You get what you pay for!
For the price you are paying, this toolset is a bargain. However the tools themselves and the contruction of the metal box leave little to be desired. My initial impression of the product was satisfactory until I tried to take the tools out its molded plastic holder. The molds were made a little too small that when I succeeded pulling any of the tools out, the plastic mold was deformed visibly. Also when the socket wrench was a little tight fitting and when I attempted to pull socket out it ended up bending a metal washer inside the rotating portion of wrench. Bottom line is this. For the price you're paying, you will get exactly what you pay for. Luckily comes with a lifetime warranty so if you break something you can get it replaced. If you're a penny pincher then this maybe a tool set for you but if you're looking for a high quality tool set I would recommend you go with a brand name (Craftman, Stanley, etc.)

Pretty good.
I like the tool set and all the items that came with it. I have only one complaint, I've only had it for about two weeks and one of the clips on the front side of the box has broken through the housing of the down bracing lock showing poor manufacturing. I'm not picky about tools but I think anyone thinking about buying this item should know about it.

Perfect car toolbox
I ordered this because we needed one for the car.It doesn't have a hammer,but throw in a small one of yours and it's perfect.There is also enough room to add other tools you might feel you need. The size is compact, and it fits almost anywhere.The tools are just enough to carry along.Best of all the drawer won't open unless the lid of the box is up.That's a handy feature for transporting from one place to another. It has come in handy twice already, and we've only had it for a for a few weeks.Definitely a best buy for the price.

One tough tool
I have used "the beast" to remove several roofs, some with 3 layers of shingles. It stands up to heavy use and does a great job pulling nails and lifting the roofing. The 3-position pitch adjustment is a nice feature, but the caps come off the spring-held rod in the position adjustment which in turn allows the rod to slip out of position. hats off to stabila
how do you argue with a lifetime warranty. i assume the manufacturer if pretty confident. for good reason. this is a top notch level. i have 5 stabila's and this one gets the most use. easy to read vials, rubber feet for wall grip, and convenient hand holes.

my first had a vial lose its fluid. so i took it back and stabila gave me a new one. buy this one and you are set for life!

the best for your money
After working with my father for years I got a healthy repect for quality tools. My father being very rough on tools would only buy the toughest. In the business of framing houses the toughest tends to be more expensive. As I,ve come into my own try I might too get a cheap tool thinking I got a deal only to realize with a few more bucks my broken tool wouldn't be; and the projects would have been that much easier to build. In short my father has been using this level since it was available and it has taken his abuse and mine.

The Best Framing Level
I had never used a Stabila level prior to using this framing piece. With a lifetime guarantee on the vials, and an accuracy of within .029, I will never use another level. I have given away my other four foot level to a friend as I know that I will never use it again. Stabila has all of the nice little touches like the rubber pads that keep the level from slipping and good handholds. Buy it and be happy.

Like the other reviewers, this is a fantastic level. How can a level be that much better? Simple, I compared this level against my previous " standard" Johnson levels. I did a simple test while hanging a series of shelving units, I used my Stabila 48, hung the unit. Just for kicks, I set my Johnson 48" on the same unit, it read differently, I then got concerned, which was right? I then took the Stabila 24" out of the padded case and set it on the same shelf, it read level just like the Stabila 48" , I then found my older Johnson mahogany 24", it read different than all three - problem solved STABILA is the way to go - but I am sure the trash man liked the Johnson levels I donated to him. The Pacific Laser Systems PLS2E is an improvement on the popular PLS2 Palm laser. The PLS2E is now detectable and can be used outdoors when the laser is not visible in the bright sunlight. This is a self-leveling line generating laser, it will self-level when placed within 6% of level. If the unit is not able to self level the line will not turn on so a visible line is a plumb or level line, no mistakes. The PLS2E has 4 functions controlled by one button: Push the button once and you get a visible horizontal level line going out from the tool at a 90 degree fan angle, if placed in a corner the line will cover 4/5th of a room. Push the button a second time and the line changes from level to plumb giving you a vertical line across the floor, up the wall and across the ceiling. A little too Tall
The ladder woks great except where one has 8 ft ceilings. When I moved upstairs to paint, I discovered this dilemma. I can stand on a lower step, but they are not a comfortable platform when you are up on the ladder for the better part of an afternoon.

Best Of its Kind
I have had this ladder for about a year now and it has been about the most stable, versatile, handy ladder I have ever used. It holds a bucket of paint, or tools, or whatever you need on the tray that extends down. My wife uses it reach hard to clean things like fans and corners. This ladder definatly a step above most others like it.

I didn't think a ladder could be so exciting but this one is, compared to regular ladders, this one is a must, the steps are much wider, great when hanging lamps, changing bulbs, etc, you don't have to worry about balancing and your feet don't get cramps in them from the rungs, like on a regular ladder. Great Economical Large Caliper
I ordered the 12" Avenger Digital Caliper with the intentions of checking it out and probably sending it back, but I was surprised with value. I also own a 6" Mitutoyo Digimatic which I've had for over 6 years. The Avenger is twice the length and about a third the price I paid for my Mitutoyo!

I had my QA department check it out. Their first comment was that I must have dropped a couple hundred dollars for it. They said that the accuracy is fair, and to keep it away from coolant or other liquids because it would fry the electronics. So, it probably wouldn't hold up well in a machining production environment.

There are almost no places on the Avenger Caliper for chips to end up as with dial-type calipers. And few moving parts to maintain or give accuracy problems. It also comes with a full lifetime product warranty.

The Avenger is a very similar design as compared to my Mitutoyo. They both incorporate the following features: 1) an Absolute Scale to always read true position, 2) Inch/Metric conversion button, 3) depth bar, 4) foam padded case, 5) thumb roll, 6) Locking thumb screw, 7) and floating zero measuring. I was also surprised to find that they both use the same battery and my depth gage fit both units.

DIFFICULT CHORE SO MUCH EASIER AND FASTER
Dear John Laurent, I wanted to let you know how satisfied we are with your Grout Grabber, grout removal tool. We are a good size ceramic tile contracting firm and we have to remove and replace tile on a daily basis. Your product has made this difficult chore so much easier and faster. Prior to purchasing the Grout Grabber tile and grout removal was a terribly messy job. customers would complain about the dust created by the old process. Now we remove the grout with the Grout Grabber which causes very minimal dust which makes our installers, as well as our customers very happy. Maybe okay theoretically, but a ripoff in practice
I've just wasted some money and time discovering the Grout Grabber doesn't work worth a (darn). Apply any pressure whatsoever to the tool, and it bends sideways. Despite a firm graasp on the reciproating saw, this "tool" dances all over the place, thus damaging the surrounding tiles. Bad news!!

I'm going to get a diamond blade for my Rotozip and try that. Meanwhile, we're using a Hilti demolition hammer to tear the whole floor out and start over.

Best Regrouting Option!!
I have 380 sq ft of ceramic 1'x1' tiles in my kitchen and down the hall, this SIMPLE tool made the job do-able with only chipping (2) tiles.
Don't get me wrong I had some hard grout and it took me 16.5 hrs and 8 double blade (2 blades at a time) changes...I wore those blades down to a nub and they still cut.
If I would had used a circle saw my house would still be in a cloud of dust and I also tried the rotozip thing (my first plunge I was chipping tiles).
I only gave 4 stars because of the dust. It's not dustless but it definalty is less dust.
BUY IT!!

Buy a Rotozip instead
I found the Grout Grabber to be all but useless. First, a proviso: my grout was extremely nasty - very hard, more like stucco actually. Sure, this tool removed some of it, though not quickly and not without a bunch of blade changes. Maneuvering the large sawzall around the enclosed spaces that were tiled was pretty tedious too.

After struggling with this for a few hours and getting a moderate amount of work done, a buddy recommended a Rotozip, and loaned me his. A quick trip to the hardware store for a diamond blade and I was in business. The Rotozip did the trick. It was fast, went through the grout like my circular saw goes through wood. It also went through the chicken wire that was holding the mortar in place, throwing off some lovely (but harmless) sparks.

Note that I didn't use the carbide grout bit, which I tried and found to be useless. I used a circular diamond blade intended for tile, cement and so forth. Note as well that this blade isn't recommended for the speed of the cheaper Rotozip, but that's what I had and it worked.

Anyway, the combination of the Rotozip RTM01 with RotoZip ZM101 and the Dry Diamond blade worked like a dream. There is a more expensive Rotozip with adjustable speed that should work as well and perhaps be safer. ... Read more

Great rotary laser--German Quality for under $200.
This rotary laser hails from Germany, a rarity in the under $500 rotary laser market. Similar products typically originate in China; finding a German made rotary at this price point is a serious find. Using the Robotoolz RT-3620 could NOT be easier; it only has 2 buttons; one is the ON/OFF and one is a 3 position mode button. It also has a shield over the rotary laser itself that allows you to further fine tune the laser for more accurate work. Ergonomics are superb; a chimp could work this laser. As with all rotary lasers, exercise caution to not look directly at the laser; it may be 'eye-safe', but I would make it a point to train yourself to keep your eyes away from it. If you're used to simple laser pointing devices, don't trick yourself into thinking this one isn't MUCH brighter; it is.

The RoboTools rotary laser can be used for plumb or level; it actually has two laser exits, one horizontal and one vertical, although you'd be hard pressed to use them both, concurrently. My only complaint, but one I knew before I purchased, is that this laser is NOT self-leveling. Self leveling is a great convenience, but RoboTools thoughtfully provided 3 bubble levels to allow you to get the laser in level across 2 planes. Fine tuning is accomplished with dial wheels that really fine tune the accuracy.

Overall, a great bargain on a well made, well engineered rotary laser. If you haven't used a rotary laser level, I can only state that once you do, you'll wonder how you EVER got along without them previously. They make hanging shelves and cabinets fun again! ... Read more

Small but mighty
I have been restoring a hundred year old home. I wouldn't be without this amazing tool on the job. It has the ability to remove any nail, no matter how buried or deteriorated. It can even go up under cedar shingles to twist off small nails that are inaccessable. It is compact and easily carried up and down the ladder in a small tool belt, something that is a pain with a bigger pry bar.

small but packs a big punch!
I bought this nail puller last summer and its still kickin! its a little small but with a couple wacks of a hammer, itll dig right into the wood and surface the nail to where you can get your hammer on it, then its yours. one time i had to take out like 40 nails because we had to move a whole wall and it made quick work of it. it also comes in handy for the saw wrench too, my boss loves that. highly recommend buying, great quality, death stick did again (keep out of rain if u can, rusts easy, but rust comes off with use real easy too) PS:it says home improvement enthusiast, but im a part time framer(full time summer)

Great nail puller
I use this professionally, and i don't know whatever anyone elses problem is. The smaller size of the head allows for deeper digging and gripping of the shank rather than the head, often quite important in an old rusted nail. The circular saw key is invaluable after you just ate four nails and need that blade changed NOW, and the bottle opener... a novelty thats come in handy on more than one occasion. It fits perfectly in my pouch. The only reason i'm back here looking is mine walked off the job site- in someone elses pouch.

great if it didnt break
i bought this nail puller for my boyfriend. he was using it on the job site, putting down plywood on a roof,when he went to pull the nail,which was a 16 common. the claw on the nail puller broke and almost caused him to fall. he said he would be pleased with the product if it was more durable. why would it break? isnt it suppose to be a nail puller?
