Got to have it
The Keypad is a must. It is very easy to use and install. Setting a temporary code is very useful when you grant someone access to your garage.

Not well designed
Two problems with this unit.
1. Light from your bulbs sometimes shut this thing off, causing lights to turn off.
2. Will not control a relay so that you can use high powered lights. Won't be a problem for homeowners though.

Good all-around detector
I bought this detector because I wanted to be able to turn on my front porch light when someone drove up in my large yard. I mounted it some distance away from the light fixture. The 3 timer modes, sensitivity adjustment, and photo cell features all combine to make this an exceptional tool in controlling outside lights. Detection is a problem
I've had my unit for about a year. I'm 80% pleased with the product. I have the detector set on high, but sometimes miss the incoming vehicle. I have tried different locations and angles without much change. The distance is about 600 feet from the receiver. It seems like the dector needs to be set at a higher sensitive level.

Good range, but unreliable detection
I've had this unit for 6 months now, always trying to adjust it and put it in different locations, high and low, far and away to get a reliable signal when someone arrives in the driveway. Range does not seem to be a problem. I have the unit currently about 600 ft. from the receiver in the house. However, detection does seem to be a problem. Even with the jumper setting adjusted to high sensitivity (I think the range is then 11-15ft. away), I have to get within about 2-3 feet of the unit with a vehicle to get it to detect. If it detects, the chime immediately goes off in the house. And I also think the speed of the vehicle travelling by the unit has something to do with it. It's about a 50/50 hit whether or not it actually detects the vehicle. I'm going to try the company themselves (1yr. warranty) to see what the problem is. I WANT it to work.

No more surprise door bells!
At first I couldn't be more pleased with this product. But after a few months I began to get many false positives. I called the company and was instructed me to change the batteries which I did but this did not correct the problem. Customer service allowed me to exchange the monitor for a new unit. Again the sensor worked great for about 2 months before the false alarms began again. Now I am experiencing at least 6 false alerts per day. Gets very annoying mostly because I have 2 dogs who bark every time the chime goes off.

The concept is great and comes in very handy when there actually is someone pulling into the driveway. For the most part the sensor only detects cars. Other brands are simply motion detectors which go off any time motion is detected (ex. an animal, strong winds).
