Symptoms of '75 Nova: white smoke from tailpipe, smoke from head gasket area of engine, very rough idle, overheating & losing water so badly car could be driven only a few miles, oil in water, water in oil, leaking freeze plugs. My mechanic recommended a block sealer but thought damage was so bad it would not work. K -W was recommended by clerk at Napa Auto parts. It cost $7! Mechanic drained the cooling system as directed (won't work with anti-freeze) & added it; let it dry for 24 hours.

All symptoms are completely gone including leaking freeze plugs! Idles so smoothly, you can hardly tell engine is on. Runs great both in town and on freeway.

After replacing radiator, car's tendency to run hot above 55mph was corrected.With new 3 row radiator (instead of former 2 row), there isn't even overflow into overflow tank after freeway driving!Owner's manual states that "normal driving" condtions will have overflow into overflow tank up to HOT level marked on this tank.The impaired radiator is probably what blew the head gasket.I diagnosed the impaired radiator by observingthe inner radiator with cap off, car idling, and taking out a couple inches of water from top of radiator.The evidence of a bad radiator was weak flow from 2 of the 4 water outlets visible.

There is an old saying "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Not so here.

I have driven 1000 miles without any evidence of blown head gasket or leaking freeze plugs.

Don't know if it will work for your car but for the price, it's worth a try.
