I installed PL1002 in the Bench Dog Router Table and its so nice to have a set up that is as rock solid as you can get. Sure its a little expensive but you get what you pay for. If you want the best, get the PL1002 along with the Bench Dog Router Table, you can not go wrong.

5-0 out of 5 stars Major time saver
The Bench Dog lift gives you what you pay for. This is a precision made/machined router lift. It is HEAVY, reducing vibration substantially. Fit and finish are impressive.

This is not an accessorie, It is a neccessity!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Precision, heavy duty.
This router lift is a heavy duty, precision mechanism. It is possible to adjust your bit height to within .001". The 8 threads per inch adjusting screw means it it is much faster to raise the bit than the competition. The lift holds the router motor directly, so you can raise it high enough to change the bit from the top. I estimate that this lift cuts 2/3 from my set-up time.
Some nit-picking: An insert that fits Porter-Cable type guide bushings is extra cost.
I recommend that you get a remote on-off switch for safety's sake, since, like all table routers, the controls on the router are awkward to access. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best on the market
For hardly a little more than the cheapie template guide sets you get a very nice one from Porter cable. The nice thing about it is if you have a Porter cable or Makita router you simply slip the guide into the existing hole in your baseplate and secure it with one of the provided nuts. Insert the right sized bit and you are now ready to go to work on whatever guide you need to follow. Much nicer than changing your base out with one of those universal kits , which use three screws to secure the guide to the base. If you need a template guide kit , you can't go wrong with this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Porter Cable Template Guides appear to be the standard
I'm a multi router owner person. It seems that no matter what router I am using, they all accept the Porter Cable template guides. They work in the Dewalts, Makitas, or course the Porter Cables, as the description says, but they also work in the Fein Rt-1800, and with the Bosch routers as well with the adapter.
Template guides are useful when routing out a piece of work using a template as a guide. The appropriate size guide to accomodate the size router bit, simply attaches to your plastic or metal removable center base plate, using the template guide, and a threaded metal securing ring. The gap distance between the outer edge of the template guide, and the leading edge of your router bit, is the oversize dimension you have to make your template. The template guide prevents the edge of the router bit from touching your template. The protruding nipple-collar accomplishes that. To accomplished routists that earn a duh no kidding award, but to the new guys on the block, that is key to know, and opens up a new world, and a reason to buy the kit.
The Porter Cable 42000 kit is made out of white metal. Their are some manufacturers that make them out of brass, but this kit is hard to beat. The price is right, and it does the job more than adequately. My one gripe is that they are hard to remove from the metal base plate in my Fein. No way to grip the spinninng bottom that sits perfectly flush with the plate. A huge rubber eraser might help. :-) I plan on coating them with WD-40 so that ease of removal doesn't become a problem. All in all a very nice set.

1-0 out of 5 stars Porter-Cable 42000 9-Piece Template Guide Kit
The kit that I received did not appear to be cast as some of the Porter Cable sets apparently have been, but they may use stamping in their manufacturing process because they are obviously not "machined" (as in cut on a lathe). However, I found that these steel guides do not work nearly as smoothly as brass guides such as those available from Oak Park. The reason may be the cadmium plating doesn't seem to be very smooth. The brass guides are quite a bit more expensive but are very well machined. When I bought my Leigh D4 Dovetail fixture, I was advised by the Leigh rep at the woodworking show to not use the PC guides. Leigh can supply guide sets that are very high quality machined steel. I bought the Leigh guides and found that they are just as good as the Oak Park brass guides, but I still prefer brass for its smoothness.

1-0 out of 5 stars Porter Cable Template Guide Kit
This kit came with seven different sized guides and two threaded rings to attach the guides to the router's base plate. The guides seem to be sized correctly but the general quality of the guides is rather poor. The pieces are advertised as "MACHINED", but are obviously NOT machined as the threads on all the pieces are showing signs of either casting or stamping. While the locking nuts DID thread onto each guide easily, it was discerning to see something with PORTER CABLE'S name on it with such obvious flaws. (...)

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Recommended For Use With Leigh D4 Dovetail Jig
I purchased this product, specifically, to use with the Leigh D4 Dovetail Jig because I wanted to use half-inch router bits to cut the pins and tails in a through-dovetail operation. When doing this the end of the board to be routed rests at a 90-degree angle against the underside of the dovetail jig. What I discovered is that the templete guides are too long for this operation -- they descend lower than the dovetail jig fingers. Of course, the board can be lowered to accomodate for the difference, but then there is no support for the finger assembly, resulting in unevenly-cut dovetails. This set of template guides is not the answer if you are looking to route dovetails using the Leigh D4 Dovetail Jig. You will want to find template guides that complement the jig without having to make unneeded adjustments.

This is in no way meant to criticize this product for normal routing operations. Again, I purchased this product for a very specific task and subsequently found that it was not the right tool for that task. ... Read more

The micro-adjustment sets this guide apart from others in its price range. It’s easy to adjust with a turn, and it’s marked clearly in white, so it’s easy to read. Setup is a breeze, and we got great results. Our favorite feature is the dust collection port, which, when hooked up to a standard shop vac, really kept the sightline clear of chips and curls. Construction is sturdy. If you don’t have an edge guide in your shop, this one’s definitely worth considering. Its virtues: easy setup, nice fine-tuning mechanism, accuracy and clean chip removal. A good bet for the home woodworker as well as the professional.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money
I purhcased this a few weeks ago from Amazon. I played around on scrap while getting the hang of it. It is easy to setup and use. I used it making some fluted trim and the vac port worked ok when working near the edge but hooking the shop vac directly to the Dewalt plunge router worked better. All in all well worth the money.

4-0 out of 5 stars Review of DeWalt universal edge guide
I received the edge guide a few days ago and used it to complete the mortising for the hanging brackets of my daughter's bed that I recently completed. I felt that the setup was a snap and it is easy to use. Prior to using the guide I made a few practice cuts so that I could get a feel for the adjustment and accuracy of the edge guide. Given how inexpensive this edge guide is, I believe it works great and have no complaints.

1-0 out of 5 stars bad points
I don't like this edge guide because
1.) it's so flimsy. The metal fence seems to be made of cheap metal.. it's almost like plastic.

2.) Also, adjustment is a bit awkward because you have to shim the fence up and down and side to side to move it. VERY TIME CONSUMING

3.) and it's easy to loose the spring-loaded adjustment screw if you loosen it too much

4.) MOST ANNOYING: if the router bit is not flush against the fence, you will CONTINUALLY generate strips of wood that actually jam inside the fence and elsewhere.

CONCLUSION - better get an edge guide from someone else. This one is cheap

5-0 out of 5 stars Great addon
This works very well. Very easy to setup and adjust, the micro adjust feature is great for dialing in exactly what is needed. The dust port works well when working on edges.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful edge guide
This is edge guide is very accurate, it's easy to mount and use.

I originally bought the smaller cheaper guide. It was too small with only a narrow contact against the wood. It wasn't very long so it was harder for me to feel it making contact with the wood. I ended up getting this at a later time when I large project came along.

This guide is more substantial. It has larger contact surfaces, great adjustment and some weight which helps you maintain control of the router. I don't feel that it's awkward weight, just something substantial that helps control the tool.

I actually ripped a long piece or material and screwed it along the edge to increase the stability. It has holes machined in its face which allow you to do just that if you think you need it. Most cases you probably won't. I just happened to need a longer fence.

Another plus is that it will fit the new 890 series so I didn't have to get another fence when I added this router to my collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars OHIO WOODWORKER
I PURCHASE THIS GUIDE ITS DEAD ON AND IT WORKS WELL I WOULD RECOMEND IT. ITS A MUST HAVE ITEM IF YOU HAVE PC ROUTER.

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up and use
I've used the edge guide numerous times in the last year and half and can honestly say it's perfect for what I want to do. Comparing the price with the Micro edge guide that's on the market makes this a real bargain! I'd recommend it to anyone. Now, if I could only get one for my Makita 3612BR.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Like It
Excellent router positioning guide. The micro adjustment feature makes lining up your rabbets, dadoes, etc. very easy. I would recommend the guide for anyone who uses their router for edge work, especially on longer pieces that are awkward on the router table. If interested, many dealers are offerring the guide with the purchase of the 693PK package of routers.

4-0 out of 5 stars OVER BUILT
Granted this thing is accurate and well made (almost bomb proof) but why so heavy and bulky.I dont think it's necessary.I love porter cable products and have used them for years. My edge guide came as a freebie with a package deal I bought.I use it and have no complaints about it other than it being just too big and heavy. If and When I buy a new edge guide it will be the porter cable model# 5043,it offers the same level of accuracy but without all the bulk. Now get out there and round something over. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Did not receive Fine Adjustment Control Extension
My base arrived without the Fine Adjustment Control Extension, and an inquiry to amazon.com customer service brought the reply that this was a widespread solution. I suggestion just sending me an extension, since they are sold separately, but I am still waiting for a reply.

1-0 out of 5 stars Design flaw
>
This letter was e-mailed to Bosch. Lets see if they are helpful.

Dear Sirs,

I recently bought an RA1164 router base with fine adjust handle (to be mounted under a router table). I actually only needed the handle. I own about 8 Bosch routers and wanted to mount one undermount one. The fine adjust handle is easier to reach under a table.

Unfortunately the fine adjust handle broke off after a few weeks use. Examination shows that the construction of this handle is completely insufficient. The handle is threaded into a fitting on the router base. The threaded end of the handle is actually a hollow tube with walls about 1/16" thick. Any lateral pressure (sideways} can easily snap the handle off at this weak point, as happened to me.

Please let me know if you are willing to fix this problem with a different casting or other means of threading the handle, and how I can get the fix.

Very truly yours

Elia A. Sinaiko

3-0 out of 5 stars Good base but watch the bit.
This is a great base for undertable use however....sometimes when I set the depth and then close the locking clamp, the router body (and bit) moves up (enough to make a difference). I've just learned to keep an eye on the bit when I close the clamp and usually when I readjust the depth, the router doesn't move again....Go figure!

4-0 out of 5 stars An excellent solution for multi-use routers
Most of us don't have unlimited tool budgets and can't afford to sacrifice a fine router to permanent table use. On the other hand, continually screwing/unscrewing a router base from under the table can be a pain while dragging out project time. This seperate under table base is an excellent solution to that problem. The router motor slips in and out with the flip of a lever and a quarter twist, and locks firmly in place.

The RA1164 is essentially the same as the stock base supplied with the router, minus the nice wood handles. The real bonus is that the under table base has the same precision depth adjustment as the stock unit (1/16" per turn). It also comes with an extension for the depth adjustment that makes it even easier to reach in tight places. It's a great addition to any shop.

Be advised that this RA1164 base only works with specific Bosch router models: 1617 (16171), 1617EVS (16176), 1618 (16181, 1618EVS (16186), 1617 220 volt (0601617161). ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Do yourself a favor and do your homework
Lots of people get caught up in gadgetry. Go to your local supply house (woodcraft.... ) or stop by any furniture making shop and see how many of them have this in their shop. NONE all of these type jigs are junk and UNSAFE. As with many jigs you are better off making your own. It will be SAFER, more reliable and more consistent.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cracked like chalk before first use!! Deserves 0 Stars.
What can I say about a product supposedly made of steel that quite literally breaks in half when taken out of its box?

I was going to use for the first time and was ready to asemble it, when I noticed that the two large sides sides had separated. It turns out the "metal" hinge between them had snapped right down the middle. The exposed surfaces had the texture of broken chalk and, obviously, this thing is just as brittle. Since I didn't exert any force on this thing and since I didn't hear any popping or cracking sound. I can only assume that it was package broken. I'm getting my money back.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a godsend
I have never had any way to rip non-square lines on my table saw in the past. Consequently, it's always been difficult. I finally broke down and decided to buy a taper jig, and this thing is awesome! It's inexpensive, light, easy to setup and use, and makes it almost impossible not to cut straight. This is something that no one with a table saw should be wihout.

5-0 out of 5 stars A quickie preview
At the risk of having my head chopped off for writing a review before I received the product, I thought this was worth mentioning. I was looking for a tapering jig that would save me the time of having to build one. (Engineering time, etc.) For the cost of this unit, it seems like a no brainer. I looked at the Big Horn, which was number 140 in Amazons sales rank, so their are a lot of them sold. This Vermont American is a new listing. I noticed that the main comment of dissatisfaction with the Big Horn was the lightness of the unit. Their was a mention of being able to bend it in half. I noticed the shipping weight on the Big Horn was a mere 1.7 pounds. The shipping weight on this Vermont American is 2.75 pounds. That is a 60% increase in the weight of the unit. The extra pound plus probably means additional strength. The other thing I liked is the lifetime replacement warranty. Once I get the unit, I will post a more complete review. I gave it 4 stars because I felt it was a neutral outlook, and would be glad to give it a 5 if the unit measures up. Thanks for your time.
Wellllllllll here is the follow up. It arrived. Box weight 5 lbs. This unit you can not bend in half, unless you put it between cinderblocks and stand on it. Easy to set up.
I have come to love cast iron, lead sled, old fashioned, micro adjutable machinery. This is none of that, but it more than adequately does the job. It is made from formed sheet steel-painted. You can fine set it manually. By measuring off the trailing edge of the workpiece-touching the blade, you can get an exact setting. It comes with a measuring indicator, and that indicator leaves a little room for adjustment when tightening it down.
I was curious if the tapering jigs had a stop block on the workpiece side, and sure enough it does. This unit is reversible for both left and right tilt saws. It is designed to work with radial arm saws as well.
The foremost factor in this unit is that it does the job adequately and is so cheap, that if you bought it just for the mounting handle, and sliding adjuster, and built your own out of wood and a hinge, it would be worth it. I will use the unit, just the way it is. If I was tapering legs for a living, I would be looking for cast iron lead sled.
Some things you need a high quality piece of equipment. Some things, it is not as radically neccessary to have the best.
Here are the essentials. The unit adjusts very easily, and the adjustment locks up very true, and will not creep a setting. The unit lays flat on the table, and will not create a rocking piece while cutting, especially if pressed down onto the table while cutting.
In conclusion: I don't know how much need I will have to make tapering legs, but for this kind of money, it is reassuring to know that I have the capability. I don't want to make the Vermont Tapering jig to be more than it is, but it is well made to do the job more than adequately. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Big Rip-off
I think it's criminal that Porter Cable has chosen not to include both the 1/4 inch and the 1/2 inch collet with this $300 plus router. This collet can't cost more than fifty cents; yet it's retailing for around $12. This is especially true since Porter Cable has joined the ranks of other companies, manufactoring their blades and bits in China. I have a number of Porter Cable tools, and they've always been first rate. I was really surprised when I received my new 7518, and it only had one collet. If they're going to rip you off on a collet, who knows what corners they're going to cut inside the case.

5-0 out of 5 stars Does the job fine
Works great, if you need it, get it, no problems. Works in all of the Porter Cable Routers that I have. Zero complaints and I always find every little design flaw.

5-0 out of 5 stars 1/4" collet for PC 7518
Unfortunately, the Porter Cable 7518 router only includes a 1/2" collet. This 1/4" self-releasing collet allows the woodworker who already purchased 1/4" bits to use the older bits in the PC 7518, saving the cost of purcashing new 1/2" bits. This collet fits in all Porter Cable 690 router series as well. If you've ever delt with a frozen router bit, you'll appreciate the self-releasing feature. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars no manuals
The Jess Em Mast-R-Lift arrived with out any manuals or supporting documents. The template was also ordered and is nothing more than a 16 X 19 in. by 3/4 in. thick MDF board with a hole in it without instructions. The $9.90 cost for the template is excessive as a 4 X 8 foot sheet of MDF can be purchased for less money.
The use of the template requires the hole to be cut with a 1/2 inch bit with a with a 3/4 inch bearing, none of which are supplied by the vendor.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you have or are considering the Porter Cable 7518...
If you have or are considering the Porter Cable 7518 model, JessEm makes the MAST-R-LIFT which works great. Rockler has it if you can't find it here and there are adapters to fit other models. If you intend to use the 7518 only in a router table, then buy the MAST-R-LIFT and only the motor unit of the 7518. It'll save you some $$. Didn't know you could do that. You may get other router vendors via a replacement motor unit. If you're buying a 3+ HP router, that motor is going to be very heavy. Now some router lifts are L shaped and the motor gets strapped on the side. Over time you may not get the consistent support needed for heavy routers. The MAST-R-LIFT is H shaped--giving two vertical bars of support and balanced consistent support. The only bad thing, is I think these units (for their price) should include a template and instructions to route the supporting hole. You might also consider getting an external on/off switch. Also in your table design, plan access to that variable speed switch too. A motorized drive is a luxury and would have to be carefully stepped to get fine adjustments. The crank works great. I did find the plastic inserts a little stiff, but you can touch them up with a Dremel tool if need be. One last point. Always remove the crank handle before you change bits. I didn't do this once, and got a bad cut on my knuckle.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT ADDITION TO ANY ROUTER TABLE
HELLO AGAIN, I JUST FINISHED BUILDING AN EXTENSIVE ROUTER TABLE WHICH USES 3 OF THE JESS-EM ROUT-R-LIFT UNITS AND 3 PORTER CABLE 3 1/4 HP FIXED BASE ROUTERS. I HAVE BEEN USING A JESS-EM ROUT-R-LIFT FOR ABOUT A YEAR WHEN I BUILT A ROUTER TABLE TO USE WHEN I DIDNT NEED THE POWER OF A SHAPER. MY ROUT-R-LIFT HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO ALL KINDS OF HEAVY USE IN MY CUSTOM FURNITURE SHOP. I DO ALOT OF WORK WITH MESQUITE WHICH IS VERY HARD AND TOUGH ON TOOLS. I CAN ADJUST MY ROUTER AND PERFORM ALL THE CUTTING THAT IS REQUIRED WITHOUT ANY CHANGE IN SETTING. AFTER BEING USED FULL TIME IN THE SHOP I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY DOWN TIME NOR ANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE ROUT-R-LIFT. IT IS JUST AS TIGHT AND ACCURATE AS IT WAS THE DAY I BEGAN USING IT. AS FOR THE 200.00 PRICE TAG, ITS A BARGAIN, THE UNIT IS VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT AND USES GOOD QUALITY MATERIAL AND THE WORKMANSHIP IS EXCELLENT. THIS IS THE REASON THAT I JUST PURCHASED 3 MORE ROUT-R-LIFT UNITS FOR MY NEW CABINET DOOR MAKING MACHINE. I BUILT A 3 SIDED ROUTER TABLE THAT IS 36 IN TALL AND 6 FEET LONG WITH AND SHAPED LIKE A U. WHEN YOU STAND IN THE MIDDLE YOU HAVE ACCESS TO ALL THREE ROUTERS, EACH WITH A DIFFERENT BIT. 1 HAS THE RAIL CUTTING BIT THE NEXT HAS THE STILE BIT AND THE LAST HAS THE RAISED PANEL BIT. THERE IS NO CHANGING OF BITS WHILE MAKING A RUN OF CABINET DOORS. I CURRENTLY HAVE 2 HIGH QULITY COMMERCIAL SHAPERS IN MY SHOP. ONE WITH A 3 HP MOTOR AND ONE WITH A 7.5 HP MOTOR. I WANTED SOMETHING DIFFERENT, I WANTED SOMETHING HANDY AND ANYONE THAT USES A SHAPER KNOWS THEY ARE NOT HANDY. THEY ARE ARE BIG AND BULKY AND YOU HAVE TO CHANGE OUT BITS ALL THE TIME IF YOU ARE RUNNING DOORS AND DRAWERS. DONT GET ME WRONG, I USE MINE ALL THE TIME BUT THEY HAVE THERE PLACE IN THE SHOP FOR RUNNING LARGE PIECES AND OR LARGE QUANTITY OF PIECES SUCH AS MILL WORK PIECES.ANYWAY THE ROUT-R-LIFT IS WELL WORTH EVERY DOLLAR WHETHER YOU ARE A PRO OR A WEEKEND WOOD WARRIER. I HAVE NEVER BEEN LET DOWN BY MY ROUT-R-LIFTS NOR DO I KNOW OF ANYONE WHO HAS HAD. I FEEL GOOD ABOUT RECOMMENDING THESE TO THE WOODWORKING FOLKS OUT THERE I HAVE ALWAYS FELT THAT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR THATS WHY I WILL ALWAYS BUY THE BEST. AS ALWAYS...HAPPY WOOD WORKING
FROM JAMES

4-0 out of 5 stars Addendum
I've had the JessEm lift for more than two years now, and I've learned a couple of things.

I'm very satisfied with the quality of the lift. I've not had any problems at all with it. My cuts are smoother than when I had the router attached directly to the table (I don't know why), so no one has to worry on that score.

When using the PC7518 router with the Jess-Em, one can discard the standard base and make a base that brings the motor closer to the top of the table. Fine Woodworking magazine (issue 153 p. 58) has a picture of this as part of an article about building a router table. The purpose is to make changing bits possible without dismounting the router.

There are now other router lifts available that are similar to the JessEm and which have some useful features such as zeroing the lift scale, leveling screws, and direct motor mounting (ie, without the router base). They're advertized in FWW and probably other WW magazines. One make has a cast iron table! They also cost about $100 more, and I don't know what their quality is like. At these prices, if one includes the cost of the router and the table, one might as well buy a small shaper.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is amazing!
This is one of the finest pieces of gear i have ever bought. It is so solid and well-constructed, that it makes the price more than worthwhile. Highly recommended. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great guide - but NOT FOR the 890 Series PC router
Somewhere on the Amazon website I read that this guide would fit the 890... It will once I drill and tap a couple of new holes... Caveat Emptor!

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect
I purchased this to use with a Porter-Cable 7539 Router, it fits perfectly, and should fit any of the listed routers perfectly as well. I had used a friend's craftsman router with the stock edge guide for it, it worked ok, but after using this one there's no comparison. This edge guide is incredibly light weight and considering how long is it is doesn't unbalance the router at all. (Admittedly I'm using a really heavy router). It's also very accurate and is easily adjustable. Even the micro adjuster works really well. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best router accessory I ever bought.
I wasn't sure about using these things, but now that I have a set, I don't get through a single router operation without using them. They are handy, accurate (I used a dial indicator just to make sure), and I also use them for Bandsaw and Tablesaw setups. I almost never have to use other measuring tools for setups within the range covered by this tool. Buy these now, and get 2 sets. They pay for themselves the first day you use them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent product if you ever get them!
I ordered them on the March 29th/04 & now it's April 19th/04 & no signs of them being near shipping yet! If I don't die of old age before they get here, I'll be able to wright more. :-(

5-0 out of 5 stars Major time saver.
Simple, inexpensive, precise. Just stack them for measurements up to 1+5/16" in 1/16" increments. You will find dozens of uses for these little brass bars. Highly recommended!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very useful product
These bars are great setup aids. I used to use blocks such as these when I was a machinist, and they're a very simple way to measure. Want to cut a 3/8-deep dado? Just raise your blade, place the 3/8 brass bar next to it and pass a steel straightedge over to match. Easy! They're an easy way to measure just about anything such as this.

The bars are smaller than I expected, though - the picture is true, but my eye expected something larger. The bars are only 2-3/8 inches long, and not exact at that. And you'll have to file the ends to get the burrs off so that they will sit flat. Not much, just a little.

After receiving these bars, it inspired me to go to the hardware store and pick up some 3/4" square brass bar stock ... and cut it to various lengths to go along with this set. I made a set of 1", 2", 3", and 6" long bars. Now I can measure a lot more, very simply!

The "wooden" block that they sit in is not really wood, if that matters to you. It's a 2-3/8 by 3-7/8 piece of 3/4-thick "woodstalk" engineered fiberboard, manufactured from harvested wheat straw and resin. It's a good way to use wheat field waste that previously had been burned. Looks like MDF, actually.

I would give it the fifth star if it was real wood and if the ends of the bars were "cleaner". It seems a little overpriced for about [price] worth of cut brass bar stock and MDF in a little plastic bag, though.

Still, I'm not complaining. This is a good product, does just what it's supposed to do, and will serve its purpose very well.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great little item for the workbench!
This set is a real time saver. Why didn't I think of this before?
No more time wasted time with minute measurments. The setup bars do it for you, take out any guesswork, and saves A LOT of time. I love'em. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A nice adjuster
This came with my Hiatchi M12V, which I got here at Amazon for a very reasonable price (Home Depot's price was $50 more!). I use this adjustment knob when the router is mounted in its table. I removed the plunge springs to keep them elastic. Although not a perfect system (raising all the way up takes a lot of rotations!), it definitely is better then trying to fight the springs with one hand and hold a square in the other!

4-0 out of 5 stars Router table users beware.
I'm pleased with the ease the adjustment knob attached on my Hitachi M12V and with the way the knob allows fine adjustments. Use it with something like the General Tools 23 Aluminum Router Gauge or a drill bit (known diameter/height) to get the adjustments you want. However, if you are a bench top router table user be aware that this is one tall adjustment handle. You may have to set your table up on blocks or use it between to different benches to keep the adjustment handle from bottoming out.

1-0 out of 5 stars Did not fit my Hitachi TR12
This product does not fit my router, although I was led to believe it would by the product description. It has no value to me.

4-0 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE
WITHOUT IT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE FINE ADJUSTMENTS ON A ROUTER TABLE. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Dust extraction that works
I've purchased this and put it on my router and did some plunge routing. 70 % of the chips were captured and the clean-up was considerably less. I also noticed that my dust mask seemed to plug up less. It apparently get the fine dust too. For the cost it's worth the effort. The black hose adapter converts the hose from metric to english. I would recommend that you convert to a larger hose fairly quickly because the small hose cause a significant loss in vacumm the longer it is. ... Read more
