Works realy good until bearings wear out.
Using to increase water pressure from irrigation source for lawn sprinkling. I used it about 40 hours last year and about the same this year. It started making bearing noises the last 20 hours and finally slowed down and started smoking from heat.

I installed a Simer 5020 like this (plastic base) in 1989 and it is still pumping in 2004. It's just now beginning to rattle, so I'm looking for another one. I get LOTS of water all year around, so it gets a lot of use.
