Amazon.com Review

Bags like Bucket Boss's GateMouth are becoming more and more popular with contractors these days. They're much lighter than conventional toolboxes and, with advances in material technology, they hold up to rigorous on-the-job use. For the Pro Super GateMouth model, Bucket Boss uses its Boss Tex ballistic fabric--tightly woven and extra thick, this stuff holds up to continuous abuse from sharp edges and points. The Pro Super GateMouth has 39 exterior pockets and 10 interior, and comes with adjustable outside straps for quick access to a level or long-handle tool. It also has a beefy shoulder strap; a reinforced, super-wide opening; reinforced handles; and an identification window, so you don't mistake yours for your buddy's. Very portable and very flexible, the GateMouth is worth considering if you're in the market for a new tool "box." --Jonathon Tudor ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Bag, Great Price
I just bought this bag for my husband who is always out working on cars or doing some kind of mechanical/electrical/plumbing favors for friends and family. Up until now, he puts all the equipment and tools he needs for each job in plastic Giant grocery bags to carry from one place to the other.

I saw this bag and thought it would be great for him to use instead of those grocery bags.

This bag has a place for his level, a loop to hold the electrical tape he is always misplacing, a place for a small flashlight, his tape measurer can just slide on to the front and there are so many pockets for tools and enough room to basically hold anything he needs to take with him.

For what he does and the tools he takes with him, it's the perfect size - not too big and not too small. And it's got to be more comfortable carrying than those grocery bags that eventually tear on him or get holes in them.

Also, it's a really nice looking bag. Very professional yet still rugged looking.

My husband really liked the look of the bag and thinks he will be able to put it to alot of use.

The only thing that would be nice for this bag are little plastic feet on the bottom. That way you don't have to worry about putting the bag on the floor and getting it wet or dirty...

All in all, this is a great looking and very usable bag.

My husband and I were both impressed when we received it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Nice
After having most of my frequently used tools lost around the house, I finally have an excellent (and big) bag to keep them and transport them in. When it is open, the top is wide and flat like a box so you can see everything. Lots of pockets. The material is tough and flexible and will last me forever.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Best I Have Found, But Still Not The Best
I bought this bag to consolidate some of the 4-5 toolboxes I have been using (including one of their smaller models).

I purchased this based on the performance of the smaller bag that I have and it has preformed amazingly well (Three years of weekend use carrying way more than it was supposed to, without a rip or other problem.)

I got this bag and was really excited to try it out. I started stuffing things in the pockets and quickly found out that I had to be careful what I put where. I put a small pen light in one pocket and it made it impossible to put anything in three other pockets (including one on the inside.)

Even so this thing can hold quite a bit. Right now it has almost all of my carpentry tools, a set of electric tools, a few plumbing tools and various assorted other things. It basically swallowed two toolboxes I was already using.

I wouldn't recommend this for the mechanic as it does not seem like it would do well with wrenches and sockets, but for the handyman or carpenter it cannot be beat.

The size is great, you'll always have room in the bag to dig for tools, because it you fill it you won't be able to carry it. Mine is pushing 40 pounds of tools and I have plenty of room left.

I would have given this 5 stars if they had spent a little more time designing the pockets instead of trying to say they have so many.

Still if you are looking to buy this, buy it already, you won't be disappointed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice & Big
I just traded in my old reliable canvas bag for this one. It was hard to do (I love the canvas) but the extra interior space saves me a lot of trips to the truck. My only complaint is that some of the exterior pockets are pretty small. Many of them are too "tight" to use for much. All in all, a really good bag with lots of room.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than Metal!
I've retired most of my steel toolboxes in favor of a number of these units. They're rugged, never rust, are far better organized than most steel boxes and cheap enough to devote different bags to different tasks.

I've got a plumbing bag, a bicycle repair bag, an electrical/telephone/data wiring bag, a bag with my impact drill and associated bits, a boat rigging anbd repair bag, an emergency car tool/jumper cable bag and probably one or two I'm forgetting. A superb product with no flaws I can think of. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars First Rate
Loosing the power cord on the air compressor is worth the purchase price. If you ever had to fill tires on a trailer you know what I am talking about.

Invertor works well, but keep in mind 300Watts of battery power is a small bucket of power, don't try any inductive loads. I managed to burn out the invertor. Xantrax honored the warantee and replace the unit no questions asked. Refreshing change after dealing with Sony's warantee department!

Highly recommended

5-0 out of 5 stars instant AC power
If your power goes out you can live, for a while, with no lights. The operation of a sump pump is a different matter. Last year I spent 5 hours bailing a sump pump hole with a plastic pitcher. Not enjoyable. I went everywhere looking for this type of unit and spent an hour on the internet. The Xantrex 852-1840 generator seems to be a great insurance policy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good overall; takes a long time to charge
Overall, I am pleased with this product. However, I ran into the same issues addressed by Ron Campbell in his review. Although the manual states it takes about 40 hours to recharge using the AC adapter (plus an additional 15 hours if you don't see the green light after 40 hours), it took more like 72 hours before I got the green light indicating full charge. The owner's manual states that longer charge times are indicative of less than 120 volts at the wall outlet. I find it hard to believe that my three-year-old house does not have 120 volts at the outlets, but I guess that is possible.

I bought this to use as an emergency jump-start unit and to add air to my tires after they are deflated for offroad travel. It seems to suit my needs. I would recommend this product, but be aware that the charge times may take twice as long as those stated by the manufacturer.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Useful
I have found it to hold a charge very well. It is great to have a back-up when rv camping. It is also reassuring to know that when camping in remote areas that you have an emergency if your vehicle doesn't start. I consider this a good buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best invention since sliced bread!
I have sleep apnea and need a machine to help me breath when I sleep. During power failures, I have had to stay up until the power came back on until I received this machine as a birthday gift. It will run my CPAP machine for more than 8 hours! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A real help.
What a great use of a very simple concept. The guy who came up with this idea is pure genius. A must have for installing wood floors.Quickly and easily closes gaps without damaging the flooring.Simple setup makes it an effecient tool to use. It's worth every penny.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great tool for hardwood flooring
The Cepco floor jack is a fantastic tool if you are installing hardwood flooring and want really tight joints in those areas next to a wall where you cannot get a flooring nailer. Instead of using screwdrivers, chisels, or wedges to force the flooring together, the floor jack simply presses it into place with no bother and no fuss.

I recommend using a 2x4 or 2x6 at least 36" long against the wall that you are going to press against to keep from damaging the wall or pushing a single stud out of place. The wall jack can generate a lot of force and in the hands of a careless installer it could dislocate a wall or partition.

While this tool is designed primarily for installing hardwood flooring, creative carpenters will undoubtedly find many was to use this tool to precisely move framing members. It is worth every penny that I paid for it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Installation of Werner PK80-2 auto-leveler
The instructions are detailed and didn't leave anything to the imagination. The instructions have different sections for the different ladders and require a careful study before and during the installation. At least the instructions are only in English, having multilingual instructions would make it way too confusing.

Installation took about 3 hours to accomplish for my D6020-2 20' fiberglass ladder and its a little scary permanently modifying such a nice ladder knowing that if you mess up the ladder can be permanently damaged or made useless. Take your time. Here is my list of things to be aware of going into this installation.

1) Be very careful aligning the drilling templates!!!

2) Center punch the hole positions good then your drill bit shouldn't wander. I didn't need to do this but you might pre-drill the holes with a smaller bit if necessary. You have 6 holes to drill over about 14" x 3" area so the drilling must be done very precisely if the side rail is to align correctly. The rail bracket doesn't have any give in it for error.

3) Double or triple check your measurements/instructions and drill bit sizes. Be very careful sawing off the square aluminum bar that runs through the rung as it has to be within 1/8" accuracy.

4) Don't remove the black electrical tape that comes on the side rails, this is done near the end of the installation.

5) Hack-sawing the side rail is the easy part. Previous review recommends a cutoff wheel which I'm sure works well but isn't necessary. Before doing this I'd mount the side rails to check your drilling accuracy. This is the point of no return before cutting off the existing ladder feet. If you messed up the drilling which I'm sure you won't if you are careful you can always abort the project here if necessary. The holes shouldn't hurt the ladder but cut off the feet and their side rails supports and, game over.

6) Drilling out the heavy rivets from the bottom rung is a royal pain and maybe a cutoff wheel would remove the head faster. I don't do that everyday so I'm sure there are better methods.

7) Have a good clutched drill and a 7/16" socket and it will speed up putting the 14 nuts on the side rails and the two feet.

8) Make sure you have good sharp drill bits, the sizes are indicated in a previous review and note they are less common drill bit sizes.

9) Wear a mask for the fiberglass drilling.

Good product, the ladder is definitely better and even stronger when the project is finished!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great ladder accessory with a few caveats
As advertised, the PK80-2 Automatic Ladder Leveler easily adjusts to uneven ground. If you frequently use your stepladder in these conditions, this accessory is indispensible. This accessory does have the following disadvantages:

1. Installation should be done by an experienced handyman. Allocate a few hours to do the installation. Messing up the install may ruin the ladder, as the original ladder feet must be cut off.

2. The ladder will be somewhat heavier with the levelers installed. Before the levelers, I was able to easily move my 26-foot fiberglass extension ladder; with the levelers, I typically require help handling the ladder.

3. Installing the levelers widens the ladder foot spacing, as the levelers are placed outboard of the ladder rails. The resulting width is greater than the depth of two standard stair step depths, and the adjustment range of the leveler won't span two standard step heights; so, if your expecting to use the ladder against a wall with the feet on different steps of a stair, you'll likely have to still need some sort of platform/spacing under the lower foot.

The tools required for the install are: Power drill, 5/32", 3/16", and 9/32" drill bits, two 7/16" wrenches or sockets, #2 Phillips screwdriver, a hacksaw (I used an air-driven cuttoff tool), center punch, square, straight edge (2' or longer), scissors, pencil or marking pen, tape measure, metal file (sandpaper is also usable), adhesive tape, goggles, dust mask and gloves (for fiberglass ladders), and a 1-1/4" hole saw (for fiberglass ladders with rungs riveted to side rails).

Other tools listed in the instructions (for 2-section D1500 series ladder only, which I don't have) are 5/16" wrench or socket, 3/8" wrench or socket, 1/8" diameter punch, chisel, and C-clamp.

IMHO, the install is easier to do if you use air tools (i.e.: cut-off wheel, air drill, butterfly wrench). Also, the reattachment of the spacer sleeves is easier with rivets, instead of screws. I'd also suggest drilling pilot holes for the side rails as the 9/32" drill bit easily drifts off center when drilling through fiberglass; even after using a center punch.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product...
I have a set of these on my 20 ft. ladder, and I am in the process of purchasing a set for my 32 footer.........I don't want to paint another day without them. They save time, work great, and most of all I don't worry that a block of wood will slip out from under the ladder leg . This is one product that can make your job much safer and easier if you use ladders a lot.

5-0 out of 5 stars leveler
I have these on all three of my ladders, and wouldn't use a ladder without it. It makes it very easy to use the ladder on an uneven surface.

5-0 out of 5 stars A MUST FOR ALL CONTRACTORS / LADDER OWNERS
I have a pair of the PK80 Level Master Automatic Ladder Levelers on my 28 foot ladder and I am purchasing a pair for my 40 foot ladder. This product really works !! It's just too hard to hold a 40 foot ladder up with one hand and adjust with the manual type levelers with the other hand. That's why the automatic type levelers are a must !!! They are well worth the money and easy to install. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent ladder
As a remodeler every job I go to to work and pull out my ladder, all the other trades want to use it and then keep it. I have "killed" other 2' ladders and almost me by stepping off the wrong side, but not this one. You cannot go wrong here! I rate this a 5 star investment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Step Stool
Just a great ladder. You can easily stand on the top step without having to worry about losing your ballance or your feet getting tired. It fits in small places and is easy to carry. It is also the right hieght for working in houses.

5-0 out of 5 stars Versatile!
I was given two of these ladders over a year ago, and used them so much that I ordered two more! Although a bit heavy/bulky for the taste of two of my people, the rest of the crew loves them. One of our more common uses for the stool is to set them up as indoor scaffolding when performing lengthly ceiling/overhead work. Sorry I didn't discover this item years sooner!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Little Ladder
We recently purchased several of these Werner 2' Tall Fiberglass twin step stool / ladders. They are the handiest ladder we have ever owned. The height of this ladder makes it perfect for countless projects from framing, wall papering, painting, changing lights, electrical work, projects in the ceiling of your basement and the list goes on and on.

Extremely sturdy, this ladder is also a true 2 sided ladder, which even more adds to it's versatility. Make sure you keep your eye on this little ladder if you use it on a job site as they are so popular, they are likely to go home with someone else ( purely unintentional I am sure......)

Seriously, you will love this ladder and find uses for it that you never could have imagined......Plus, Amazon's price is very competative and the freight special is makes this an even better value, as if it needed any help!

5-0 out of 5 stars tough ladder
I use this ladder day in and day out installing commercial doors and hardware. For any application up to eight feet this is the ideal step ladder. The most stable I have seen or used, wide steps front and back.I weigh around 250 lbs. so the ladder gets used to within 83 % of it's rated capacity daily and the one I started with is six years old now and good as new. ... There’s a lot to like here. Super padding won’t cut into your shoulders and the X design distributes your gear’s weight evenly, taking the strain off your back. Everything about it is quality, from the fabric to the heavy-duty hardware and the tough straps. We like that left-handers can arrange the bags to suit them, and best of all, we didn’t get gored in the gut by protruding tools when bending over, thanks to side-hanging bags. Now, those side-hanging bags bumps the hammer ring to the back, and we do think the rear-hanging hammer would take some getting used to, but the side bags are worth it. We’d sure like to see Bucket Boss build a cell-phone compartment into the design, but aside from that, there’s nothing we’d change. If you’ve been clipping suspenders to a standard tool belt, stop and try this on for size. We’re sold on it.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars good but not great
I have been in the trades for over 40 years, and used many tool belts. This belt is more for Western framers than Eastern, the whole debate, worm drive vs, sidewinder saws etc. If you are not used to a rear hammer holder, you will find it hard to get used to. The bags hang on your side, and not the front. These are the things I like because it makes it easy to bend over and not get pinched in the gut, by quick squares, tapes, racks of 16 sinkers, etc. This is a great belt to see if you like the side bag system, shoulder harness, rear hammer, only $40. Good bags cost $100 to $200 for any type, so not much lost is you don't like. The reason for the 3 stars, the hammer holder broke the first week, and the x brace across the back moves during the day which pulls the bags around to the rear. I reposition everthing at lunch and start again, it's a pain.

4-0 out of 5 stars a toolbox on suspenders
I've been in the construction field for four years, and have not found a more comfortable belt yet. I'm rather thin, and in the winter I tend to wear many layers. Despite the many layers, it fits perfectly no matter what I am wearing. Unlike many other toolbelts, this one can hold all of the different types of tools that a carpenter needs. In the past, I have used the normal setup with all the individual pouches and just threw on a pair of suspenders to hold them up. After a long hard day of work, my shoulders are tired from the weight. Also, you know as well as I do, that when you try to fit into tight spaces, you could catch one of those clips, and they could wind shooting off and hitting you in the face. This does not happen with the air lift system whereever you go, the belt just follows. Overall, if you're out there all day, and are looking for a comfortable belt that doesn't strain your shoulders, the air lift system is definitely for you

2-0 out of 5 stars Stiff as a dead mackerel, tough for a builder to get used to
As a builder, dont expect to use this thing right out of the box as mine came squished flat as a pancake and i couldnt fit all my tools in it and still reach them because the pockets were closed from being flattened: this doesnt help when you are up on a 30' ladder. I guess you could fill all the pockets with something and hang it for a bit before commissioning it for work. I have had it a week, still stiff as a dead fish and wont break in- but im expecting it to anyday now. I also think the hammer in the back stinks as i am used to a traditional tool belt with the hip hammer loop and this thing has none. Would be a good belt for someone just starting out as you can get used to all its little annoyances from the get-go, as a full time carpenter forget throwing your old belt away for this one. I used this belt for an hour and put my old one back on. The material is pretty rugged and its seems to be constructed well- the shoulder straps are also really comfortable. My overall opinion is: bad belt layout and i want my hammer on the hip which you cant have with this belt.

3-0 out of 5 stars almost right
Let me first start off with that first I am a professional builder, and have at times a need to carry a full assortment of hand tools on the job where a tool bag or cart simply will not do. The option of hauling two full tool bags on my waist all day long becomes a bit uncomfortable. I saw an item like this in the store for $20.00 more that I tried on and like it. I got this one but did not like it because it had too many straps which made it hard to get on and off. I also thought that the number and placement of the straps made it easier to get snagged on things. The one that I saw in the store had a "Y" strap where this one has and "X" strap to support the tools, the "Y" strap was a little less padded which made it less bulky and the straps where little more sturdy which made them keep their shape beter and easier to get on and off quickly. I liked the one in the store better also because the tool bags hanged better and the clips that hold them where smaller in size but strong and less in the way. Even though it cost more in the store it was a better buy for me considering these small but important features to me.

2-0 out of 5 stars good idea
This tool belt is a good idea and feels great...here's the lowdown. In the field the loops on the back of the pouches for the horizontal belt are weak. They broke within two weeks. Bucket Boss makes great products and I hope that they would upgrade this unit as soon as possible. I wish that I would have bought mine here, alas I did not and am now stuck with it. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Amazon reshipped defective product to me! OUTRAGEOUS!
I got my Ultrastinger from Amazon today. It has a cracked/torn rubber nipple over the on/off switch, and from all the fingemarks and other tell-tale little marks on it, it's clearly a USED, PRE-OWNED item. Other evidence: the product box was not shrink-wrapped or sealed as it should be, and the battery was fully charged (new flashlights do not come with fully charged NiCad batteries).

I am outraged that Amazon would re-ship a returned, defective item, but that's exactly what has happened. This makes me very wary of ordering from them again. I immediately ordered that UPS come to pick this up and take it back at no charge to me. Now I have to "wait 7-12 days" AFTER they get this POS back before I get a refund. Nice.

Also, now that I've seen the way the rubber switch cover fails, I've decided not to get this product anyway. I'll have to look into another manufacturer.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST & THE BRIGHTEST!!!
//..

The Streamlight Ultra Stinger™ Rechargable flashlight ROCKS!!!

I am a gadget nut, and I have a very large number of flashlights. IMHO, there is no better all-around flashlight than Streamlight's Ultra Stinger.

It truly is amazing how bright and light-weight this flashlight is. It puts out up to 75,000 candlepower yet weighs only 1.1 pounds. Not only is it bright, but you can focus the light to a small, penetrating beam that can be seen for miles.

Don't let the light weight fool you, however. This flashlight feels rock-solid in your hand, and it can take a licking. I take mine running almost every night, and have dropped it on the pavement more than a few times, and it just keeps going.

The Ultra Stinger is also durable and reliable. I've had my current model for over two years now, and the battery is still fine. I did have to replace the light bulb once, but that's not bad considering how many hours it's been in use and how many times I've recharged it.

The only flashlight that even compares to the Ultra Stinger is the SureFire 10X Dominator™. The Dominator weighs only 1.25 lbs and has a two-lamp assembly that allows you to run it at 60 lumens (roughly 36,000 CP by my calculations, about half the output of the Ultra Stinger) for up to 3 hours, or at an incredibly bright 500 lumens for up to 20 minutes. Yes, 500 lumens (or roughly 300,000 CP) is 4X brighter than the Ultra Stinger, but the light is UNFOCUSED, so the brightness is lost over any real distance as the light diffuses. When you factor in the ridiculously high price of the Dominator (the best price I could find on the Internet was $360!), you can see why I recommend the Streamlight as the overall champion. The Dominator is a great flashlight in its own right, of course, so probably the best idea is to get both.

I have several other flashlights from Streamlight, and they are all very well-made. Nevertheless, whenever I want a nice bright flashlight, I always go for my Ultra Stinger. My only serious question about it is, how can Streamlight make the Ultra Stinger so bright and light-weight, while their other models don't even come close? The brightest flashlight in the SL- series is the SL-35, which weighs 2.8 pounds (almost 3X more than the Ultra Stinger) and puts out up to 40,000 CP (Slightly more than half that of the Ultra Stinger). Plus, it's more expensive! The MSPR on the SL-35 is $229.95 vs. $174.95 for the Ultra Stinger. That math doesn't add up.

Other unbelievable examples: Streamlight's 3.3 pound 8-Watt Vulcan™ spotlight can generate up to 50,000 CP, and the 7.4 pound 20-Watt Litebox™ spotlight can kick out up to 70,000 CP. How is it even remotely possible that the Ultra Stinger, weighing in at 1.1 pounds and sporting a 10-Watt bulb, can out-shine these oversized hogs? The obvious answer is "runtime" - the Litebox™ can run at 20 Watts for up to 3.5 hours compared to a 1 hour runtime for the Ultra Stinger. Who cares - I'll take the Ultra Stinger every time!

Streamlight should take their older lights off the market and replace them or update them with the better technology found in the Ultra Stinger, like they did with the new Stinger HP. The Stinger HP weighs 12.2 ounces and kicks out 40,000 CP. Plus, the beam can be focused, while the SL- series is "pre-focused".

I'm sure that Streamlight is on the case -- the HP models are nice, and I really like the Pro Polymer LED lights, too. I just wish that they could come out with an affordable competitor to the $1,800 Maxabeam 6 million CP spotlight.

BUY THIS FLASHLIGHT -- YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's only competitor is the sun.
I have never seen anything like this before in my life. The ratio of power to size blows my mind. I had someone shine this at me from about 50 feet away and it actually *blinded* me for about 10 seconds and I felt physically ill for about 10 minutes. If you buy this flashlight, you won't need a new one for about 50 years... because that's how long this thing was built to last.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great serviceable rechargeable light. Good quality.
Streamlight's UltraStinger is really in a niche by itself. Mag Light's rechargeables aren't as bright and SureFire's are much more expensive, so the UltraStringer is really made for someone desiring a quality light that won't break the bank.

Some of the nice features of this light: It's very lightweight, very bright (75,000 candlepower), run time is very good for this much light output. Well made, quality construction.

Some of the cons about this light: Plastic lens (seems only SureFire will give you a genuine Pyrex, glass lens these days) and the spot/flood range isn't really that much of a difference (Mag's spot/flood produces a SPOT or a FLOOD). The Streamlight has a very coarse adjustment range, really being all the same style output, with very LITTLE difference in the SPOT / FLOOD. This isn't as bad as it sounds as the light produced is a very good, pure white light, I'd just like to see more variation in the range, but I'm being picky here.

One thing's for certain; this light is much better than Mag's rechargeable and a lesser light than SureFire's 8 or 9N rechargeable. But, it's also half the price of the SureFire and 80% less than SureFire's 10-X. So, I've got to give it 5 stars for being a great value, occupying a market not really served by either Mag or SureFire.

If you're a contractor or home inspector, this light is THE value on the market in a bright, quality constructed rechargeable.

5-0 out of 5 stars Streamlight UltraStinger: I gotta wear shades
I've had a Streamlight UltraStinger for a little while now. Let me say that this is one, bright light!

+'s: BRIGHT, rechargeable, lightweight, adjustable beam from spotlight to floodlight, good quality/workmanship (not that cheap plastic stuff!), pushbutton switch (on/off/momentary on), up to 1 hour between charges, small diameter (easy for people with small hands to hold).

-'s: expensive, slightly long, charge time is long.

This flashlight is a little large to take with you when walking the dog, but it's not too bulky so you can bring it if you want.

This package from Amazon comes with both chargers (wall and car) so it's very convenient to throw it back in the charger when you are done using it. The charger is made so that you can place the flashlight into it by sliding it in from the top, or "snapping" it in from the front. A nice feature if you are limited on space when mounting the charger.

I have one in the car to read those street signs on those dark roads. Just as good as a Q-Beam spotlight, but smaller.

Would I get another one? Definitely! They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Heavy but Stable and Safe! but get it at COSTCO for $99
I always wanted a Little Giant but never could afford one. a couple of weeks ago I found this MT-17 at COSTCO for $99 (I'm not sure all Costco's have them though) and has the same features as the Little Giant. I've been up 12 feet and felt very safe and stable. This is a great ladder but a little heavy around 50Lbs.

4-0 out of 5 stars Satisfied, but not amazed
I have had this ladder for about 10 days and am using it as I paint the exterior of my house. It is very stable in A-frame mode, though the rungs can be a little uncomfortable as you extend the height. (The inner and outer rings provide a wider support for your foot when at shorter lengths.)

As an extension ladder there was more flex than I was expecting. This ladder isn't as easy to adjust as the Little Giant infomercial would suggest. It comes with much nicer castings for use in scaffolding mode than the knock-off available at home depot. Not clear to me if there are any other differences. I also have been very happy with the stability of the outside wider scaffolding (when the ladder is broken apart into two samll A-frames). ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars OK fan
I bought 2 of these and expected them to be quiet but I am dissapointed with the high speed, its loud. I put one in my kid's room to help circulate the air but the fan's high speed is loud and it scares my 3 years old son. The mid speed noise is ok but does not blow. One of the fan has a clicking sound during the oscillation, the other is not.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
I have a small room, and needed a quiet tower fan with good functionality. I bought the Envircare EFY041 not really knowing how good it will be.It fit snugly in one corner. I received it (Free shipping -2days after ordering-AMAZON ROCKS!) and I set it up in less than 10 minutes. The remote is small and functional and very handy. The 3 speed settings help, and compared to other fans ,even the fastest speed isnt loud enough to dim the music or anything. Oscillation is good, makes a VERY SLIGHT creaking noise(maybe its just mine!) , though not loud enough 2 bother anyone.
On the whole, it is a bit pricey , but compared to monster fans which are loud enough to keep the entire neighbourhood awake, I highly recommend this.
Oh, the air filtration is a nice added feature, but be sure 2 clean the filter periodically!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Tower Fan
I'm so happy with it I just purchased another one.I did try multiple other brands but nothing compares to this quiet, solid beauty.I tried much more expensive fans that were noisier and poorly constructed.Trust me - this is a great fan, and it even has an air filter. It has all the features (3 speeds, a gusting wind/sleep setting, rotation and timer). The remote has a built-in flashlight which is great in the middle of the night.Love it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This vise grips!
I just installed my Jorgensen woodworking vise. It is a very heavy vise, I mean it has heft to it. I had been using a made in China cheapie and there is quite a bit of difference in the way it adjusts and how it grips your product for work. I find the quick release quite easy to use, a simply twist and pull (or push) and big adjustments are a breeze. When you place wood and tighten, my goodness, this vise has a real, real good hold on it. I am impressed and I recommend.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great!
This is the best wood working vise that I have ever used, and I use it a LOT. It did not come with wooden jaws, but adding them was no problem as the jaw plates are predrilled. It is large enough to hold anything that a furniture-maker or hobbyist would need, and the slip screw makes working with it a breeze. I wish that I had owned this 20 years ago!

1-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware - Quality Is Poor
I was very disappointed when I opened up the box and inspected the vise. The castings were of poor quality, the front jaw was displaced about 3/16" to the left of the rear jaw when closed, and when viewed form the top the jaws were not parallel when closed (1/16" off). In addition, the quick open/close feature did not work well. When you consider the high cost (money) of this vise, it is just unacceptable. I have since returned it to Amazon.com for a refund.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't make the mistake of buying this vise.
When I first took it out of the box, I had to double-check that I was shipped the right vise. The casting of both halves was so mismatched, I thought it was a cheap knock-off. There was so much polyurethane on the wooden dowel handle that I couldn't fit the caps on without splitting them - I had to sand the finish off first.

The quick-release feature was fun the first couple of times I used it, but it quickly became a pain. A half turn back releases the outer jaw so it can be pulled out or pushed in. But it doesn't slide very easily and the half turn doesn't fully release the work. And, of course, continuing to turn out doesn't do anything because the gear mechanism has released. I eventually "fixed" it by drilling and tapping a threaded hole into the quick-release gear from the front while the gear is engaged. A screw in this hole will jam up against the inner jaw and prevent the quick-release gear from doing its job.

5-0 out of 5 stars Jorgensen vise review
I recently purchased this vise from Amazon and installed it on my woodworking bench. The machining is excellent, the fit and finish are great and the smooth jaws don't mar the wood it clamps.

I really like the quick-release feature and have found it invaluable for quickly adjusting the vise to the work at hand.

Installation was quick and easy and the vise included a template for drilling mounting holes. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Throw away your old charger!
I purchased this charger at the same time I bought my 14.4 cordless drill (Firestorm). This charger fully charges your Dewalt or Firestorm batteries in less than an hour (depending on how low they are when placed in the charger). My two batteries are still going strong after more than three years of frequent home use (the tune-up mode definitely helps).

Never use the 6 hr battery killer that comes with your cordless tools. This charger is definitely worth the money, considering I would have spent at least twice as much on new batteries.

4-0 out of 5 stars It tunes them up
Replaced my old charger with this one. Made a big difference with my older batteries that would not take much of a charge. Gave some new life to them. If you are a user of cordless tools, you know that batteries are the big maintenance expense. While my figures are not scientifically valid, my best guess is that this charger will extend the life of the batteries at least 20 percent

5-0 out of 5 stars "Tune-Up" Makes this the Better Choice
I traded up to this charger after one of my old ones quit. The "tune-up" mode really does make a difference. I tried a side by side test with my remaining old non-tune-up charger. I charged two depleted 12v batteries for 10 hours, using the "tune-up" mode on this charger. I then ran them in the same drill, and there was a noticable increase in rpm and torque with the "tuned-up" battery. The "tune-up" mode does take 8 hours, but it is only necessary every 8-10 charges. As DeWalt explains, the cells in the battery are wired in series and the "tune-up" charges the downline cells completely, where fast charging only fills the first few cells. All cordless batteries are a series of 1.5v batteries enclosed in a case. To get a full charge, all the individual batteries need to fill completely.

If you have older batteries, this charger will give them new life. It is a worthwhile upgrade even for new batteries, as it will give them better performance and perhaps, extend their life. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Doubles the value and usefulness of your portable saw!
I bought this table extension and fence for my Makita 10" portable table saw. The Makita came with a terrible fence that was almost always off-center and inaccurate. Even worse, the table was so small, you could only make cuts up to 12" wide. This table extension makes the saw able to rip full size sheet goods (the long way) and the fence makes the Makita a decently accurate saw to work with. So far I've used this combination for making speaker cabinets and homebrew arcade controls cabinets and it has exceeded my expectations. Rousseau has built a very high quality product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Portamax JR PM2600D, You Bet!
Easy to install and easy to adjust. Although not noted in the writeup, the Portamax JR PM2600D is a direct bolt up for the Makita 2703 XL table saw. This makes this saw 1) accurate and #2)enable a 24" rip. This allows the accuracy of the rousseau table, but also allows you to use the stand that comes with the Makita 2703 XL saw. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

4-0 out of 5 stars PortaMax Jr, turns portable tabel saw into contractor's saw
Adding the PortaMax Jr to your 8-1/4" or 10" Bench-top table saw gives you an accurate saw with a precise rip fence, equal to many higher priced Table Saws. Allow ripping a full 4X8 sheet of plywood lengthwise. This accesory is easy to install and Rousseau provides prompt replies to any questions that arise during installation.

Table fits Delta, Makita and most other portable contractor's saws and allows you to make precise cuts using the strong, secure fence. I have used this accessory with my Delta 8-1/4" saw for cabinet making, and general woodworking.

The table is strong and is easily adjusted to remain level with the saw table. I am very satisfied and now I have a versatile table saw tha is nearly as accurate as rigs costing more than the saw and PortaMax combined. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Mighty Wind!
...This little fan lives up to it's reputation. My husband is one of those types who has to have a fan circulating air all year long in our stuffy bedroom - (even in the winter & we live in Wisconsin!) & the Vornado 610W does the job beautifully. The lowest setting is quiet and comfortable on all but the hottest of eves, when the medium speed, coupled with our air conditioner, works just fine. The best part is that you don't have to have it blowing right on you to feel the effects -- the air in the whole room circulates very efficiently. Well worth the money & if you are short on space, this unit fits just about anywhere - floor, table, or window ledge.

5-0 out of 5 stars ACTUALLY DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO!
We have a 65 year-old home with poor circulation in the 2 upstairs bedrooms; they're always 5 degrees warmer in the summer and 5 degrees colder in the winter than the rest of the house. A heating and cooling company was going to charge almost $1,000 to put booster fans in the ductwork. Out of desperation (and I'm a cheapskate also) I bought 2 of these 610W Vornados, and placed them over the floor ducts, and Viola', it fixed the problem (3 degrees better, anyways).
My Mom has had the 500 series fan for about 10 years, but it doesn't circulate nearly as much air, and the bearings don't have a lifetime guarantee like the 610W, and, sure enough, they finally failed this past summer... So the 610W is well worth the extra $15 or $20 bucks to get better airflow and lifetime bearings.
Our rooms are 12' x 12', and this fan does a great job; I suspect that, if you have a larger room, the 750 series would do a better job than this one.
Another side benefit of the 610W is just enough background hum with the fan running (24/7 in our home)to block out the constant traffic noise from the major highway we live off of: the kids sleep much better now. This is truly a great product!

5-0 out of 5 stars Small & Powerful
I love this light weight, powerful little fan! The first time I turned it on, I had my face square in front of it and it literally took my breath away! It does a fantastic job of circulating the air and cooling the room(s). I also like the fact that it is light weight enough to easily move and small enough to fit just about anywhere. Very definitely a good buy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Keeps me cool
Its pricy yes, but it keeps me cool whenever I need to be cool. And I am not a small guy either. It will keep you cool, its quiet, and doesn't get overheated (if you touch a box fan in the back you will burn your hand...if you don't believe me...try it). I used it in college and now I am using it at home and it provided great circulation in both places. How versatile! Great fan but didn't give it a five because of the price but if you don't mind the price, a must buy!

2-0 out of 5 stars Fan - low air flow for the high cost
I am using this fan for about a month. True it is quite, tilt-able and small but it also lacks the ability to create a strong airflow for the high cost. I bought this fan when my 5yr old box fan, cost about $15, stopped running. The box fan created at least 2x the airflow for much less cost. The reviews give an impression that this fan produces a strong airflow - not in my estimation. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A great product
I own an auto repair shop. My technition put his lab scope on this battery charger and said its output is the purest form of DC power he has ever seen, evan better than a cars alternator. Best battery charger I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot of them. I just ordered another one for home.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally an up to current technology battery charger Plus!
This charger makes use of an inverter type power source which is more efficient then old transformer type chargers and much lighter too. This compact unit not only does an excellent job of charging but also includes a means to evaluate the battery condition. The digital display shows charge amperage along with a number of codes that can tell you if the battery has internal short, open cell or sulfated plates and more. If the battery shows sulfated plates this unit will run a 24 hour battery conditioning cycle to remove it.
1. You are getting with this unit a battery charger that will handle the charge time for you and shuts off when done automatically.
2. Checks for proper alternator output voltage.
3. Checks overall battery condition.
4. Will recondition sulfated batteries.
Clips and cables stow neatly in a compartment built into the charger. Both battery clip leads and 110V power lead are six feet long. 5 year warranty. I am very pleased with this unit.

5-0 out of 5 stars not what is described, but still a great product

4-0 out of 5 stars Good scaffold up to 3 feet
This is a good medium-duty portable scaffold. It comes pre-assembled, with you only needing to set the platforms in place, and tighten the locking knobs. It appears well constructed, and the platforms themselves are extremely strong. However, the scaffold suffers a bit from a slight lack of lateral stability. There are no braces in the front (it is open), and no diagonal braces in the back. This means the welds provide the lateral stability, which is adequate at all heights except for the very top. This may not be an issue for lighter people than myself (I weigh 290). The scaffold is rated to 400 lbs, so even my weight should not be an issue. The castors are large, lock easily, and roll easily. Overall, this is a good scaffold, and I would buy it again. With a little ingenuity, you could probably fashion up some type of diagonal brace for the back, which would make it very stable when the platforms are on the top rungs.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice, but there is one thing you should know
I bought this scaffold largely based on the reviews and it does fold well & have nice features. One point I would differ on with the other reviews, I would not call this scaffolding light weight! Check out the shipping weight on this before you buy.

The fact is the folding frame is light but the planks are more weight then I wanted to add to the many tools I already carry around. I decided to keep it because I'm sure I'll find occasions to use it but I also had to consider the 95lb shipping cost to return it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Handy Stand for rolling mitre boxes, & trim around
I set up my compound mitre saw on it, with trim material, and I can roll all around the job sites, without always running back to where the saw is set up !!!! Saves much time, especially on big commercial jobs or small residential jobs.

5-0 out of 5 stars I wish I had this 10 years ago
Wow what a nice device. I do not like ladders they kill my feet. This is such a wonderful tool installing molding lay it on top. hook a basket for your gun and have the helper push. bang its done. This will pay for itself first job in comfort, easy to push, folds flat! put it in van or truck it rules.

5-0 out of 5 stars Used for everything
Smalltime building contractor, I've owned one of these for years...ever since a painter/wallboard hanger turned me on to them. They are lightweight, easily stored, carried, reconfigured. I use it for many, many things: rolling scaffold for crown molding, painting, drywall hanging and taping (no stilts!), carrying tools or material into a job site, STORING tools and material on site (makes cleanup so easy and makes tools so accessible) with an added platform or stepping the platforms. This tool has gotten me many compliments from customers that I am smart and well-organized. HA! My interest is in saving my back, fewer trips, less climbing. The narrow size and swivel wheels allows easy passage through doorways and around corners. I want more of 'em ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

If you work on your knees all day, you know how critical it is to find a pair of knee pads that not only protect your knees but also feel comfortable while doing so. Bucket Boss Air-Gel knee pads do both effectively. Designed to work like a running shoe for the knee, the Air-Gel conforms to the contours of the knee to reduce pressure and help prevent injury. A special lining moves sweat away from the skin for added comfort, while the straps curve away from the back of the knee to eliminate bunching and binding. Even after a long day's work, the result is more comfortable knees. --Carl Thress ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
It is hard to avoid the conclusion that the people who designed these knee pads never wear knee pads. They are very disappointing, although it would be very simple to make them better. The problem is that the curve of the knee pad is very shallow, and the gel pack is a single pack, not molded to the shape of a knee. Consequently, the knee rolls around on the pad which is almost as hard on the knee as not wearing pads. If the gel pack were shaped so as to cup the knee snugly, they would be fine. As it is, they are little better than a simple pair of pads that I bought for $9.00 in the garden store.

5-0 out of 5 stars Gift for Dad who has almost everything
My Dad went into landscaping late in life and it's a job he loves. He also loves all the toys that go with it. Minus the knee pads he could never find a pair that stayed up or in place.
Or that the rocks didn't pierce the gel and for that part his knees. Every day he uses his knee pads theres a call on my machine how much he loves them. They're truly a wonderful product if they can withstand the torment of my dad. He uses them on cement to gravel. He even uses them to weed in to ease the pressure on his knees. There a great product. 2-0 out of 5 stars Not for me
Contrary to the other reviews I couldn't use these. I am used to well contoured foam filled knee pads that stay put. I was looking forward to the ultimate with the new gel backing. Sadly the gel is put in as simple pillows and sewn around the edges. This fills what appears to be a very well made and contoured shell with mounds of gell, which I kept rolling off of, with my knees ending up to the side on the sewn seams. I tried everything but couldn't correct this. Since I can't work without pads [all day] I went back to the old ones and sent the gel pads back. Reluctantly. It wouldn't take much to contour the gel to solve this and they would be wonderful. I noticed at least one of the other reviewers mentioned slipping off to the side also. Great idea, not well engineered

Very comfortable. Can work for hours on concrete floor and not have any pain. Highly recommended.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best I've seen yet
I normally spend one or two days a week installing Pergo flooring and have been desperately looking for knee pads that wouldn't do 3 things:

1. Make my legs sweat like crazy 2. Pull the hair out of the back of my knees 3. Fall half way down my shins every other minute

These knee pads fit the profile perfectly. After a 10 hour installation, I only had to adjust the pads twice. Both times they shifted to the side. The only knock I have: The pads are a little too hard and slide a bit on the Pergo. They could use more grip for leverage. Otherwise, they were perfect "off-the-shelf" kneepads for the price. ...
