Amazon.com Review

Built for the do-it-yourselfer, Dremel's cordless MultiPro kit delivers the versatility you expect from a Dremel--with the added advantage of being cordless. Lightweight at only 9 ounces, this compact unit maneuvers comfortably in tight spaces. What will you use it for? Remove old grout in your bathtub, polish your flatware, remove a broken tile, etch glass, hang miniblinds, cut out a pet door, install a new car stereo, sand off a spot of hard-to-reach rust, clean your boat's outboard engine parts, refinish ornate woodwork, install a mortise lock, and much, much more. The kit comes with 50 bits, including a high-speed cutter, a bristle brush, a cutoff wheel, sanding discs, a felt polishing wheel, a grinding wheel, and more--all the tools you need to tackle projects around the home. The tool's ball-bearing shaft affords minimal vibration. The shaft-lock button and unique knurled collet nut make changing bits easy, too, with no wrench required. A three-hour battery charger and a carrying case are included. --Jon Groebner ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Extremely useful gadget
I have a line powered Dremel but I most often grab for this rechargeable unit because its easier to handle without the cord. It is great for tight spots in the car. I recently upgraded the intercooler piping in my car and needed to enlarge a 2" hole to 3" diameter. I just used the cordless Dremel to make numerous radial cuts and bent the "tabs" back. I would have gone nuts trying to cut that out with a hack saw or file! I always use it at the full 15 krpm speed and don't miss a variable control at all.

My friend lost his special "antitheft" key wrench for his license plate mounting bolts. I just used a cut-off wheel to make two cross cuts in the (round) bolt heads, and unscrewed it with a Phillips head screwdriver. Without a Dremel, it would have been tough.

The battery life is short, but I always have an extra charged battery ready. If I'm working with it alot, I just rotate the batteries through the separate wall mounted recharger.

It can also be used as a printed circuit drill or for other small precise drilling. Much easier to handle than a typical hand drill for light work.

It does kick up some metal bits so use eye protection!

3-0 out of 5 stars Useful for small jobs
Overall a good useful tool for light duty use only. Battery life is very short and the cutting wheels are delicate. I've pretty much destroyed all my wheels and stones putting the dremel to tasks which it obviously can't handle. The case is rugged and holds lots of bits and attachments.

I plan to purchase a corded dremel for those more ambitious jobs.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cordless version has quirks - but does great job
Good: high speed+abrasive wheel cuts through ANYTHING, light durable feel when using, vast array of bits makes this a jack of all trades from cutting to polishing.

Bad: battery pack does not last very long, On/Off Switch is not definite (safety concern?), needed to buy 2nd battery pack while working a a bathroom project

This is NOT a drill. I see other reveiwers complain about this. If you want torque buy a light-dimming 12Amp Milwaukee Power Drill. The Dremel is an abrasive tool. If used intelligently it will do ALMOST anything you ask it to.

5-0 out of 5 stars An incredibly useful tool that even I can use without mishap
I'm not what you would call a handy sort of fellow; a few years ago, my greatest handyman-type success was the successful changing of a light bulb. Five years ago, I had never even heard of Dremel; now, I wonder how and why anyone goes through life without a handy-dandy Dremel tool. A few years ago, I got it in my head that I wanted to build my own working versions of Tom Servo, Crow T. Robot, and Gypsy of Mystery Science Theater 3000 fame. Such a project involves some tool-oriented activity, so for the first time in my life I found myself looking at tools. Since I know nothing about tools, I went about my business trying to look like I knew what I was looking for. I think every man responds to the siren call of the hardware department at some point in his life, but not until I found myself looking at a selection of Dremel products did I feel a strange lump of excitement in the pit of my stomach; tool anxiety had suddenly turned into tool excitement, and I gleefully returned home with this Dremel Multipro Cordless kit - feeling quite manly, I might add.

Exactly what does this thing do, you ask? Dude, what doesn't it do? It slices, it dices - no, wait, that's not right. This Dremel tool carves, it grinds, it polishes, it sands, it cuts, it brushes, it drills, it does darn near everything. It comes with 50 accessories in the form of abrasive wheels, drill bits, wire brushes, polishers, engraving cutters, router bits, and cutting wheels. I, being born with a passive tool-user gene, can't really tell what each accessory piece does just by looking at it, but I'm sure most halfway intelligent people can. I have fun just trying to figure it all out. What I needed at the time I bought my Dremel kit was a little sander tool, and even I could recognize the accessories made for that purpose. I soon had my proto-Tom Servo head free of jagged edges and was ready to delve further into my little project; this was just the first of many little Dremel success stories in my suddenly tool-enabled household.

The tool itself is a portable two-speed unit that comes with its own battery and charger. Whenever you get through using it, just plug it back up to let it recharge, and it's ready to go the next time you need it. It is light-weight and allows for different grips, helping to ensure you can pretty much reach whatever little space you need to get to with it. This model has two speeds - 7500 and 15000 rpm. That's pretty darn fast, and that high speed combined with the unit's low torque makes life pretty simple for you - the tool does all the work for you, making this the perfect tool for weaklings such as myself. Now, if you're into some heavy-duty work, the Dremel tool may not meet all of your needs, but for many odd jobs around the house and all manner of hobby activities, a portable Dremel tool is the way to go.

I must say that the documentation that comes with the kit is quite impressive and does actually describe each accessory and its proper uses. Of course, my being a man, I don't think it's legal for me to read a manual, so I just get by on instinct and luck. The kit also comes with a colorful little book telling you all sorts of jobs you can do with your new Dremel tool - if you have a significant other, you might want to keep this kind of information away from her/him. Even if you do get stuck doing odd jobs your better half would never have conceived of without the insight of the Dremel documentation, at least you can be comforted by the fact that you will have a lot of fun playing with your new essential Dremel tool.

5-0 out of 5 stars Almost Flawless
This tool is small, quiet, and easy to hold, even for a woman. It doesnt kick back when it turns on or while you're working with it. When you turn it off, it stops its own rotation immediately instead of spinning to a stop. I got it for my boyfriend for Christmas.

Comes in a nice, compact black case that snaps shut, and even holds the manuals. One small complaint is that the attachments are left to float freely around the box. This can be corrected by using ziplock bags to hold them.

Easy to charge because the bottom of the tool pops off and fits into the charger, so the whole tool doesnt have to hang from your wall.

A couple of notes that would have helped me, so may help you- I thought this tool could be used as an electric screwdriver, but it can not. It spins too fast.

Also, be aware when looking at the Dremel tools that some are corded. I almost ordered a corded one, but decided on this one because of the convenience of use. Corded ones give you more power per price. I think this is the most powerful cordless model offered by Dremel. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
I read these reviews often but had never been moved to write one until now as this is one of the first products that exceeded my expectations.

I had a medium size dry wall project coming up and had heard about these rotary saws but after reading the reviews for them all, I was in doubt: everyone said the DeWalt and Rotozip were loud, messy, difficult to control, and broke bits off often. I like Bosch's products so I decided to take a chance on it. It has been great. I have now finished the project and I can say that all the complaints about the other models do not apply to the Bosch. It is not too loud nor does it send a cloud of dust in one's face. After a couple of cuts it was easy to control and I used the same bit for two weeks without it breaking or seemingly going dull. I have not tried it with real hard surfaces like tile but so far it has been tremendous. It has saved so much time and seems so well made. I liked it so much that I hope this review helps others who are deciding what product to buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great tool
I have used a Rotozip many times and liked it, but when I tried the Bosch 1639K Rotary Saw, i knew it was a Bosch because it is smoother and the controls are better. Bosch is one of my favorite tool makers, I would try anything they make. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Like a Dremel, but with POWER!
I've owned a dremel for over 5 years. We just moved, and I could not find it, apparently hidden deep within our catacombs of packed boxes. It was just the excuse I needed to upgrade. Alas, I saw the RTX tool, an apparently updated Dremel. The RTX attachments and chuck appear to be similar to a Dremel, but the RTX has enough power to be a "real tool". I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I will be giving this gift to many on my Christmas list this year. Other Dremel improvements (over my old Dremel anyway) * Better case, much larger, with a separate tool holder. The dremel sometimes required a crow bar to get the tool into the case and close it. * Better speed control * flip up chuck lock to simplify chucking/unchucking attachments BTW, I use the tool mostly for trim work as a way to finish up coped joints. On quarter round, it does the entire job.

4-0 out of 5 stars FAR superior to Dremel - here's why:
I'd wanted a Dremel for a long time but couldn't resist when I saw a basic (the RTX-3) kit on sale for half as much, with nearly 2x the power!

PROS: A) 2 amps vs. Dremel's 1.2 gives you far better cutting power (I hardly ever need any setting but Low speed!) B) The flip-lever spindle lock is FAR easier to use than a collet-locking button - you never need a tool to change parts, and it locks out the power switch (so you can't accidentally hit the collet lock with the power on - very annoying and possibly breaking the tool). C) It's just plain better-looking than the Dremel. ;-)

CONS: B&D needs to get their act together on accessories and dealers who stock them - and/or let us know whether/which Dremel or Craftsman accessories fit the RTX! I could really use a drill press, router, or flexible extension accessory, and can't seem to find them anywhere in stores (the website isn't too helpful, here, either)

Overall, though, much more power for a much better price - Dremel's needed the competition for a long time, and B&D delivered. (I'll give 'em 5 stars when they get the accessory & distribution thing improved.)

1-0 out of 5 stars Broke on third use, customer service doesn't appear to exist
I bought this to do some tile and wood work around the house. During the first two uses of this tool I was quite happy with what I was able to accomplish with it. However, on only my third use the chuck lock jammed. For those of you that aren't aware of what that is, it is a metal spring loaded pin that stops the chuck from rotating when changing and removing drills, bits, etc. What I discovered is that this pin, while engaging the metal of the chuck is stabilized by the plastic housing of the unit. This would seem to me to be both a major design flaw and something that could be easily and inexpensively remedied in future units. The plastic had given way and now the chuck lock has been rendered useless. I contacted the retailer of the unit who told me that I had must have "abused" the unit and they refused to accept the return. I have attempted to contact Black and Decker directly via their customer service contact form on their web site to no avail. I have never received a response to either of the two inquiries that I made. What I thought would be a nice tool for the price turned into a lemon very quickly. This is the last Black and Decker tool I'll ever buy.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's okay
I'm by no means a person who has any familiarity with power tools, but one day I decided that it would be useful to get a rotary tool to deal with certain things around the house. Perhaps my expectations were a little high, but once I started using this tool, I realized that it had very limited potential. It works well enough for sanding, so long as the part to be sanded is in the open and unobstructed. But in terms of cutting and and de-rusting, it's not that great of a use. At one point I was making chainmail, and tried using the tool to cut the rings of, but the so-called heavy duty cut-off disks either blew apart or rapidly ground down too next to nothing. Granted, the tool did come in handy at times, and so it was not a complete waste. It does seem to have more than adequate power, and fortunately my tool has worked fine since I bought it.

2-0 out of 5 stars The worst customer service!
I realize that nothing is perfect. For $60 I don't expect RTX to be an Industrial tool. I did however expected it to work longer than 15 minutes! After the second use, the chuck lock failed and I had to use a small screw driver to unlock the chuck. After the 5th use, the speed controller failed. It started to hiccup while working. The sixth time I went to use the tool, it seized and smoke came out of it! Total life of this unit was about 15 minutes. I bought it more than 60 days ago so the retailer will not exchange it. I have written to Black and Decker through their web site several times. I have not heard anything from them. I realize, I may have a lemon. Not having any information from the manufacturer is the worst part. I am buying a second one now. This time I am going with Dremel. Lemon or no lemon, I am very dissatisfied with the customer service at Black and Decker. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Sharpening I ever had
Previous to spending 10 bucks for the Dremel Sharpening attachment, I was taking my chains to a professional to have them sharpened. It pays to follow the directions in setting up the sharpener correctly, but, once you do, you'll get the BEST sharpening job ever. My sharpening job with the sharpener was far superior to any of the sharpenings that I ever got from a professional. Plus, the professional guys ground an 1/8th inch or so off of the teeth each time they sharpened my chains, when, in fact, all they needed to do was to put a sharp edge on the teeth. The Dremel sharpener works magnificently and gives you a phenomenally sharp edge that will last a long time [as long as you keep your chain out of the dirt!] For the price of this product, it simply can't be beat.

3-0 out of 5 stars Instructions Incorrect!
When a chainsaw is sharpened, the sharpening tool is always referenced to the top of the cutting tooth (see the sharpening instructions from any saw chain manufacturer).

However, on Dremel attachment 1453, front of box, the picture shows the guide riding on the chain's depth gauge instead. Printed instructions on the back of the box (and supported with pictures) confirm this error for both left and right teeth.

To further confuse matters, the instruction sheet inside the box describes a method where the guide rides on top of the tooth for one side of the chain, but on top of the depth gauge for the other side! This is also incorrect, in addition to contradicting the instructions on the box.

Nonetheless, the device works adequately, especially if the user modifies the procedure to cause the guide to ride on top of the cutters for both sides of the chain.

In my opinion, this would become an excellent attachment if the instructions were rewritten, the pictures on the box replaced by correct ones, and the guide manufactured as a mirror image of the one presently sold. This would allow sharpening both sides from the non-engine side of the saw, thereby allowing two more teeth to be sharpened before chain repositioning. On an 18 inch bar this amounts to five rather than three teeth for left side cutters - a 67 percent improvement.

I have e-mailed Dremel with some of these observations, but received no reply!

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great!
I took a chance that this chainsaw sharpening attachment would do the job on my little Poulan electric chainsaw. It works great! Chains grow dull fairly quickly, particularly when you let the chain touch dirt. This little tool sharpens the chain like new and only takes a few minutes to get the sharpening job done. You can't go wrong. Dremel provides three different size sharpening stones that will accomodate most chains.

4-0 out of 5 stars Much easier than a file
This works much better than I thought it would. Accuracy is equivalent to a handheld file but it's a lot quicker and easier. I don't believe this fits the battery operated Dremel so you have to use it near a power source. Installation on the Dremel tool is vary easy. It takes maybe 15 seconds longer than changing a regular bit. If you have more than one size chainsaw, consider getting two. They are not expensive and you save having to set it up each time you switch saws. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Where have you been
This should prove to be a first class item. When working in cramped areas this is better then the Flex Shaft since you can get the whole tool in where you need it. Plus the quick installation is so useful.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Right Tool for the Job
This attachment makes a versatile tool even more versatile. I've used it to trim sheet metal ductwork and make cuts in wooden siding in a tight spot under the floor of a room addition. I've also used it to trim off PVC pipe ends from the inside out. It adds a whole new aspect to the Dremel tool by helping me to reach those difficult spots like that. Frequently, I use it to cut off nails and screws that can't be removed. This attachment stays on my Dremel tool all the time now. I'm glad I bought this one! I'm still exploring its uses. Always remember to go slow and make several passes at the material as you cut so as not to overload the Dremel. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best tool ever
I got this ool for my science class. We use it for building moust trap cars and it works like a dreem. great construcion and you can even get replacement blades for it. if you build mouse trap care this is a defanite.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome little saw
I am amazed at the clean cut that this saw makes. I suppose it depends on the material you are cutting, but more often than not get a smooth, precise cut with no ragged edges. The saw is also remarkably easy to guide and cut a straight line. It's very well put together and I've had no negative issues with it whatsoever.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not new, but useful
Dremel had a saw blade bit an number of years ago but withdrew it, probably because there was no blade guard. Now they have solved the blade guard problem and by angling the tool a bit have made it able to cut in the center of a board. It took a little getting used to before I got comfortable with it because the guard tends to fight you a bit until you develop the technique to open it properly as you start the cut. It is limited to 1/4" depth of cut making it specifically a modelers tool. When used for what it does best, it is great.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor quality.
It works fine but it rattles like it is going to fall apart. Very poor construction built like dremel has abought 2 dollars in construction. All plastic except for center shaft. They should charge a price closer to the quality of product abought $5.00 Here is to a vibrating piece of junk. ... Read more

It's no surprise that RotoZip's inventor was a professional builder, looking for a better, faster, smarter way to get the job done. 2-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointing
I borrowed a Roto-Zip on one or more occasions and I liked it. I was very happy when I received one as a gift. I was very disappointed though when I used the cut-off attachment and I could not get the cut-off wheel off! The lock down button went in, but could not keep the unit from spinning. The plastic had parted to the side. Now I will have to go through the aggravation of getting it repaired, or even better, sending it back. Thanks for wasting my time ROTO-ZIP! 4-0 out of 5 stars pleasantly surprised
I got this as a Christmas present, and just now used it for the first time to engrave my cellphone. I had been wondering how easy it would be to control, but am glad to report that the result was as small & legible as what can be achieved with pen and paper.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best!
This is the best engraver I ever used.
I did try all engravers on the market.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Tool
I bought this engraver with birthday money from a discount store last fall, after researching it online. It will leave its mark on just about anything you would want. I like the variable speed settings which allows you to match the work to the material. I have used it to initial all my tools so there is no mistaking who it belongs to. It works on hardened steel as well as plastic. My wife uses it for craft projects in her pre-school teaching job.

5-0 out of 5 stars Reliable & Easy to Use
This engraver works incredibly well. Although it looks unweildy, its very easy to control and engrave clearly. In fact, my engravings turned out to look just like my handwriting. I've used it to engrave tools and other metal and steel products, and it has done it with ease. I've had one for several years now, and its still an excellent & reliable engraver.

2-0 out of 5 stars These once came standard with the flex shaft kit
I guess Emerson Electric figured they could make a few more pence selling these as accessories. By using these chucks you will relieve yourself of the trivial task of changing collets, but you will lose the precision and balance of collets in the bargain. These chucks are low-grade stuff indeed; they cause considerable runout and vibration in addition to the obvious clumsiness of their larger size.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice idea, but not 100%
While I do like the conevience of the chuck, it does not rotate 100% true. This causes a very slight wobble at the tip of any drill bit. I have tried 2 different chucks, but both yield the same results. I only use the chuck when absolute precision isn't required.

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome time-saver, but not for use with other attachments
I rarely use the standard collet that comes with the tool any more, after buying this item. No more looking for a wrench (which I invariably loose), etc. Beware, though: I took for granted that it would be compatible with my chainsaw charpening attachment. It is not. If you use other attachments, don't expect to be able to use this at the same time. If you don't use other attachments...well...go on to the next review. Well worth the buy, in my opinion

5-0 out of 5 stars Cheap at twice the price
This chuck (which I consider to be essential) greatly enhances the convenience of any Dremel. You might be tempted to save the old collet device this chuck replaces, but before long you will discard it as useless trash. I do a lot of really miniature work and I find the chuck to be great for holding things as small as a 1/64th inch drill. I have one on each of my 3 Dremels.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dremel 4486 MultiPro Chuck.
I don't understand why Dremel doesn't include this great little chuck as a standard accessory with all their Multi-Tools. It is so much easier, faster and less frustrating than fumbling with the tiny collar and wrench that the tools come equipped with. If you change bits on your Dremel often, as most users do, you will quickly come to appreciate the 4486. As for me, the 4486 is comparable to the Flex-Shaft as one of the single most worthwhile attachments available for adding versatility and conveience. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good...........but......
Overall the general purpose bit is pretty good. For the price you can stock-up on them without breaking the bank.

Be careful if cutting through dense woods. The bit heats up fast and can dull prematurely as a result. It you are going to do alot of cutting in dense woods, I recomend you get yourself one of their bits with the carbide burrs (dw6613). It is designed for tile and stucco so, it should not have any problem with hard woods. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Just where is the savings?
I refuse to buy this product from you for the following reasons! You advertise that I save $10. by buying a battery pack from you, then charge 33 percent of its value, or $10., in "postage and handling". That makes the $20.00 item cost $30.00. My biggest question is this: How can you possibly charge $10. postage for a tiny, light weight item such as this?

5-0 out of 5 stars A must-have accessory for the Minimite
The Dremel Minimite is a great tool for jobs away from AC power. Its single battery is good for most jobs; but, if the job goes into overtime (over 45 minutes of tool use), this extra battery is an absolute must. Rather than dealing with a dwindling battery at the end (and often most crucial part) of the job, pop in a replacement and finish with gusto!

Off line, while charging one battery in the charger, the second battery convienently sits on top of the charger housing. Number them 1 & 2 to differentiate between the two and you've got a winning pair for any job in the field! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The best and most practical Dremel tool to own
The variable speed Moto-Tool is the only way to fly for working with fired & unfired ceramics, precious and alloy metals, plastics, and wood. The speed adjustment ensures proper cutter control while not damaging the workpiece.

The flex shaft increases this tool's versatility ten fold! With it, you can work in areas that were obstructed for the Moto-Tool au natural.

The abundance of other accessories (router attachment, drill press, cutting accessories) makes this a tool that you can build a good economical workshop around.

You'll be surprised and amazed in just how often you will use it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Variable Speed Switch cause of Malfunction
This Dremel was great when it worked. I had the same problems that I see many others have had. The variable speed switch was not designed well and the tool is rendered useless after a few weeks of light usage. The tool was sent in for warranty repair 2 weeks ago, still waiting.

5-0 out of 5 stars Christmas dream
I mentioned to my mother ONCE that I wanted this...and so I was stunned when I got it for Christmas! I use it for everything from clockmaking, to cleaning and refinishing antique jewellery and the like. Everything... literally everything. There are so many more attachments to get!... The "flex shaft" is a necessity for me, at least. So I reccommend buying this "super kit" which comes with that flex shaft. ...

5-0 out of 5 stars Dremel does it again!
I still have my 10-year-old Dremel tool but I wanted this one because it goes up to 35,000 rpm. And is it sweet! I like the soft grip body because it is more comfortable to hold and doesn't slip when my hands get sweaty. The faster speeds make the cuts smoother when I use the routing bits.

I also like the way Dremel keeps coming out with new bits to keep the tool versatile.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice tool but I'm not surprised
I bought this tool as a gift because of the Flex Shaft and all of the enclosed accessories. I own two Dremels and they have stood up to everything I can throw at them. The person I got the tool for is an artist and uses the tool for carving wood and plastic. She was very happy to receive this tool as a present and it makes me happy knowing that she uses it every day. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

When it comes to versatility, few tools can match the Black & Decker MT1203B cordless multitool featuring interchangeable drill/driver, jig saw, and sander/polisher heads. Each attachment locks securely into the ergonomic base quickly and with little effort. As a drill/driver, the multitool features a 24-position, keyless chuck with variable speeds ranging from 0 to 700 rpm. An electric brake stops the chuck in less than one second, for even better control. The jig saw features a tool-less quick-clamp blade changing system, a 45 degree bevel, and a blade support roller for more accurate cuts and a longer blade life. It cuts through wood, thin-gauge sheet metal, plastic, or composite tile, with speeds ranging from 0 to 3,000 spm. As a sander/polisher, the multitool works much like Black & Decker's Mouse sander. Its hook-and-loop fastening system makes accessory changes quick and easy, while the included detailing pad provides a fine finish in even the tightest spaces. --Carl Thress ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Seems like an awsome deal!
While I never used the product mentioned, I own a Black and Decker 18v drill and am totally satisfied. Considering all the tools, this product seems like a real score for the price. I would love a gift like this...

At 700 RPM and 12v, the drill might only be useful for light to medium duty work (cutting doorknob holes or drilling into metal seems like it would be pushing it) but for easy work like making holes in the wall to hang stuff or assembling Ikea furniture it should be adequate. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I had no trouble
I'm not sure if other people have gotten bad tools or what, because i've had great luck with my circle cutter! it flys through drywall, and i use it to cut out circles in 3/8" plywood for my daughter's room. I had no problems with it at all!

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it!
I tried cutting over 20 circles in 1/4", 3/8, 1/2" plywood and in 1/2" pine stock - just won't cut a clean hole - always tends to spiral towards the end of the cut.
The attachment is made plastic and is not designed to do anything near 'precision work. Maybe its OK for drywall.
The instruction say to rotate the gizmo clockwise but the accompanying picture shows the a arrow going counterclockwise - either way the cut drifts outward as the cut goes to completion. The attachment fits nicely in the Rotozip carring case - I hope the whole thing sells well on eBay. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars If you've got a file and some boy scout skills use those.
I got one of these with my dremel tool. It works, but I really think a dremel tool is underpowered for sharpening applications. I spent some time trying to sharpen my shovel with it and finally gave up and grabbed a file and had it finished and a second shovel in less time and with far less noise. Let's face it, neither shovel or lawnmower blades need to be as accurately sharpened as a knife and a file will work handily, cost the same and last longer.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good for midseason sharpening
The Dremel lawnmower blade sharpener works pretty good. But only as a midseason blade sharpener. Be careful sparks fly all over the place with this tool. If your blades are really dull take them to the pros but at midseason this tool will help put the edge back on a mild dull blade. Buy extra 932 grinding stones because you'll go thu them quick. ...
