Works like a charm!
This little beauty puts out a ton of light at a fraction of the cost of the regular light bulbs--truly amazing how much light. It's a bit pricey, but considering the fact it lasts darned near forever, it's well worth it. Add to that the fact that it noticably drops your electric bills, and you can't beat it!

Don't Buy This
The people at Office Depot don't have a clue about how to ship glass. It came in a box with no padding beneath the item, and some paper on top of it. Needless to say, when I received it, it was smashed, and I'm still dealing with them on how to get properly credited.

The Garden Light (like the Envirolite and Compact Fluorescent) has a built-in ballast, uses little energy, and provides the full spectrum that plants require. Garden Lights' have a rated life of 10,000 hours before the intensity may diminish (compare this with most fluorescent grow tubes on the market that begin to diminish after only a couple of months!). The heat generated is far less than any H.P.S. or M.H. light source. They are available in a full spectrum 6400K (daylight) version and a 2700K red version.
