It's got me hooked!
I was a bit skeptical before purchasing the Bigg Lugg Heavy-Duty Multiple Use Power Tool Holder. I wasn't sure that it would be practical. Well, the second I tried it out, I knew I was hooked (all pun intended). Because of the weight of the cordless battery packs on cordless drills (especially the 18-volt and above), I found that the two different traditional drill holsters I've been using fall a bit short. My DeWalt 14.4V drill tries to spin around in the one holster and seems to want to lean away from my body in the other. With the Bigg Lugg holder, the drill is supported where most of the weight is (at the battery), so it stays close to your body and feels comfortable. With my other holsters, I have to take time to snap the strap over my drill for fear the drill will fall out. With the Bigg Lugg, just drop the drill into the hook and you're done. It stays securely every time. I also use the Bigg Lugg for various other tools. I even used it to hang a small can of paint on my side while painting on a ladder. You're limited by your imagination. The Bigg Lugg Tool Holder is a very simple concept and whoever invented it will get filthy rich off of the idea. However, people like you and I will benefit from its use as well, and that's really what matters. You won't be disappointed.

BIGG LUG TOOL HOLDER
I've been using the tool holder for about 6 months now. Mainly because I'm a lefty, and finding left hand holsters is sometimes a problem. This tool holder works on the left or right side of any tool belt. I like that its compact and light weight and works well with certian tool belt set ups. Where there isn't room for a standard drill holster do to alot of nail pouches. Its easy to access and freely puts the drill in your hand.

The 4 problems I have with it.

1) It catches on everything when a tool is not in it. The design shape is a hook. And that is exactly what it does! On everything in its path. Even when folded to side.

2) Once hooked it bends out of shape. Easy to fix but a constant problem reshaping it.

3) The tool dangles free, allowing drill bits or screw tips to do damage. Where standard drill holsters hold the drill close to your side.

4) The tool comes out of the holder at times. Climing ladders, bending over, running etc. Damaging drill bits and tips as well as the home owners floors.

I will continue to use it but being mindfull of the home owners property and my surroundings at all times with tool holder. But dont think I would buy another. Also a little price for what it is, a hook with a belt clip. Perhapes some of the problems could be fix by the manufacture but would probably be more trouble to use then.

Damn handy product
An excellent addition to my tool belt. Incredibly handy, way less cumbersome than drill "holsters". I like that I can pop it off and move it to another belt with ease. Can't wait for the Big Lugg 2....

great for holding your cordless drill
i owned a holster for my cordless drill and was fighting to get the drill in and out every time. i bought the big lugg tool holder and threw away my holster. i own 2 now and don't wear a toolbelt anymore.

Overpriced, poor quality
Simply put, this belt hook isn't worth the retail price. It does hold virtually any tool, as advertised, BUT:

1. When not in use, the belt hook continually snags on objects. Even if you fold it in, it works its way out and becomes an annoyance.

2. The wire hook that holds your $200+ cordless tool bends rather easily when snagged, and can result in a dropped tool.

3. The cheap plastic swivel and rivet arrangement that transfers all of the weight of the tool from the wire hook to the spring steel belt clip BREAKS easily.

All in all, this clip is NOT recommended. The versatility is nice, but the quality of construction/materials and overall performance just don't make it. ... Read more

BRAVO!!!
Thank God somebody finally designed a drill holster that actually WORKS!!!

This is the first one I've ever used that: 1. held my drill securely even while I was climbing ladders and scrunched up in all sorts of excruciating positions (my Craftsman holster let the drill slip out as soon as I walked fast!), 2. never once ever caused the drill bit to catch my pant legs, and 3. is not difficult to pull out or put in the drill.

Other bonuses: really thoughtful design, plenty of pockets for driver bits, even a nice hammer loop, nylon material is light yet strong and doesn't stain your pants unlike some allegedly "top grain" leather holsters.

Great for the homeowner or professional
A well-designed piece of equipment for anyone who ever carries a cordless drill on the job. It keeps the tool securely held and readily available for use. The pouch angles the drill or driver bits away from the wearer's leg, so they don't catch or poke while climbing or moving around. It can be worn either right or left-handed with equal convenience and access to the tool.

Very Useful
I love Dewalt tools. This is one durable puppy. I found its very useful when i'm climbing a ledder or some scoffolding. I don't have to worry about carrying my drill too. If you don't need your drill it is also useful for storing large items that you need. I've used mine to put door shims in many a time. All in all a great investment.

Best for small tools.
Great tool carrier. I put it on when I start work and leave it on all day. So comfortable I forget to take it off. Not bulky or heavy. Keeps hand tools handy without putting on another tool belt.A lot of pockets for such a small thing.

Held up well for mechanic!
It's a great item for my mechanic husband, it saves his pants pockets from getting holes in them from his wrenches & screwdrivers. It took him a couple of days to get used to it, but now wears it every day at work. UPDATE: my husband wears this daily at work, filled with his tools. No area showed any sign of wear after 2 years of constant use. His screwdriver finally wore a hole through the pocket and we purchased another one. Got a great 2 1/2 years of use out of this!

electrician
Im a service electrician, so i do small jobs all day long and in between im in the truck driving to the next job ,so i put tools on, put tools away all day long. I got tired of putting holes in my back pockets by carring screw drivers ect.. my regular tool pouch is big and hangs on my belt so it was too much of a pain to undo my belt when i arrive and then again when i leave. This baby solved that problem. I ended up using it in my front pocket, more comfortable and excessable. It did wear out in 8 mo.'s so im ordering a new one. if they beefed up the bottom of pouch so screwdrivers wouldn't eventually pop through i'd give it 5 stars.

I like the pouch but it wore out too fast
Excellent pouch for electricians who usually put there pliars & screwdriver in back pocket. You can fit pliers,strippers,2 screwdrivers& tester. Downside; it only lasted about 6 months.

Won't work for T handle or small drills
although the construction is impecable the holster really needs a leg belt to stay stable, also the pouch will not work well with t handle drills like a milwaukee, or small drills like 7.2 volt B&D. works greak with dewalt, but thats it as far as i can tell, better off buying the hook...

Perfect complement to the Bucket Boss tool belt
I recently reviewed the Bucket Boss Builder's Rig, and was overwhelmed with the versatility and comfort of their tool belt. The Drill Holster is a natural addition to the tool belt, and easily slips on the belt in place of (or in addition to) any of the pockets on the belt.

This holster fits my Porter Cable 14.4 drill with NO problems, and the balance is darn near perfect. Kudos to Bucket Boss for providing a bit of padding on the inside of the pocket as well.

Bucket Boss Holster 1st
I like everthing about this item. I was especially pleased with the small pockets, how convenient to have your bits and some screws at your side. I do, however, wish this holster had a leg strap. It tends to roll backward somewhat. But, would I buy another one, you bet I would. Thanks, Dennis Odom

A great tool belt accessory
Lightweight and effective. Works very well with drills up to 14.4 volts. Larger drills do not balanced well. If you use your drill on a regular basis, you will like having this holster.

The best holster you can buy
I agree , this is better than any other available holsters. It does protect your leg. Thats in itself makes it superior. In addition you get extra storage in the side pockets. Kind of like having a mini bucket boss right there in front of your tool bags. It's still not secure enough for me though. I hate when my drills take a dive. They get dropped enough as it is. Who has the patience to strap a drill in every time they use it? I've been on a lot of jobs and have seen hundreds of drills in holsters. I've seen about two that were actually strapped in.The only holder I trust completely is the Prazi Big Lugg. It is far superior for keeping your drill stuck to your side. Just drop it in and you're good to go. Bend over, lay down , jump , It doesn't matter. It's still there. Impossible with a holster. So I have mixed feeling about this product. Best lefty
This is by far the best left-handed holster I have used. The thick padding of the holster keeps the drill securly in place even without the strap. The bit pockets are very handy for pencils(or even screws) as well as bits. Bucket Boss somehow made this durable, comfortable, holster better and cheaper than any other holster I've seen.

The strap to hold you drill in has only one position and it needs more to hold all drills securely. A strap with velcro would solve this problem.

Quick Draw
This holster is handy anytime or anywhere you do lots of drilling or driving. It's also great when you're on a ladder and don't have enough hands. It saves time by keeping your tools right there where you need them. I've used it with cordless and corded tools when hanging electrical boxes and running wire through studs, hanging drywall, and siding work. I like the snapping strap to secure the tool when you're busy with something else. It has slots to hold extra bits and extensions, too. However, I found it works best with smaller drills. I tried this holster on my belt with my big 19.2V PorterCable hammer/drill/driver and it about jerked the pants right off me. It wasn't quite big enough to keep that heavy tool from tipping back and out of the holster. Instead, I use it with a large leather tool belt to put around my middle and that worked out much better by balancing the drill while it hangs. At any rate, I now have no trouble with trying to find a place to set my drills and drivers when doing working in difficult places. And the holster is good for holding other tools too. best of its kind
I couldn't find this holster locally, so Amazon was kind enough to accomodate my needs. This is a nice one, Good size for 14 or 18 volt drills, comfortable against the leg, and a nice holddown strap. I especially like the 'extension' on the bottom, which is designed to protect your leg from a bit. Very smart design. Even with a rapid load in the chuck it still protects the leg. Worth every penny!
As a contractor, I depend on my tools and the things that carry them for a living, day in and day out.

This Dewalt ballistic nylon pouch cost about double what I would've paid for some generic pouches at Home Depot and Lowes but has made my job a whole heck of a lot easier. For one thing, it's top quality ballistic nylon is definitely thicker and better constructed, and its roomy size, double front nail pockets, and well-thought out tool slots and hammer loops make both organizing and accessing my tools a breeze. Plus it comes in a professional-looking and attractive black and yellow color, much better than the random reds greens and browns you find in most hardware stores.

Nylon is also much better than leather in that it will not sweat and stain your pants; I've having to throw away a fairly expensive Craftsman leather pouch because it always turned my pants brown!

I'm not nearly as sold on their power tools, but their accessories (I also got the drill holster and driver guide) have been more than worth their premium prices!

Solves a problem very well
Most pouches don't come with a good place for a square and the darn things are always falling out or poking you in the ribs or something. This scabbard is well made and clips onto a pants pocket with a metal clip or it can be slid onto the belt using the loops on the back of the scabbard. The extra pouch and pencil slots are nice too. The material looks nice and is very resistant to wear, damage and fluids. I heartily reccomend it if you carry a sqaure often.

End user in mind.
After getting tired of scraping knuckles in a large pouch, tearing holes in pants pockets, and trying other products, I have found a product that works. The scabbord does just what it says. A left handed model would make this a 5 star product. It's functional, easy to find your square/tape/pencil without having to look all of the time. It's also very durable, a definite PLUS. As a hobbyist, I look for products that will give me a lifetime of service, easy to work with, versitile, and dependable. The Layout Square Scabbord does all of this. I'm very pleased with this product.

Compact and lightweight
Being a do-it-yourselfer, I have not yet invested in one of those "everything" tool belts. Thus far, I have always just stuffed my speed square in the biggest available pocket, and then pushed it out of the way when I needed something else in the same pocket. This speed square scabbard makes all the difference. It is compact and lightweight, yet it is extremely durable. And it frees up some extra space in my tool belt! Works like a champ.
Bought this item for dear old pappy. He loves it! Easy in, easy out. When straped in the phone stays put! The large steel belt hook has a serious bit and will not slide off untill you take it off. Now, I need to buy a cell phone for my self and get another one of these for me!

This is a functional phone pouch! The phone comes out of the pouch when you need it. Ever try to get one of those clip on pouches on or off your belt when your hands are full or your working? With this one the phone comes right out of the pouch and your not trying to see the buttons and screen through shiny plastic. Excellent for Oversized Safety Glasses
Very Spacious, Overbuilt and Excellent product from Bucket Boss. It isn't one of those silly, flimsy things you get at the eye doctor when you get new prescriptions. It IS too big for only one pair of prescription glasses. But for what it was made for, oversized SAFETY GLASSES, this item is excellent. And actually I place a pair of prescription glasses AND a set of clip on sunglasses to fit them in this pouch. Nice, soft, non scratch interior and rugged BB canvas outside. At the end of the day, I replace those with my safety glasses back into the case.
The metal clip works well on your hip or I also place mine inside my Bucket Boss.

Safety Glasses Pouch
This pouch takes any size of safety glasses, with side bellows and adjustable velco closure. Completely padded on the inside, your glasses will never get scratched. I don't use the belt clip, instead I push it onto one of the outside pockets of my tool bag. The stainless steel clip is so deep and so strong, it doesn't get pushed off like my tape measure which is constantly getting left behind. It looks great, too; matches my Pro GateMouth bag.
