Pleasantly Surprised and Very Pleased
I ordinarily do not take time to give reviews like this. I must say when I received my lamps yesterday evening I was quite happy and felt like writing a review right away. The first review on this page is so accurate. Sometimes I think reviews may be from someone associated with the product. This lamp is an excellent value. It's unique, it gives off a very nice glow, making my home seem so cozy. One light with a 60 watt bulb even lights up a fairly large space nicely. I highly recommend it. I had seen a display in the store, but all of the nearby Targets were sold old. I wasn't crazy about paying for shipping, but I ordered online Friday and received my lamps Tuesday morning by UPS standard shipping. They were packaged well, I had been concerend about damage. Ordering online saved time and energy, so the shipping costs were almost worth it. (I still would have preferred that it was available in the store.) Basically I highly recommend these lamps. The price, design, quality are all worth it. Especially if you're looking for something low priced that doesn't look cheap.

Wonderful soft and decorative lamp..
I bought this table lamp and the matching bamboo floor lamp from Amazon.com unsure of the quality of items I'd receive.The lamps are sold by Target which is a discount store, their price was fairly cheap through Amazon.com and bamboo can be durable, but in small "shades", it's usually fragile and brittle..

I was wrong for the most part.. I've yet to receive the floor version of this bamboo lamp, but the table lamp is great.. It's very sturdy and put together well.. The bamboo "shades" are not as durable as I could hope for, but I don't see them falling to pieces anytime in the next several years..

The projection of light from this lamp puts off a nice mellow glow to all directions of a room.. The bamboo dampens the light, regardless of the bulb size you place in the lamp.. My only qualm is having this lamp on a lower than eye level table blinds you when walking by it's open top..

The lamp is recommended for use with a 60 Watt or lesser bulb and has a polarized plug which helps in preventing accidental electrical overloads & fires..

One problem I could forsee with this lamp is cleaning the dust off of the bamboo shades as it accumulates over time.. Typical lamps can have a fresh, new look by replacing the lampshade, unfortunately with this lamp, the bamboo can not be taken out without destroying the lamp itself.. Luckily, the price is about the cost of a typical lampshade, so you could just as easily buy another bamboo table lamp..

The $20 price is very inexpensive for the decorative and glowing properties this lamp has.. I'm happy with my purchase and the price and you will be too should you decide to purchase this lamp.. ... Read more
