DeWalt DW567KK not living up to expectations
I purchased this tool last March using it ocassionally. On one ocassion I chipped mortar off some cinder block so I could frame a door opening. Then I used it to drill 5/16" x 2" deep holes in brick to install shutters. The other day I used it to hammer-drill 15, 1/2" holes in concrete to assist with cutting out a slot in 8" concrete to allow underground power to go up a wall to the main panel on a new house. I used it for about 45 minutes, with a few breaks for me to rest. Then I pulled out the chisel for this tool and used the hammer selection along with a sledge hammer to bust out the concrete. It did great until I started smelling something burning. The black oil started showing up in the chuck on the drill bits. Now it is off to DeWalt for repair. Should last longer than this. Dissappointing.

Great for home handymen
I have a hammer drill that I have used for several years with disappointing results. After researching several rotary hammers, I selected the DeWalt based on rated power, bit capacity, D style handle, overall length and cost (I must admit I also like the bright yellow color). I used the chisel mode to remove tile from two bathroom shower/tubs and stubborn thinset from floor tile. The tool worked great. I can now also sink holes into aged concrete with ease. I like it; it is a good tool for jobs involving aged concrete.

Worst tool I ever owned
I am a retired bricklayer. I do many odd jobs now to keep me busy. I bought this toolbecause I thought it would be a help in my line of work. It performed miserably. I used it to mix some grout for a tile floor. On the second pail of grout, the drill burned out. Don't buy this item. You will be totally disappointed. Go with the bosch SDS hammer. It is a much better item.

Great For what I need
Being a serious home improver and a former carpenter, this is a great tool for my periodic use. Boring up to 1" holes in concrete for anchors, wire access etc is made easy with this tool. Not too useful for hammering, unless you're working on cinderblock or other softer masonry, but fine for cleaning up rough concrete surfaces. Good selection of SDS bits... and reasonably priced. If you're a home owner with periodic small scale concrete/block work, this'll do fine. For heavier work, I'd go with something a bit bigger

I bought this tool and put it to the test,and it failed miserably.Fortunately our # 1 supply Yard (Ganahl Lumber) was kind enough to take this thing back(broken! ).It was used by one of my crews for exactly six man hours before heading south!This tool is for lightweights only.If you plan on chipping stucco,tile, or plaster or plan to drill hold downs or anything more than your basic pinner hole this is the wrong tool.Need to hammer any concrete, plan on all day if it doesn't break first.Our company owns models made by AEG, Bosch,and Milwaukee that far outperform this tool @ the same price or less.My new Milwaukee 18v cordless drill on hammer setting will out drill this thing and it doesn't have 110v ac pushing it. For relatively the same price you will be much happier with a Bosch Bulldog comparable model. Milwaukee 5121-21 Rotary Hammer
This Rotary Hammer packs a lot of punch for the money. The 11 amp motor runs smoothly and makes easy work of drilling 1-1/8" holes in concrete. Insert a flat chisel and break through block, brick and concrete with ease. The detachable cord is a nice feature; if it gets damaged you can get a new one and plug it in, instead of having to open up the machine. The tools vibration dampening system works very well and reduces operator fatigue dramatically. After 100 hours of use a service light will come on, and you will have about 8 hours of use left before the tool shuts down, and the tool will need to be serviced by a Milwaukee service center.
