Light, portable, versatile, and powerful, DeWalt's new little vac is a great invention. We love that it's powered by a 12- to 18-volt battery, allowing for use when the power's off or you're too far from an outlet, and that you can also plug it in for continuous use. If you're a DeWalt fan, it's likely you already have the 12- to 18-volt batteries and the charger, so the fact that this is sold without those won't affect you. But that's a change we'd like to see DeWalt make. Other than that, it couldn't be better. The five-foot hose is flexible, and the cleaning tools fit on board. The suction's impressive, whether on AC or DC power. Unlike other wet-dry vacs, you don't have to change out the filter innards when switching from wet to dry, and we just love that. Just rinse it off to clean it. Its high-efficiency filter is listed at trapping 99.7 percent of dust, and in our book, less dust in the air is a good thing. When you're wet-vacuuming, just empty the tank through the drain port. It's light as a feather, super-portable, and plenty powerful.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Vac
I found this vac very effective. You can plug it in or run it off batteries. The BATTERY AND CHARGER ARE NOT INCLUDED. If you have other DeWalt power tools no problem, if not you can buy their drill for $199 with 2 batteries and a charger, then they give you a cordless screwdriver worth $100 so you get the drill an screwdriver for free and then some. I believe this free screwdriver offer expires around Christmas 2003. I found the unit light in weight and easy to move around. The only thing might have been a longer hose.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good first try
I like this vacuum. It does what it says it does, and does it well. But. Like all my experience with Dewalt products, they are innovative and well built, but only 90% there as cutting a few corners makes it not as good as it could easily have been. The hose is great - flexible, extendable and light. But the two nozzles don't fit on it very well, and with a bit of pressure applied sideways (easy to do when cleaning up dust) they fall off. Annoying. Just poor quality control I guess. The motor is fine on battery (I use 14.4V) but on mains (when its sucks a bit harder) it screams - ear hurtingly loud when the nozzle sucks something across the tube and no air can get in. And why no built-in charger or extension tube? So four stars because it works well, its innovative - a good idea (well done Dewalt) and there's nothing else like it. But when there is, Dewalt better make some improvements or they'll lose the market.

4-0 out of 5 stars DeWalt DC500 Cordless/Corded Vac
I bought the DC500 vacuum a few months ago to keep in my truck. Before that, I always had a little 120v 2-gallon wet/dry shop-vac in my truck for small cleanup jobs on service calls. I was keen on the idea of having a decent small cordless wet/dry vac that can run off my Dewalt 18v batteries. Mainly because it seems that when working on smaller jobs, I always end up making little messes that are scattered all around a finished building wherever I have been drilling or cutting, sometimes in remote areas where there is no electrical outlet to be had. This little vac makes it much easier to clean up as I go instead of leaving it until the work is finished and then going back with a dustpan and brush or extension cord and my old 2-gallon shop-vac.
The suction is quite good and the DC500 also has a blower function for getting fine dust out of tight spots and crevices. It uses a single pleated filter for both wet and dry use. Dewalt says the 1-1/4-inch hose is five-feet in length, but the hose actually stretches to almost seven-feet.
I used it to clear a clogged laundry sink and it does pick up water quickly, but of course, since it is only a 2-gallon tank, it fills up fast. A fresh, fully charged 18V XR-Plus battery will last for around ten to fifteen minutes of continuous use. Since I usually only use it for a couple of minutes at a time, I get can get by for quite a while with just one battery but, if needed for extended use I can always go the traditional route an plug it into a 120v outlet with an extension cord. The DC500 doesn't come with a brush attachment, which I use often, so I bought a Shop-Vac 1-1/4 inch right angle brush for about four dollars and just leave it on the hose. That way I can carry all three attachments with the vac for any type of cleanup that comes along.
This little vac gets banged around pretty good in the back of my truck and other than the attachments sometimes falling out of their holders, it seems to be very rugged and takes the rough handling in stride. Overall, I have been quite pleased with this little vac and would recommend the DC500 as an accessory to anyone who already owns other Dewalt cordless tools and battery packs.

3-0 out of 5 stars No Battery or Charger
Yes, it's a handy, quality built little unit. Yes it is fairly inexpensive. But....

Yes, it is misleading that they don't give you a battery or charger with a cordless vacuum. Not only that, they don't tell you that it isn't supplied.

Got what I paid for ? Maybe, but I feel misled and maybe even tricked.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Vacuum for small projects
I've owned this for about 2 months now and actually have used it a lot more than I thought that I would. For its size, it has good vacuum power. In fact the power is the same whether you are on the cord or the battery. Some have complained that you only get :10 minutes of use. Well, that's a lot of use. You are not supposed to vacuum the house. Typically I have it on for about 30 seconds to a minute. I think that I am getting more than 10 minutes of use by the way. It's great for cleaning up small messes and I think that it has amazing suck power.

Things that I would like to see improved:

1. Add a battery charger
2. The cord should be about 3 feet longer
3. The price is a little steep, but no one else is making this thing and they have to pay for all those NASCAR's.

All in all it's a great little tool especially if you are a handy man and want to leave your clients house clean. ... Read more

When you need a cutter and there's no electric power around, this 18-volt cordless cut-off tool is your best bet. At 6,500 rpm, you'll get high power for all kinds of cutting and grinding applications. Trim rebar, steel pipes and iron rails with ease. Wheel-changing is easy, thanks to the spindle lock, and the three-position side handle offers great control. We like the easy grip, the comfortable trigger switch and the lock-off feature. The neatly designed grinding guard lets you sand and polish, too. 4-0 out of 5 stars Typical Milwaukee Quality
The hard part of caulking with a manual gun is maintaining an even pressure on the trigger. That's the main advantage of this gun. With it taking care of the pressure on the cartridge, all you have to do is move the gun in a steady motion to achieve a nice, smooth, even bead of caulk. Plus, your trigger hand wont get tired.

A plus is an immediate pressure relief once the trigger is released, so you don't get a drip from the end of the tube. You can hear the clutch click just before caulk is expelled, so you know when to start moving the gun.

It's reasonably compact, although it might be a bit tight if you were trying to caulk a toilet base, for example. Just break out the manual gun for that.

It has a variable speed dial on the back, to control the flow rate depending on what you are doing (slow for caulking, fast for adhesives).

It will squeeze every last bit out of a cartridge.

It comes with a trigger lock; witch comes in handy if you have curious/doofus neighbors/brother-in-laws around that want to see how it works, when you aren't looking.

Milwaukee claims you can expel 10 cartridges on a single charge. That may be a bit optimistic, and will depend on the bead size cut into the tube, the viscosity of the material, and even the temperature. However, if you are doing 10 tubes a day or more, just get some extra batteries. It uses the same 2.4 V battery as in Milwaukee's cordless screwdrivers.

Although it isn't listed, it comes with one battery and a 1-hour charger.

I bought mine because I purchased a house where all the windows needed to be caulked, not because I will use it to make a living. I reserved one star because it's a just a little bit pricey (more expensive than the more substantial SawZall, for instance), but you never regret buying a nice tool in the end. It's not out of the question for the typical homeowner who happens to be a bit of a tool freak.

If you are a contractor, you might want to look at the new 12V guns Milwaukee just came out with, but they will certainly be a lot heavier.

It doesn't make caulking fun, but almost.

4-0 out of 5 stars Review Of Milwaukee MOdel 6550-20 Caulking Gun
This is a convenient tool to have available when working with 10 oz. cartridges of RTV sealant, molding adhesives, etc. Power comes from a 2.4 volt rechargeable battery. I've discovered that a single charge of the battery is sufficient to use continuosly on 2-3 cartridges but if you stop using the gun for 1-2 hours, say a lunch break, the battery will need to be recharged. It apparently loses it's charging capacity if idle for more than 1-1.5 hours. I therefore, strongly recommend buying a second battery for large jobs. The instruction manual lists a 10 cartridge capacity on a single battery charge but that appears to be overly optimistic. Model 6550-20 is heavier than the common hand operated caulking gun, but the disadvantage of the added weight is overcome by the ease of the trigger mechanism wich easily expels sealant. The caulking gun expels sealant as long as finger pressure is applied to the trigger. The moment you remove pressure on the trigger, the plunger mechanism stops pushing against the cartridge and no additional sealant is expelled. Unlike hand operated caulking guns, I've experience absolutely no excess sealant pouring out once the trigger has been released. There is also a trigger locking feature which allows for continuous operation of expelling sealant. I've found that a two click racheting sound is emitted from the plunger just prior to the sealant being expelled. This sound is caused by the plunger making initial contact with the back end of the cartridge. This racheting sound is convenient since it signals the moment just before the sealant is about to be expelled. There is an adjustable knob on the gun body which adjusts the plunger speed and thus sealant flow. I've found however, that the amount of sealant used is dependent more on how fast one can move the gun along a bathroom tub/tile line than the speed of the adjustment knob. The gun comes with a handle strap, which easily slips over your hand to avoid accidentally dropping the gun. This handle strap is extrememly helpful when using the gun in such awkward places as high up on a ladder. Asided from the limitations of the 2.4 volt battery, my only other complaint regarding this gun is its somewhat large size which is difficult to maneuver in such tight spots as the space around the toilet bowl and nearby walls. Although the price for the gun is prohibitive when compared to a hand operated caulking gun, the investment is well worth the expenditure if you have several bathrooms to caulk. Unlike hand operated caulking guns which require a constant hand applied force to expell the sealant, the model 6550 requires only finger pressure on the trigger and when the trigger lock mechanism is engaged even that is not required. This is a feature your hands will certainly appreciate after using two or more cartridges of sealant. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a timesaver!
I've been a proud owner of a Wagner Power Roller in excess of 9 years. I agree that it may take awhile to clean all of the individual parts, but the time saved painting is well worth it, (would you rather spend 4 hours painting and 20 minutes cleaning or 2 hours painting and 40 minutes cleaning)? Personally, I HATE PAINTING! The Wagner Power Roller feeds a continuos stream of paint to the roller from the inside. When I used to paint with a regular roller I used to get splatterd, (especially my glasses), and the drips off of the end of the roller would end up all over the place. Now, I don't even put floor coverings down and my glasses stay clean. If you leave the power unit on continuosly, on slow speed, you will use more paint but you do get better coverage. I "cycle" the power on and off to get a continuous smooth coat. I don't think I've ever had to put down two coats. Comparing this system to the "normal" roller method where you're constatntly "rolling out the paint" to get it even. The Wagner Power Roller puts down an even and smooth covering every time without having to have "messy" paint pans and wondering if you have too much or too little paint on the roller when you apply it to the wall or ceiling. It doesn't get much better than this!

3-0 out of 5 stars Works fine, but I don't like it
I'm painting the whole inside of my house (ex trim), and I want the work to go as well and painlessly as possible. I did a lot of research before deciding to purchase the Wagner Power Roller. After having used it on one room, I have abandoned using it in favor of the old-fashioned, conventional non power roller method.

WHAT I LIKE: clear instructions; delivers a smooth, even supply of paint; effective splatter guard.

WHAT I DISLIKE: lots and lots of parts that require lots and lots of cleaning; despite being cordless and having a nice shoulder strap, it's heavy and cumbersome; makes a lot of noise when in operation; seems to use an inordinate amount of paint.

My feeling is that there's little time savings by using this power roller, especially when you figure in the clean-up time. I will probably end up selling mine.

TIPS: Professional house painters warned me only to use high-quality paint, paint that will flow evenly and not gunk up the works. In the same vein, all parts must be thoroughly, obsessively cleaned after each use.

2-0 out of 5 stars Wagner Power Roller
I would not recommend this product. I bought the corded model (Roll Fast Power Roller). Out of the box it applied the paint evenly and much faster than I could have using a manual roller and 5-gallon bucket. The biggest drawback was in painting the ceilings as the wand was heavier than a manual roller and I had to apply more pressure on the roller to distribute the paint. Another drawback to the product is the roller system itself. The rubber gasket on the roller arm, which seals the roller, rubs against the roller creating resistance which must be overcome during painting. Another drawback is the clean-up which took me over 45 minutes (despite a 5 minute claim on the box). Finally after 3 hours of painting I had to quit using the tool when dried paint prevented the roller cog from turning. The pluses for the tool are (1) it is definately much cleaner to use and (2) it does apply paint evenly. But I am going back to my five gallon bucket, screen and manual roller.

2-0 out of 5 stars The clean-up isn't fun
Having painted the interior of the house with rollers, I was aware of paint usage and time. A close friend who heard me gripe was kind enough to give me one of these as a home improvement gift. He had not used one but saw it at a home improvement store and thought of me since I mentioned I was going to paint again. The unit is easy to operate and having not paid for it, it was great.

Depending on how you feed paint, the coverage to me wasn't even. (I was using Behr premium and it is a wonderful paint in regular roller applications.) The handle isn't comfortable and the waggling paint tube made it a bother. As for time savings, it did apply paint to the wall quickly and having to roll paint on a conventional roller wasn't missed.

What typically used a gallon, I used about 3/4 of a gallon. However since the roller will not pull all the paint out of the jug it was hard to tell. It also does not have the clearance to paint as far to the edge as a regular roller. Until I go back with a brush to do the trimming/edge painting I won't know. I suspect it will equal out.

The clean-up plain sucked. The pump unit has enough small parts with sharp angles to trap paint and cleaning into those corners was a bother. (You'll want a toothpick and toothbrush.) I watched as any time savings in painting were going to cleaning, I gave up after 45 minutes passed. I got it reasonably clean but I can still find paint in the crevices.

In the end, I discovered that these things sell for about $80. I doubt I'll use it again but it did do the job so it was okay. If I were considering purchasing one, no-way. That same $$ buys a couple gallons of paint and associated supplies; that is the better investment I think. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Cordless convenience is what you'll find with the three-in-one Black & Decker MT1203K-2 12-volt multitool kit. Powered by a rechargeable 12-volt battery pack, the multitool offers three tools--a drill/driver, jig saw, and sander/polisher--in one powerful unit. To change applications, simply switch out one attachment for the next. It's that easy. With the multitool, you don't have to compromise performance for convenience--the tool delivers both, no matter which attachment you use. The drill/driver, for example, offers variable speeds of 0 to 700 rpm, a keyless chuck, an electric brake, and 24 preset torque positions. The jig saw operates at 0 to 3,000 spm and features, among other things, tool-free blade changing, a blade support roller, and a 45-degree bevel for just the right cut. The sander/polisher spins at 0 to 8,000 opm and is compatible with all the attachments and accessories that go with Black & Decker's popular Mouse sander. The whole thing comes housed in an impact-resistant, molded-plastic storage case that can go anywhere with you. --Carl Thress ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Black&Decker Home use 12-volt Multi Tool
Was not used to the slow rate of charge nor how quick the battery depletes when used with the drill. (this is good for battery life though)

Sander is nice to have, saw is o.k.

Overall it is a nice home use unit that gives you some nice choices when it comes to tools. Am happy with the out put of the unit for home use.

Looking for it in 14 volt.........

4-0 out of 5 stars Four years of good light to medium duty jobs
I've owned the Multi-tool for four years, and recently had to replace one of the original batteries. A single battery will last most of the day drilling dry wall srews or wood screws. The Saw will cut 1/2 inche ply-wood and the batteries lasted about an hour each doing so. Recently we've added a room to the back of the house 19'X10' and again the driver did a fine job. Now we are gutting out a closet a bathroom and laundry area and combing them into one large bathroom and again one fully charged battery will last most of the day driving screws. I can't say much about the sander, but the noise level is not an issue. The B&D 12volt Multi-Tool is no louder than any other 12 or 14.4 cordless drill.

1-0 out of 5 stars Show But No Go
This multi-tool set is really pretty, but it is all show and no go. The tools are so heavy and clunky that they are difficult to use. The jig saw has an extra button on the power head that makes it very difficult to use. You actually have to push a button with both hands to get it to work. All of the tools are very noisy and require ear protection to use. The batteries have a very short life and a very long charging time. If you accidentally leave them on the charger it will distroy them. I bought this set for my son for Christmas, but the little elves that built it were obviously not tool makers. I'm sending the whole mess back. No more Black and Decker for me!

1-0 out of 5 stars Great idea but awkward to use
I received the Multi-tool B&D kit and I was encouraged by the concept when I opened this xmas gift. A sander, drill and saw all in one! But when I started to use the Multi-tool I realized this tool is not well engineered. Changing from one tool to the next is clumsy. The tool is way underpowered. In the saw mode, the Multitool bogged down when cutting thin wood! Also this tool is much too loud suggesting poor gear design. I did find the sander handy for corner sanding. Also the drill is good for low torque screwdriving. The final issue I had is how hot this tool gets even in light duty jobs.

My wife will be returning this tool. I prefer dedicated tools that deliver in one application.

4-0 out of 5 stars great starter set
On the whole I have been pleased with the kit. I am not someone who needs to use this tool every weekend, but I have found it to be reliable and convenient. The battery packs are pretty good though I wouldn't start on a project without having both batteries fully charged. The saw and drill are great, but I found the sander to be the least usable of the three. It has been difficult to gauge the sensitivity of the trigger and therefore the speed of the sander, and also found that it drains the batteries quickly. Since sanding is not a 30 second job I would probably use an electric cord sander for larger projects.

Overall great tool for work around the house. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars irreplaceble tool
this gun has been a constant part of my tool inventory for over 8 years now. the dewalt dw979-k is a hard tool to beat in the metal stud framer's/drywaller's world. the combination of the speed, weight and versatility of this screwgun is unrivaled on any commercial jobsite in my opinion. i demand more than i should from this gun, but it has never let me down. dropped from the top of a 22' parapit wall, my dw979-k is still running strong. i am on the third set of batteries for my dw979-k and the trigger is finally developing a short in it, this thing just wont die. a very durable, reliable companion, i just wont do without one.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW. YOU NEED THIS SCREWDRIVER KIT!
WOW. Using this screwdriver kit was easily the most intense and enlightening experience I've had since going to Waterworld in Denver.(...)

No problems, no banal subplots or overwrought dialogue, just one(...) good screwdriver gun. While using it, you will feel in control, as if you've suddenly taken a stand in your life and are not going to take any more...

The special features are great. I've never had such great bonus material on a drill. (...)Don't ask. Even if you have no money, trust me, you need this screwdriver gun. You need it now. Stop reading and go buy it. Oh yeah, and there is a little surprise in the packaging that is an absolute joy to discover when you buy it! Especially if you are a peanut fan!

4-0 out of 5 stars Love it so far
I have reasantly bought this screw gun.It took a little while to adjust to the slower RPM's compared to my corded screw gun but now that I am used to it I love it.The only reason I would not give it five stars is because I do not know about its durability. It has done away with the need for one cord and that is a big plus as anyone in the construction business knows.

4-0 out of 5 stars Love it so far
I have recently purchased this Dewalt Cordless Screw Gun.I run a drywall company and my tools get used and I mean really used.I have had this Cordless Screw Gun for a month and a half now and I really love it.It has elliminated a cord clutting up the job site and rotating the batteries I can use it continuously throughout the day.It took a while to get used to the slower RPM's compared to the corded screw gun that I am used to.The only reason that I would not give this tool five stars is because I do not know about its durability.Hopefully it will stand up to repeated use.I will update my review in six months. But as of right now I would say that this tool is well worth your money. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Tin Knockers' delight.
The tool to have when cutting in that " 60X20 inch starting collar" into 20 gage existing duct! Shear blades remain sharp with careful use after two years. Slightly underpowered at 14 volts. Battery and radius cut potential diminish as you would expect, with heavier gages. Will shear 18 ga., as advertised. At $300 plus, a luxury unless your a frequent user. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for FLOOR!!
I love this for our floor. This vacuum works great for me to pick up all the stuff from the floor before I mop or just every few days for maintenance work. It's light-weight and easy to use. The only time I have to bend down is to get under the couch. I would NOT recommend this on carpet, but it's great on tiles and wood floor which is what we have. I've been able to avoid lots of major mopping before company arrives by just using this vacuum.

2-0 out of 5 stars OK OK, well the kidds like it!
I got this as a promo for buying a few "bazillion" dollars worth of Makita tools. The wife thinks is a poor excuse for a gift, ouch! The kids think its fun to play with. I use it as my emergency extra 9.6 battery stash. Somebody told me it was a vacuum, call it a toy and give it to the kids. You'll get more for your money if you do that, then trying to vacuum with it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Pathetic for the cost
You would think that, given the cost and the fact that the batteries/charger cost AS MUCH as the vacuum - you'd be getting some commercial level quality.
This is NOT the case. Anything over the dust-bunny level isn't going to get picked up by this. Save your $$ and just get a Black and Decker. Or 4 for that matter.

2-0 out of 5 stars Way Overpriced
I'm sorry, but I am disappointed with my purchase. I love the concept of a cordless vacuum with the extention, but even the 9.6v is too weak. It's not effective for much more than dust balls. Any debris with any weight to it will fall right back out when you turn it off. Definitely room for improvement.

5-0 out of 5 stars All the cost?
G-Day Mate The Makita cordless cleaner is a very good cleaner, but in the review the cost of the battery and charger is not included. Some info about the charger would be good. I live in Australia, so what sort of price would I pay landed here.? I would like to send one to my mother-in- law, who has a bad back. Cleaning up with this unit is much better on my back so I'll know she will love it. God Bless Makita Cordless.

PS I have the 7.2V not the 9.6V

Thanks Mate. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

The Double Action DustBuster cordless vac offers all the extras of previous DustBusters, but with more oomph per feature. The exclusive Double Action DustBuster filter now lasts three times longer, the 13.6-ounce bowl holds 70 percent more dirt and debris, and the unit comes with a crevice tool for reaching into narrow spaces and an upholstery brush for gathering dirt and hair. The extra tools are stored conveniently onboard, making it a whole lot more difficult to lose them in the closet. Like DustBusters of the past, this one charges in a wall-mounted base for grab-and-go convenience. Your dirt won't stand a fighting chance. --Rivers Janssen ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Another piece of Dustbuster junk.
Don't waste your money on this or any other "dustbuster" vaccum. This is the 3rd one I've owned, lukily it was a gift, so I didn't waste my money on it. The problem is that Black & Decker still uses NiCad batteries, which develop a memory if you don't completely discharge before you recharge (and when do you ever do that with a dustbuster?) The result is a vaccum that works OK for about 6 months, but then works for about 1-2 minutes before the battery goes dead. For a few pennies more they could use a NiMH battery pack, and maybe this thing would work. Until then, I reccoment a corded Dirt Devil Scorpion. Having to pull an extension cord is well work having a vaccum that actually works.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst thing ever made!!!
I got this as a present because I wanted a dust buster so I could vaccum my truck out. This thing never ever stays charged!! It also cant even suck up anything. A waste of money!!! I now own a shop Vac!!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars DISPOSABLE Duster
Black&Decker should mention in LARGE print that although this vacuum is rechargeable, the rechargeable battey eventually loses its charge and is not replaceable -- mine lasted less than a year (I used it 10 minutes a week on average). Unfortunately, I recycled the battery pack before I learned I needed it to get a replacement unit under the warranty. Also, B&D website was dense and hard to navigate. I had to contact their phone support (which only operates M-F) to find out I had worthless piece of garbage. I would recommend another model or, for me, another brand.

1-0 out of 5 stars Same as labmommy
I agree with labmommy--great product but short life! After only a few months of having it (and cleaning it diligently) the motor stopped running. I tried everything--charging it, looking at the motor, and it's dead. I might as well just go to Sam's or Wal-Mart where I can at least return it without much hassle. Good thing this was only $30.

4-0 out of 5 stars Powerful and Does the Job
This is a great little gadget that every household could use. I dont even own a dust pan anymore because after I sweep I just suck up all the dust with this. It's not bad to clean either..just take it apart, shake out dirt in trash, run parts uder hot water (the parts that can get wet) and dry. Not hard to reassemble. The only thing keeping me from rating it at 5 stars is I get annoyed reconnecting it to the charging base. I never seem to get it on the first try..has to be lined up just right. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Deceptive ad!
I just received this, and it comes w/out a battery. No mention of this in the specs, and the battery is an extra $40-60! Also, it is very light duty for such a tool. The instructions show an example of sharpening a knife..... the existence of a tool like this implies that it would be capable of cutting through a steel rod...!?

Ripoff!

4-0 out of 5 stars Why I did not feel comfortable purchasing this item on amaz
I didn't notice that two important facts were posted. The voltage of battery required. and the batteries. It had a cute little botton on the page for you to purchase it immediatley. but think a minute, if sombody is into "quick"? wouldn't the the choice of purchasing associated (and correct voltage) accessories right on the same page be a smooth move? Hey maybe I stupid, and just didn't notice the button for complete and fufilling transaction. dave ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Power, speed and accuracy
So, your tired of putting in screws one at a time and having to have someone to help hold drywall. Your prayers have been answered. This thing rocks! No cords. Incredible speed. 30 round clips. What more could you ask for. The batteries charge fast and you get 2 of them. I may be heavy for some but if you are man enough to handle it, the power is worth the weight. If you wish something lighter go with the 14 volt. It still has decent power but the 18 volt can power through decking as well as drywall. Happy hanging. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars How sweet it is
I am sorry I didn't buy this tool sooner. It does a beautiful job. I have the big Dewalt power plane with a 7+ Amp motor. It has a lot of power for hogging out material but the chute doesn't keep up. It clogs pretty easily . Then there's the cord. Have you ever been in the middle of a crucial cut and the stinking cord hangs up on you creating a nice divot or burn mark on your piece. That problem is a thing of the past now. I hesitated to buy this little planer , thinking it wouldn't have enough power to be useful. Boy was I wrong. It totally surprized me how nicely it glides through the material . It is so light and easy to control .You never have to check the cord or grit your teeth and hope it's long enough. It won't clog up like the big Dewalt does. The fence is well made and makes accurate cuts easier. The reversible carbide blades are great. There is a chamfer groove built into the front shoe like on others'.It Does anything any other power plane will do. It's just better because it's cordless. The battery lasts quite a long time. If mine walked off the job tomorrow , I would be ordering a new one the same day. ... Read more
