I gave a real harsh review of my loveless orinally .But to get better suction i removed one of the filters .it still not loaded with suction But ; it is dustless and does real nice for drywall .hook it to my power tools also .smoked two other vac doing this but doesn't seem to bother the loveless.not buying filters ,just wash these if needed .so in perspective it does alright .i have a 50$ sears one for general cleanup.oh and mine has never popped a breaker .

Don't Waste Your Money!
When I saw this product on This Old House, it looked like the answer to my dreams - I only wish! When the product arrived, I assembled it and tried it to make sure it worked. My reaction was that it was slow, but the lack of dust was a real positive. At the time, I wasn't ready to use it for a project, so packed it away for a few months.

Last week, I took it out, followed the instructions for oiling (which involves trying to get a special oil they include through a pin hole), and started to use it. Again, I found that I could do the work by hand 3 or 4 times as fast, but there was virtually no dust. Being retired, time isn't as valuable as it used to be, so I continued for 20 minutes, when the unit stopped working altogether. The minimal, poorly written instructions gave some guidance for troubleshooting, which proved to be totally ineffective. Since I'm an engineer, I proceeded to disassemble it, and found pretty chintzy construction consisting of primarily plastic parts. After cleaning everything off as well as I could, I did manage to get the fly-wheel sort of contraption which drives the oscillation to spin, but only if I gave it a push to get it started. This, of course, is useless once the mechanism which holds the sandpaper is put back on. I concluded that the company gives a 30 day warranty for a reason. Mine's going in the trash can!

The shop vac part of it has some attractive features, like machine washable filters, but mine trips the GFCI circuit every time I turn it on. Since most codes require GFCI circuits in garages, basements, and shops, it requires using an extension cord to some other part of the house. No way I'd buy this poorly engineered product again.

Good enough to get another!
I thought a $... broom was a bit much but was tired of unraveling the cord and then wrapping back up again everytime I wanted to vacuum some cat hair or a small spill. After two weeks of using this very light weight and versatile cordless broom, I'm ordering another for upstairs. I use this more than a vacuum because I can grab it and pick something up and have it back in its rack before I can get the normal vac out. Don't expect it to suck something up, it just brushes it into a holding tray but it does the trick and is extremely easy to empty. A great product that should have been invented a long time ago.

Great product. It picks up crumbs like crazy, I use it in my garage to pick up leaves and grass clippings. Also good for dust on my tile floor. Told my neighbors about it and im sure they will get one. makes my life a little easier.

GOOD BUT DOESN'T LAST
I bought this sweeper after reading the reviews and it worked great for about six months, then the charger stopped working. I suppose I could try a new charger or talk to the manufactorer about how to replace the battery(if you can); but who wants to bother? By the time I order the replacement parts and pay for shipping I could almost by a new sweeper. I was really dissapointed with this one.

Now the Kids Sweep the Floor
We have a large area in our home of tile and hardwood. This electric broom works wonderfully to just pull out and quickly have the floors clean. With kids it seems there is always something that needs to be cleaned. The best part with this product is that the kids think it is cool and fun to use the electric broom - now they fight over who gets to clean the floors. I like that problem.

A great investment for all people that have dust problems
I purchased Model 16004QV. This is one great dust collecting machine. I used a 2 1/2 to 1 1/4 inch adapter to hook my Porter Cable sander to the vacuum. In my kitchen I have Parquet floors that needed refinishing. I sanded the floor three times and applied poly after each sanding. After the final coat had dried I used a wet paper towel to wipe the counter tops, absolutley no dust on counters. The only regret that I have is that the Turbo Carpet Head and Deluxe Floor tool were not available from Tool Crib. I purchased these seperately from Love-less Ash Company. I almost lost my vac. when my wife used the carpet head in the house. It vacuums carpets better than the Kirby or other machines I have used. The crevice tool supplied really gets the dust and dirt out of corners and on top of base boards. I don't ever plan on sanding again without my Love-less attached to the sander. I can see no reason to have a dust table to sand on when you can purchase this vacuum so economical. It is a must for every woodworkers shop. ... Read more

wow!
This little vacuum will simply amaze you..you know those grains of sand you get in the carpet..it picks them up with only one pass..my biggest problem was having to use my other hand to hold the car carpet matts down while I vacuumed them..as the van n blow was lifting them off the floor..I cleaned up all the dust and lint around my computer...and on top of the entertainment center..initially I was just looking for a really good auto vacuum(I got the micro-tools also)..but as you can see there are so many uses .you will have no regrets believe me..stop paying 4 buck everytime you go to the car wash to use the vacuum...this hummer will have your car interior looking like new..

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT
I tried to purchase this vac from Amazon but they kept sending me busted machines for some reason. But once I got it from another site - WOW - this is the single most efficient and powerful vacuum I've ever had. It is GREAT!!!
I got the model with wheels and a strap for carrying up the stairs and extra long hose. It is perfect for hard to reach places. All I can say EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. EVERY HOME SHOULD HAVE ONE.

Great Vacuum
This is a great vacuum. Small and very powerful and can be used as a blower. The vacuum wasn't packaged very well when it was shippid though, I can see a small dent on it. It seems to run fine. The directions were a bit thin too. I would buy this again without a doubt.

Great vacuum, but....
I would have given this 5 stars, but there were 2 things that would need to be improved.

1. This is the worst packaged item I have ever seen in my entire online ordering life. The box was torn through by the opening attachment of the vacuum, so that part was sticking out of the box, dented and scratched. Not even a sign of any padding...booooo!

2. I think they forgot that vacuums come with a long cord. They gave it 12 inches if not less. No print out of instructions on how to do anything or pictures.

i have travelled far and wide and one thing i do not want by my side is a vac i wish to put one on my back but here in stupid england you have to push and shove, if i had one on my back id walk through town and never look back, they would be stopping me in the street, were did you get that, not a chance not one to be had .had to bye a boreing d-so-. next time i need one i will fly to USA and be sure to make an impact they wont believe there eyes a vac that go,s on the back i wish.

It does what you think it does
I have a couple shop vacs in the shop and garage so I'm familiar with their quality. I got this one to walk around the house and clean out the corners; along the side of the fridge; around the fireplace etc. Works great. Picks up little wood chunks around the fireplace just like a shop-vac should - not like an upright which requires major surgery when it breaths in such things. Not as noisy as an upright hoover. The fifty foot cord is more than enough and you really can walk around the house comfortably with the thing on your back. Fantastic for FLOOR!!
I love this for our floor. This vacuum works great for me to pick up all the stuff from the floor before I mop or just every few days for maintenance work. It's light-weight and easy to use. The only time I have to bend down is to get under the couch. I would NOT recommend this on carpet, but it's great on tiles and wood floor which is what we have. I've been able to avoid lots of major mopping before company arrives by just using this vacuum.

OK OK, well the kidds like it!
I got this as a promo for buying a few "bazillion" dollars worth of Makita tools. The wife thinks is a poor excuse for a gift, ouch! The kids think its fun to play with. I use it as my emergency extra 9.6 battery stash. Somebody told me it was a vacuum, call it a toy and give it to the kids. You'll get more for your money if you do that, then trying to vacuum with it.

Pathetic for the cost
You would think that, given the cost and the fact that the batteries/charger cost AS MUCH as the vacuum - you'd be getting some commercial level quality.
This is NOT the case. Anything over the dust-bunny level isn't going to get picked up by this. Save your $$ and just get a Black and Decker. Or 4 for that matter.

Way Overpriced
I'm sorry, but I am disappointed with my purchase. I love the concept of a cordless vacuum with the extention, but even the 9.6v is too weak. It's not effective for much more than dust balls. Any debris with any weight to it will fall right back out when you turn it off. Definitely room for improvement.

All the cost?
G-Day Mate The Makita cordless cleaner is a very good cleaner, but in the review the cost of the battery and charger is not included. Some info about the charger would be good. I live in Australia, so what sort of price would I pay landed here.? I would like to send one to my mother-in- law, who has a bad back. Cleaning up with this unit is much better on my back so I'll know she will love it. God Bless Makita Cordless.

Dust bags tough to find
Dust bags, cloth or paper, are tough to find for this vacuum. Amazon doesn't sell them and Milwaukee has a $30.00 minimum order. So, if like me, you live in a rural area, better make that original bag that comes with the machine last a long, long time.

The little vacum that couldn't
I own a lot of Milwaukee tools, among those from most other major brands, and bought this sight unseen. I figured between the reviews, the brand, and the price, it must be a great vac. I was expecting a tornado in a shoe box. Unfortunately, this is the first Milwaukee product I've purchased and been notably unhappy with. Not that it doesn't vacum ok, it does, but for the price I expect it to suck a tennis ball through a 1/2" pipe...

I plan to keep this vac., but only because returning it is more hassle than I have time for. I had hoped I could attach a longer hose and use it with my various sanders, and I'll still try to, but my guess is that the longer hose will fiurther lessen it's suction. As said, in the past I have had blind faith in Milwaukee's products. I'll be giving a second thought to purchases outside their primary product lines from this point forward. This one's a dud.

Surprised by small size..however very impressed by its power. Now if I can only purchase bags for it on Amazon..it would work a lot better

Super powerful and extremely light weight and compact.
Make sure to have both feet centered on area rugs when you use this perky little vacuum! It is more powerful than vacuums I have owned that were four times the size and four times the money!!! Be forewarned, do not vacuum venetian blinds without the proper attachment or brush, with this vacuum...they will dent. I found out the hard way and I have the wide slat aluminum blinds.
