Very good filter, produces nice, clean drinking water
Bought this filter at my local BJs warehouse store three weeks ago and installed it that same day. My wife and I have been big consumers of Poland Spring bottled water and decided to try this product to cut down on costs and to cut down on usage of plastic, throw-away bottles.

I wasn't too sure I would like the water produced by this filter, but after three weeks of repeated use, I can vouch for the taste and the smell: both good. There is no characteristic "tap water" smell and you can't tell the difference from Poland Spring. Plus, it's very easy to install (comes with a variety of washers in case it does not fit straight off on your faucet).

It comes with two filters (good for about four or five months of use by an average family). You can get replacement filters easily at different stores (like BJs, Walmart, etc.).

Even if you currently drink water straight from the faucet, this product would be worthwhile for you to buy, for who wants to drink the lead and the chlorine that are present in most drinking water that is piped into homes in America? And if, like us, you are or were bottled water consumers, you will see no difference in taste AND see the savings mount up!

Ok the faucet mout filter is great i loveit i had the old on tap and did not like it cause it stuck out this one hide underneath and behind which is great until you havereplace the filter and the only place i have found that has them is amazon and you have to pay shipping which really sucks

Really Nice Water Filter
We have had ours for awhile now and it seems to work pretty good.The biggest selling points were the size of it (it is out of the way when installed) and the design.The lever is strong and smooth and is easy to operate.

The Pur water filters seems to have a hard knob to turn and have a bad design which is in the way and tends to loosen.Also, the indicators on them never seem to 'line up' all be the same.They start off black then go to white then go to red as the filter is used and approaches its 100 gallon limit lifespan.I have tried several Pur water filters and I don't think any of the red indicators were ever in the same place.

This Brita is still on nice and tight.No leaks.No complaints.The stream and spray settings are nice to have in addition to the filtered drinking water.The filter itself is quite a bit easier to change than the Pur.

just received it
I received this shower head today and immediately installed it. Removing the flow regulator wasn't as easy for me as the other reviews made it sound, but wasn't too difficult with a little patience. I had to unsrew the bulb from the bracket to get it out, but that was simple enough (but not as simple as the instructions said). The instructions for installation were a little simplistic, but if you've installed other shower heads, you'll have no problem. I turned it on and there is amazing water prressure with all of the settings and I can't wait for my shower tonight. I bought one with a hose so I can wash my dog and the hose seems plenty long enough to me. Also, because the holder holds the handwand at the base, it makes my shower about 6 inches higher which my 6'3" bf will love.

I just installed this last week as a gift to my husband. It may seem a strange gift, but he loves a long shower and also occasionally needs to use a shower chair due to an intermittant disability (multiple sclerosis).I followed the advice of the other reviewers and removed the piece that reduces water flow.Great advice!The enclosed instructions are pretty clear, and the whole installation was finished in less than half an hour.Six settings are plenty and the hose is long enough for use with a chair. Useful for washing long hair too.

Very satisfied!
I have no complaints about this item at all.It is easy to install and works as advertised.Although it is composed largely of plastic, it seems quite durable and is well designed.I also like having the option of removing the water-saver plug, the process of which is described in the instruction booklet.

One thing to consider is that if you're like me and you have very hard water in your home eventually some of the little nozzle openings in the shower head will get clogged with minerals and other grunge.This has the effect of either redirecting the stream of water coming out of that opening off to one side or completely stopping it up.We've had our shower head for a couple of months and a already a few of the little openings are clogged in this manner.Not much you can do about this, short of ponying up some big bucks and installing a water softener in your home!

One of the best
After reading many of the reviews (which were so helpful - thanks!), I decided to get this showerhead. And it was the right decision! I wanted to surprise my husband with a new showerhead since we'd both been complaining so much about our old one. I quickly removed the water-saver piece, and I do mean quickly. After taking off the old showerhead, I put this one on and, once again, it was fast and easy. Although my husband did have to tighten it up for me, we're both so happy with the size, the massage settings, and the force of the water. My one and only complaint is that because of the design, we can no longer use our shower organizer, which is the big plastic kind that you hang over the showerhead. But, I'm completely willing to give that up for this wonderful find and plan to order another for our main bathroom!

I put this in the guest bathroom and I'm getting compliments abound.You should be pleased with your purchase if you choose to go with one of these, quite fairly priced at $30 as well.No need to spend $50 IMO.

Don't forget the Ice Cubes
I miss my whole house water filter now that I'm renting. But the PUR works very well. It was a little bit of a challenge getting the filter onto the faucet -- especially if you have big fingers. Careful not to strip the threads or you'll be buying a new faucet. Tighten as much as you can with your fingers and use plyers for the rest. The water tastes great, and now that I have to make ice with trays again, even the ice pops out easier than using regular water. My imagination? I still would like to send the water out someday to get it tested to see if this thing works like the water tastes -- says the "prove it to me" side.

Important Information
I had a Pur Plus water filtration system, but it developed a leak. The Pur company, with absolutely no hassles, sent me a new Ultimate faucet mount water filtration system. I found out that the Plus filter and the Ultimate filter are exactly the same shape and size. So if you are looking for a replacement filter for your Pur Plus you can use an Ultimate filter!

Works great, much faster than reverse osmosis system
I've been using the Brita faucet mount for 2 years now. Our water is VERY hard, with sulfur smells and rust, and the Brita works as well as our reverse osmosis unit, which has three in-line filters. Plus, it doesn't slow down like the reverse osmosis unit does when using lots of water (family gatherings, etc). It is NOT as fast as normal tap water, so don't go thinking you'll get tap-water speed out of such an intense filter. I have to replace the filter approximately every 2-3 months, depending on usage. Very handy when the r/o unit starts running out of water. I tend to use both the r/o and the Brita when filling a pot for boiling, etc just to make it go faster. I've used both the PUR and Brita, Brita works better on our water, although, for best taste, I also run it through a pitcher filter (as I said, our water is BAD). Tastes better than spring water! ...
