 brads without a single jam, or breakdown. Futhermore the gun loads fast and easy. it's only 18 gauge, but you should see the wood this thing shoots thru...Thank You senco!!!!

Defective design does not hold up
I am a professional finish carpenter working in cabinet shop. I have been using this gun daily for three months. In the beginning it worked just fine, but it did not hold up. I do NOT use it heavily, mostly to install crown molding and scribe, perhaps a strip of nails a day maximum.

It started out not setting the nails properly, and now the belt is not driving the nails at all. The belt driver winds up and then winds down and won't shoot. Out of 8 carpenters in my shop who purchased this gun, I am number 6 to have to return it due to this defect. We have been instructed not to purchase anymore until they work the bugs out.

It may be a fine tool for a handyman or a casual user, but if you're a professional and need a reliable nail gun, I would recommend sticking with a compressor and a traditional air brad nailer.

All I can say is...WOW!
Just finished about 200 linear feet of baseboards, casings, and quarter-round. For the first half I used the old hammer and nail set, the second half I used the AF25 and was absolutely amazed at the results. The AF25 easily cut the install time in half and left me to concentrate on my cuts. The wind up time was not a bother, and you can still drive brads at a pretty good pace. I was trying to decide whether to go with this, or the Porter Cable pnumatic kit with the pancake compressor. With the Senco, there is no compressor to lug, no hoses to string, it's much quieter, and comes with 2 quick charge batteries so there should never be any down time. There is the drawback of not easily being able to add additional tools (like a framing nailer, etc.), but the brad driver will handle 90% of what I do (woodworking and casings) and I can get a framer with compressor later if needed (beware basement, your time is drawing near). The batteries are fully charged in less than an hour unless they are totally drained, then 1.5 hours. I had no trouble putting a 2" brad into solid ash anywhere from 1/4" proud of the surface to countersunk about 1/8".

Now when I see Norm say, "and I'll fasten this with a few brads to hold it 'till the glue dries", I can say, "hey, I can do that!"

I highly recommend this product, they put together a good package.

Lacks durability
Great gun when it works. However, I have gone through at least 4 (have lost exact count) of these guns. Local repair shops cannot work on them so they have to be sent back to Senco. Senco has been great about sending out replacements (covered by warranty) but every replacement has also broken. There is an obvious durability issue. I currently have 2 of them waiting to be sent back and am buying 2 more air-powered guns to replace them with. If you need a gun that is reliable, look for something else.

No Compressor or air lines!
I was a little skeptical when I purchased a Battery Powered brad nailer. But much to my suprize this really works and I mean good. It will shoot a 2 in brad through a 2X4!. There is no heavy air compressor to lug around and no air lines to get tangled up in. This is one of my most time saving purchases. Everyone that I have let borrow it have gone out and bought their own. Try one It will sell itself

Bostitch are tops!
I have had this gun for 2 months now . It is a really well built gun. After reading the firt guys review I was skeptical about buying this gun and then went ahead and bought one anyways (sometimes you have to try things yourself) After I purchased the gun I took it on a 15 Square job and the gun is excellent not one problem. I used Bostitch nails also. I have 4 RN-45-I Roofing nailers and thought they would not make a better gun. But after trying the RN-46 Bostitch has came up with a nother great gun. Keep up the good work Bostitch!!! I also just purchased a second Rn-46 this past week.

Oustanding
I'm really surprised with the first review of this gun. I had a buddy buy one, it gave him problems, he exchanged it the next day and his second gun has been flawless. I chalk it up to it being a new product on the market and to some of the initial guns having production glitches.

As for my experiences with it? I was considering the Hitachi Ultra-Light intially. I had been waiting for Bostitch to produce the rumored "lighter" gun too. Just before I went to get the Hitachi (which I kind of put off for a while because I heard that they just did'nt take a beating like their heavier standard guns did), the Bostitch finally came out and I got it. After over 20 years of roofing, I managed to do something I have'nt done in a long time. I surprised myself. I actually laid out shingles even faster than I normally do. I was going through coils so quickly that I thought my helper was'nt bringing me up what I needed. It's amazing even for a seasoned roofer, this gun is just balanced so rightly. I had the model before this one (the RN45B-1) and still do. It too is a workhorse and bulletproof. As with any tool, keep it clean and it'll run forever.

I believe it is the 2nd lightest gun on the market (behind the Hitachi), but I'll give up that extra pound of weight for performance anyday. It's fast and it keeps up with me. It also makes it easy to place the nails in the proper nailing area on the shingle (anybody can be fast, but being fast and placing the nails where they belong distinguishes a roofer). I had no problems with my other Bostitch; I just wanted the newest gun on the market and I'm happy I got it. I highly reccomend it. In one run, I knocked out 4 squares with a 30 foot valley to contend with in 23 minutes and did'nt even realize it. It's that quick.
Despite it's weight, it feels solid.

And a nice trick, when laying down felt, hold it down and it shoots off nails like a machine gun. You drag the gun across the felt and it fires them off at equal intervals depending on how fast your dragging the gun. In less than a second, I nail down a 6 to 7 linear foot line that secures my paper and let's me get to shingling. The nail lockout feature saves shingles and the see-thru coil canister is a must when your changing coils on a basis of one every couple of minutes or so.

I've used other guns and for me there is no excuse for poor performance. There is nothing more frustrating than having to stop "hummin'" just to clear out a gun. When you make a living laying shingles, you have to have the best. Just like anything in life, accessorize it right (in other words, use only brand name coil nails) and you should'nt have any problems. This gun takes your skill and multiplies it.

This, for me, is The Best.

This is the worst nailer I have ever used!!!
Just received the nailer and did a 2500sq ft roofing job with 3 tab comp. Just standard roofing. This nailer keeps shooting doubles and triples when it doesn't mis-feed. In over 35 years as a construction professional I have never had a tool this difficult to use. I am a big guy (250 pounds) and have a firm grip. The nailer shoots multiple nails no matter how hard I lean on it so bounce is not a factor.Every several nails it will not feed it makes a kind of a wheezing sound and then pops into place. Sometimes it has to be advanced by pulling on the feed arm. The depth adjustment is a clic stop type and does not seem to be very acurate: the nail either stands proud or it gets punched right through the shingles. I have a number of nailers and my favorites are Senco and Porter Cable. Regardless of what I have read in my opinion Porter Cable still makes very good power tools: I should have stuck with Porter Cable for the roofing nailer. Second Review
Last November I placed this bag in use. It still is not full but I have managed to load it to 70-80 lbs. This bag carries all of the immediate hand tools I use. This bag is rugged, well designed, roomy and has lasting value. It still maintains its' shape even with a heavy load. Turn it over, drop it or kick it around; it still keeps its shape, the zippers funtion great and nothing inside is damaged or falls out. Great product and I will probably order another just to balance out the weight of the contents.

Overbuilt for me
I'd give this bag 5 stars for the fact that it's built like a brick SH, you get mucho durability for your money. But I returned mine. The shipping weight alone should have tripped a circuit in my brain - 8 lbs! This is a heavy bag. If all you do is lug this from the tailgate to the jobsite - say 30 to 50 ft - you'll love it. It'll outlast you. But I work in NYC apartments and haul a lot of what I have to use to the site - and up many stairs. Plus, the design of this bag begs to be loaded with all the tools you have - even the ones you don't need or use anymore. When it arrived, I had an epiphany...I need 3 or 4 bags (lighter bags) loaded with specific tools for specific jobs - take what I need, leave the rest. If it fits your style of work I'm sure you wouldn't be dissatisfied with the Veto bag - but it wasn't for me. I wish the company made a bag that was ½ to a 1/3 the size/weight. I'd keep that one.

Close to perfect
Heavy duty and shoulder strap makes it easy to carry for long distances. Plus the various sized pockets inside are great. I still recommend using a small utility box for screws and such,which can easily fit inside the bag. There is only one complaint that I have. There is no max weight limit and considering the size of the bag I easily had 45lbs. of tools that I was carrying which eventually cracked the handle on top of the bag after a year. This was a minor problem as I repaired it with heavier duty material. I still highly praise this bag.

Great Bag
Received this bag several weeks back and have been using it on the job with great success. I used to haul tools around in two individual bags and always had to "fish" for the item needed. This one bag holds everything my two other bags held but now there is more than enough room for additional hand tools and they are much better organized. I have yet to "fill up" this new bag and I can carry it with one hand; this bag is much better engineered.

I hope the guy that perfected this bag is working on other new innovations; I am anxious to see his next idea.

Nothing else like it
As a remodeling contractor, I've also tried many different tool boxes/bags and none of them have been satisfactory...until now. This tool bag is very well designed and well made. Some might consider it alittle spendy, but like any quality tool, you get what you pay for. My old $50 bag was nothing but a dust catcher.
