5-0 out of 5 stars CUT THE ELECTRIC CORD
AS A CABINET INSTALLER A MITER SAW IS A MUST. BOSCH'S 10" 24 VOLT COMPOUND MITER SAW IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO CUT THROUGH 6" HARD WOOD FILLERS AND 4-1/2" CROWN MOLDING WITH NO PROBLEMS. THE LIGHT WEIGHT AND PORTABILITY OF THIS SAW MAKES IT GREAT FOR PICKUP WORK. ONE BATTERY WILL LAST ALL DAY AND INTO THE NEXT. THE VARIOUS ACCESSERIES AVAILABLE MAKE THIS SAW COMPARABLE TO THE BOSCH 10" ELECTRIC.THIS SAW HAS THE BIGGEST BLADE AND LARGEST BATTERY CAPACITY OF ANY CORDLESS ON MARKET TODAY FOR THE PRICE. GOOD JOB BOSCH.

5-0 out of 5 stars no cord? no worries
I have all the 24 volt bosch stuff and love them so I tried this saw. At first I was a bit concerned, after all a cordless miter saw?, 900+ sqft of heart pine floring later, I was convinced, I had only charged the batteries once! 900+ sqft on 2 batteries! Now I leave my other Bosch 10" slider and DeWalt 12" chop at home. This saw is so light and powerful you'll be addicted. The only thing I questioned was the price...Did I really need to go cordless? This is my list of projects that convinced me this tool was worth the extra money: our deck, the boat house, gazeebo, pickett fences, tree house, and work around our cabin. All cordless I love this saw!

2-0 out of 5 stars This saw is way too expensive
Look. This saw is way, way too expensive. If you need an extra 24 volt battery and charger, just buy them. With the money left over you could also buy a better corded miter saw and an oversized circular saw to boot. Even then, you would still have enough money left over to celebrate feeling so good about your wise choices.

5-0 out of 5 stars What cord?
Used this saw for about a year. I love this thing. Great for every carpentry job. It has plenty of balls. Lightweight. Nothing bad to say.

I am not sure why Amazon only gave Donald 1 battery. I have sold over 30 of these saws through Amazon and they all have had 2 batteries. Donald, Amazon should allow you to return the item and get your money back. I would be glad to sell you a saw with 2 batteries, however my saw only has 1 blade. My saws can no longer be listed under this model number, so look under model 3924K. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth the money
These are what drill bits should be, they are straight and sharp. I was using my drill press when tired them. First on wood, they started where I wanted, no skipping, cut clean, both entry and exit, true, with out deflection, and with such ease from the smallest to the largest in softwood or hardwood. This wasn't love but it was a thrill I was totally satisfied right then but I had to try metal. The same results I don't work with Stainless or Titanium. These bits are a real pleasure. These are the most expensive set of Drill Bits that I have ever purchased I'm sorry I spent so much money on cheaper bits. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Had we known about this gizmo when we put down new entryway tiles, our entryway would have a nicer, more professional-looking floor. What a terribly clever contraption this is. It will work superbly for any type of surface installation, not just ceramic tile. When applying self-stick tiles, vinyl flooring, linoleum, wood, laminate, stone, or any other material requiring precise layout, the Angle Wiz will eliminate installation nightmares. It's as simple as can be to use: the swinging head lines up with the obstacle to be cut around; just transfer the markings to your material and cut. Six grout bars varying in size from a 1/2 inch to an 1/8 inch are included. The cherry on top is a video that guides even the most dubious do-it-yourselfer through a handful of projects. You'll learn to prepare a surface, remove a toilet, mix and apply thinset, mark and cut tile, and grout and seal surfaces. We really like this gadget and won't do another floor without it. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must Have Tool for Tile Installation...Awesome
I am a 53 year old female and until recently I had never installed tile, as a matter of fact, I had never even seen tile installed. I wanted to tile my entry way, hall ways, kitchen and bathrooms. I priced the tile I wanted, then I had an installer give me a quote to lay it for me... after the shock wore off from the installers outrageous quote, I decided to do my own tile installation. I saw the AngleWIZ on Amazon.com and noticed that it comes with a HOW TO INSTALL TILE video. The video was an excellent tutorial for a novice like me. It showed me everything I needed to know, from how to prepare the floors before installation, and how to do a dry tile layout so all the perimeter cuts were even and the visual effect of my new tile was what I wanted...it even showed me how to remove the toilet, how to tile under it (I would have just tiled around the toilet not thinking how bad it would look or even worse, what I would have done if I had to remove the toilet at a later date. The video also showed me how to replace the toilet and put in a new wax ring a stud extenders. This is one of the best "HOW TO" videos I have seen, it made the job simple and easy to understand...and the guy on the video was cute! The AngleWIZ is an amazingly simple tool to use. The AngleWIZ made measuring the tiles I had to cut around the perimeter of the rooms easy and fast...I cut every one of them perfect the first time, it even calculated the grout space for me. I'm telling you, the AngleWIZ is idiot proof! I can't even imagine how I would have measured the cuts in my octagonal shaped entry way...and some of the cuts I had to make in the kitchen and bathrooms, forget about it!! Many of these cuts would have been impossible to get perfect without the AngleWIZ. The AngleWIZ paid for itself several times over in tile I would have wasted due to bad cuts, not to mention the time and frustration it saved me. This is truly one of the best tools I have ever used. I read what one of the negative reviewers said about the AngleWIZ and it is so obvious that he never used the AngleWIZ (after reading his review again closely, he admitted that he had never used it) because it was an absolute Godsend for me. I would never have been able to do the professional job I did without the AngleWIZ. This is one AWESOME TOOL AND A MUST HAVE FOR ANY TILE INSTALLATION.

5-0 out of 5 stars What A Great Tool
...this is one amazing little tool. The Angle WIZ made my diagonal ceramic tile installation a breeze. It was simple and easy to use and made perfect measurements, I would have wasted many hours and lots of $'s on tile without it. I don't think I threw away any tile due to a bad measurement. I also found the video very helpful, I was expecting the video that came with the tool to show me how to use the Angle WIZ but was pleasantly surprized to find it shows you everything you need to know to lay tile, how to layout the room, prepare the floor, even shows you how to remove and replace the toilet properly, a must see for the novice installer. All in all I found the Angle WIZ to be one of the neatest tools I have ever purchased. Good job Amazon, this is one great tool.

Sharyl, you should be ashamed of yourself. These reviews are for consumer input only. It is obvious "Sharyl" is not some little old lady from Arizona. My guess is that Sheryl is a twenty something hired gun. Most likely some young man with a fine arts degree or a literature background. I say this because the review reads like pure fiction. Five stars?!? For a forty dolar plastic ruler?! Could you have toned down the rhetoric a little? Its really too bad. This is just one more aspect of our culture where one must sort through the crap to get to the truth.

1-0 out of 5 stars Rip off
I saw this on clearance at Lowes or Home Depot several years
ago. I bought it for like 7.00. I was shocked to see it for
nearly 40.00.
It is very flimsy and I never used it. I just chucked mine
in the trash. You would do better getting a geometry book
and brushing up on that then bothering with this thing.
I laid over 900 sq feet of tile in my house and never needed
this thing.
Nothing like thinking about what you are going to do and making
a plan using simple straight edges and chalk lines.

There is a laser guide that is now available and would be more
useful than this.

I rate 1 star for the price. It is a sub 10.00 item. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Rousseau Base Plate
Not a lot to say about this product. It is made of very solid material and is very easy to install. Getting the router centered on the plate is the hardest part of the install and this was made easy by the circle marks on the bottom of the plate. All you have to do is find the set of circles that is the same size as your router base and clamp or tape it down.

I would have given this product a 5, but the center rings are a little difficult to remove. I like to use the plate just as much out of the table as in so i am ordering another to install on my second router.

4-0 out of 5 stars Rosseau router plate
I had some trouble getting my router centered in the plate. However, I found a way to overcome this: If it is a Porter Cable, collapse the router base all the way down until the base plate engages the collet nut. The nut will serve to center itself within the inner base plate removable rings. Sandwich the OEM router base plate between the router base and the new base plate. Use double sided tape to hold it in place. Now the OEM plate and the Rosseau plate should be stuck together. Set the unit up in a drill press and the OEM plate will have the holes located fairly close. Good luck!

5-0 out of 5 stars Centering a Bosch router is easy
Bosch 1613 and 1619 routers (and probably others) have clearance holes for mounting to a Bosch table. You can drill the Rousseau insert plate using the circle patterns on the underside at those locations to get reasonably close to center, mount the router with 10-24 machine screws and nylok nuts, and center it using a Porter-Cable 1/4 inch template insert and a 1/4 inch drill rod chucked in the router. Snug up the mounting screws and you're done.

The plate fits very well, although it is JUST large enough for the 1619 without rotating it on the insert. I did use the Rousseau template to cut the hole and rabbet the edge; you can make your own using the instructions with the insert, but for $14-15 it didn't seem worth the time.

2-0 out of 5 stars It's OK but its not flat.
Its actually pretty wavy. Received mine about 2 weeks ago and setting up a table for it. The surface has waves in it about 0.01 - 0.02 in depth. I was hoping for better. I may chuck it and start over.

5-0 out of 5 stars Installation tip makes the Rousseau plate even better
I wanted to add to my other review. I must admit, the installation tip that I am about to discuss, I discovered by from installing the Bench Dog RT-250 router extension table. It is the way Bench Dog does their installation. The great idea is to use melamine screws, which have flat ends, and coarse threads to make an adjustable platform for the Rousseau plate to sit on. Ok, let me ramble.
The problem is trying to rout out the opening, at precisely the proper depth, so the plate is perfectly flush with the top. A little too deep and you have a valley. A little proud, and you have a ridge to run into, and run the risk of your workpiece coming to a halt. So what to do? Rout out a 1/16" or 1/8" deeper than is necessary. Then drill holes a little smaller than the melamine screw size all around the outside lip. Since melamine screws are not tapered, the threads are the same size for the full length of the shaft. You can look up melamine screws here at Amazon with a search. They refer you to McFeeleys, which is a great business, with instant service, and a full array of screws and fasteners. Much more variety than the usual home centers. They have a box of 50 available. Ok so what is the big deal about using the melamine screws? This is it, by using the screws with the flat tips, screwed in from underneath, all around the circumference, you wind up with a fine adjust system for getting the Rousseau plate, perfectly level with the table top. Combining that with the four countersunk holes in each of the corners for securing the top, you get an incredibly adjustable platform for the Rousseau top. I used 14 melamine screws, equally balanced around the circumference. It enabled me to fine adjust the plate so well, that I was able to completely eliminate the ever so slight crown in the plate. Although I did attach it to a wide base plunge router, which I am sure contributed to the leveling.
Since the adjusting screws are now the contact point for the base, you are now given a lot more freedom in routing the opening. For one, you don't have to rout up to the edge all the way around. You can rout to just one depth, and for example create 45 degree angle corner shelves under the plate, thereby creating greater overall stability of the greater table.
This melamine screw installation is not exclusive to new installations, it can be easily done with an already installed plate. That way if you are dealing with a small dip on any edge, it can be easily corrected.
I thank Bench Dog for turning me on to this installation method, and to Rousseau for making such a great router plate. Once you install any manufacturers router plate using melamine screws for adjustability, you will never want to do it any other way. Hope this helps. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Seems to struggle...
I've had this saw for about a year now and it I'm very dissapointed with it. It behaves as if the saw doesn't have enough power. As I'm cutting, the saw gets bogged down almost everytime I cut something substantial. I'm not talking about oak or any other hardwoods here, just regular old 2X4's! I'm stuck with it now, but wish I had bought the skil after hearing the raves about it. My old refurbished skil I bought for $29 in high school(1984) is still far superior and now this one sits and collects dust. If you're thinking blade, I tried that, doesn't seem to matter.
Good luck with whatever you decide upon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Handy and hard working
I bought my Saw Boss back in 1995 to use while restoring a condemned house we bought in North Carolina. I can't imagine the number of boards I've cut with it. When used on a bench it cut through every piece of wood with ease, as long as I used blades that hadn't already been used to cut through TOO many nails. The reduced power (when compared to a 7 1/4 saw) was a major asset when I had to use the saw in awkward positions cutting away bits of old house. The saw would bog down before anything seriously dangerous happened. Being light, the saw could be used in a vertical position to cut through wall boards, and I even used it overhead with ease. The saw did not have a safety interlock which would have made it impossible to use for some of the cuts I needed to make. I don't know if the newer saws do, but I doubt it since this saw is designed for professionals. I, also, have some complaints with the stamped metal base, but in its favor, I dropped the saw from the roof of the porch once and bent the plate and was able to hammer it back into shape. An aluminum plate would surely have broken.
My point is, this saw really shines when used for construction and remodeling work, for making repeated cuts in a number of awkward positions. You don't get worn out just lugging the saw around. This is a perfect outdoor tool, even coming equipped with an extra-long cord. I can't speak for the shop, since in there I generally use my Dewalt chop box or Jet table saw.

5-0 out of 5 stars I hauled around a worm drive
Back when I framed I hauled around a SkillSaw worm drive. As soon as I could I sold it to someone younger and stronger. I have known 2 people that framed their houses with the Saw Boss. I just finished building my shop with this and I still like it. If you have to get on the roof with a saw you sould have this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lightweight but does the job.
The saw is well worth its price. It will rip through PT without slowing down. One of the reasons that I bought it was because the blade is on the left side of the motor and I really like that feature. The blade's cut is visable without craning my neck. The angle and depth for the blade adjustment are a snap to use and changing the blade is easy enough too. The little sawdust shoot has clogged up a couple of times, but it was simple and quick to remove and clean out. I am a woman, so the weight of the saw was an important detail. This saw handles beautifully. It is lightweight, but does the job.

4-0 out of 5 stars Yow!
Nice little saw. MUCH easier to handle than my 7.25" B&D. I don't miss the difference in cutting depth since I really only cut sheet goods and 2x4's with it. The thin kerf blade really zips through 3/4" plywood with little tearing. The stamped sheet metal base is a little wimpy--would have preferred cast aluminum--but it works fine, really. All adjustments are easy and precise. The dust collection pipe works well, too. I would buy it again. Minus one star for the base--picky, picky. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Just plain junk
I purchased a set of these chisels and I wish I hadn't. They are very poorly machined and the metal is very weak. I am seriously thinking about taking all six chisels and throwing them in the trash, box and all. They are no where close to being flat on the back. And to be honest there just not worth the two hours or better you will take to lap the back. Anyone thinking of bying these chisels should just save there money. I here Lie-Neilsen is comeing out with high quailty set. For all of those people(myself included) a word of advice, don't by cheap tools save your money and by somthing that will last. It will be cheaper in the long run!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Value
I agree with the reviewer below that these chisels are a good value. Using the Veritas sharpening jig and flat Arkansas stones, I have been able to get a good edge on these chisels. Like most chisels, they will require sharpening out of the box to get a truly sharp edge. These are not high quality Japanese woodworking chisels (which cost about three times as much), but properly sharpened they will be serviceable for all but the most demanding woodworkers.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Starter Set - But skip the box
These are my first set of chisels - I don't know how much I'll use them, so I want to keep the purchase cost reasonable. They arrived with an o.k. edge, but needed a little cleanup. The handles feel really solid. As for the box, well I really like to keep my stuff organized, so I like to get promo sets that come with cases - but this box was pretty [...]...The clasp on the front doesn't latch and the inside is just a flimsy molded polystyrene insert(same plastic they make disposable cold drink cups out of). I recommend getting one of the other sets without the box and either hanging them on pegboard or putting them in a toolbox drawer.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cheap chisels
Don't be fooled. This chisels are not worth their price. I was given a set two years ago. I never used them until three months ago. I was using my old reliable set. I took this chisels out of the box and went to hone them. Come to find out, the still is severly deformed. The facets are totally out of place and you can not get a smooth bevel on them---There's NO WAY you could double bevel these. I reground them myself to as square as possible. No sooner than I did that, the half inch chisel started breaking the corners! I did not blue the steel as I use a Tormek sharpening system. Plus, I was using them without a mallet---by hand! Cheap metal, cheap craftsmanship, poor quality!

4-0 out of 5 stars Husband's Gift
I bought this as a gift. He thinks they are of good quality. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars no more sore hands
I have a boat restoration business and do alot of caulking with very thick materials. For years I have used an air driven gun but no more. This far exceeds my expectations. ONly down side is heavier than an air gun, but no hose to worry about dragging in wet caulk on teak decks, battery holds a good charge and comes with a universal (milwaukee) charger. You can also buy a 14 volt battery for a 2nd one at Home Depot, and works with gun and charger.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice gun !!!
You can not beat this new generation Milwaukee caulking gun for smoothness, power, long battery life, and designed -- it begs to be used ! I manage a Autoglass shop and my guys pump high viscosity urethane all day, any other gun would be punished to the max, not this one! I have used the older 2.4 volt Milwaukee guns for years and was happy, the 12 volt is 100 times better yet!

5-0 out of 5 stars unbelievable
I'am the owner of a auto glass shop and have used many types of battery and air caulking guns. This is the first one that you can fill the power of the gun. For pumping urethane this gun has the most power and control I have ever used. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a every day hammer
If i am doinging demo or finish.this is the only hammer i use .the contoly is not matched by any other .i my self, cut a couple of inches out of the handle.the magnet on the top is also great for picking things up that you have droped in hard to reach places. I have had mine for couple of years and have not broken a handle yet.the in side radis is great foe rounding over corner.stillrto is the only thing i swing

1-0 out of 5 stars GET THIS HAMMER OFF MY THUMB
When i heard about the smooth faced, titanium platformed, double sided duel X head, with a curved handle and a seal of approvel by the H.A.H.A (Hardware assocation hammer analysist) i told my friend ted, I HAVE TO GET THIS, but once i got home from thet there local hardware store and tried it out on my newest project, a fence to keep them cows from running around loosy goosy all day long, the 25 oz. proved to be to light for my liking and then i smacked my thumb so hard boy golly did it hurt, ma came out to have a look see and them scientific doctors had another look see, they be saying i got myself a broken thumb and now i had to stop building my fence so them cows are just all over them place. 25 oz. is just crazy back in the day they would be at least a 36 oz. what were they thinking?

3-0 out of 5 stars Had to try it!
After hearing the titanium hype for over a year, I had to get one. After using it for a couple of months, I havn't had any problems. It still takes a few more hits to drive larger nails. I like my 25oz. steel hammer for heavy framing. I like using the Stilletto for white pine and sheet goods. It sure is a conversation piece on the job sites, but probably not worth the extra money(at least to me).

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun to Swing
After using this hammer every day for a few weeks, I don't ever want to pick up that famous blue handled hammer I used to swing! Despite the handle coming loose soon after I started using it, I still wouldn't give it up. (A quick call to the manufacturer and a new handle was on its way at no cost to me) The magnetic slot to start nails with is the envy of the rest of the crew at work. I thought it was kinda gimmicky at first but not anymore. This is a great product. I hope you find the review helpful in making the pricey investment. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Bosch's Brute Tough line of cordless drill/drivers are designed and built from the inside out to offer the most power and durability possible. At the heart of this drill is a Bosch-built unibody power train that contains the motor, gearbox, and clutch in one contiguous unit for durability and the best alignment possible. The two-speed gearbox has large all-metal gears for strength, and offers a whopping 450 inch-pounds of torque in high-torque mode and up to 1,300 rpm in high-speed mode. The 14.4-volt motor has built-in overload protection and externally replaceable brushes to help extend its life. The drill also has a steel-reinforced collar to protect it in the event that it's dropped on the chuck. While we don't recommend dropping your tools off one-story buildings, Bosch claims this one can stand the abuse and keep working. The final layer of protection for the drill is its flexible ABS/nylon-blend Duracell housing that protects the insides without cracking or shattering on impact. The drill also features a a strong, reliable grip and a 1/2-inch ratcheting chuck with carbide teeth for one-handed bit changes. This model comes with two batteries, a one-hour charger, a bit holder, a snap hook, and a carrying case. --Brian Trinen ... Read more

  • Ratcheting 1/2? single-sleeve chuck with carbide teeth for one handed operation
  • Unibody powertrain maintains alignment between clutch, gearbox, and motor for maximum durability

3-0 out of 5 stars Tough, but lousy battery life.
I love Bosch tools and highly recommend their table saw, saber saw and routers. It was because of their durability and precision that I bought the Bosch 14.4 when my 12 volt Porter Cable finally conked out. While the Bosch performed admirably under very heavy loads, its battery life was very disappointing. Under heavy use of drilling and driving screws, I'd get an hour or so before having to switch batteries. My buddy with the Panasonic runs all day without switching a battery (even after dropping it off a four story roof - twice). The toughness and convenient carrying case are great aspects of the Bosch, it never smoked or conked out, but I recommend the Panasonic or Porter Cable as better tools.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Cordless Drill
After using a Dewalt 18V XRP drill kit for a few projects, I was unsatisfied with the overall quality and performance. So I began my search for another quality cordless drill and ended up with this Bosch. I'm completely satisfied with the quality - the shell is very rugged, the chuck is 1st class, adjustable clutch, tons of torque (!), and battery is very securely attached (a problem with the Dewalt).

This is a first rate drill. I'm completely satisfied and would purchase it again.

5-0 out of 5 stars A real Pleasure!!!!
All I have to say is that this drill is simply awesome!! I've used many other drills before, but this one takes the cake! you can feel the durability by just holding it. The fun really starts when you use it...tons of torque for any job! you can't go wrong, good luck!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Drill!!!
I considered the Dewalt comparable drill, but it was a little more expensive. However I'am glad I bought the Bosch, very rugged and durable, nice torque and power, the case is very well laid out with a little case for extra bits, nice metal buckles and oh yea, caps for the battery packs!!If you are considering any other drill look no further buy the Bosch. One downside, the drill is a little heavy, but that just adds to its ruggedness....Happy drilling!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Drill
Long lasting batteries. Great trigger control. Nice clutch with racheting feature. Overall a very solid dependable tool. A great bargain and head and tails above the comparable DeWalt. I would only buy this tool or a Milwaukee. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Powered by a burly 15 amp motor, Porter-Cable's new 10-inch slidingcompound miter saw is winning the industry over. The saw's remarkably smoothslide action lets you glide easily--and precisely--through trim cuts, while thesaw's big motor hungrily powers through larger work pieces. Also, thanks to thewell-designed slide, this saw has the miter capacity to handle a two-by-twelveat 90 degrees and a four-by-four at 45 degrees. You can also miter up to 57degrees right and 48 degrees left, which comes in handy if you're working on acustom deck that features some tight angles.

Porter-Cable definitely put some time into the details of this saw. The railsslide underneath the saw's table, instead of above, which ought to betterprotect them, especially when you're transporting the saw. The tool also has abig table that gives plenty of support space for workpieces, making it easier tohold them securely in place when cutting. There's an electric brake (all mitersaws should have one), and the blade guard retracts smoothly. The D-handledesign makes the saw comfortable to operate with either your right or left hand, which is convenient considering the wide range of cuts you're likely to make. The work clamp makes it easy to hold pieces in place, keeping your fingers awayfrom the blade. We really like how the saw's base can mount on the edge oftwo-by-fours, creating a quick job site stand. Very clever.

A single onboard wrench makes all the adjustments, including blade changes. Thefence on this Porter-Cable is easily adjusted--in case it gets knocked out ofalignment. It's true, a guy could really rave about this saw for quite a while. The miter and bevel gauges are great, with embossed marks stamped into stainlesssteel, so it'll be just as easy to dial in the exact cut three years into thefuture as when you first take the tool out of the box (no chintzy stickers orattached plates here). The stainless-steel detents won't ever develop slop, either. Bevels are also easy to set. The three-wing screw lock is sturdy andholds tight, and there's good tension in the unlocked position--so the motor iseasy to move (it doesn't just flop over) when you're setting bevels. --JonGroebner ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Best Saw on the Planet
I've used a lot of saws and power tools in my day, and after looking at DeWalt, Sears, Bosche, and others, I found the Porter Cable 10" Slider to be the most amazingly accurate and comfortable to use Miter Saw. Don't bother buying any saw unless it slides. This Saw is not light. Degree markers are ON THE MONEY, right out of the box and easily readable. Just use a square to confirm the factory set-up. The rails slide like a hot knife thru butter, and the pull force is just perfect. Try a Freud 80 tooth "Red Blade" for Mill work and you can throw away your sandpaper. This saw ROCKS!!

5-0 out of 5 stars PORTER CABLE 10" Sliding Compound Miter Saw
nicname: Flip, I found this saw to be of exceptional quality.I had alot of good saws to choose from and it was a toss up between this and the Bosch. The Dewalt is a great saw also but the blades are much to expensive if you plan on doing alot of cutting. The blade that comes on the saw is fine for semi finish work but you'll want to invest in a better blade preferably 80teeth and above for fine finish work. The only thing I found wrong was that the extra blade that was sent is for a table saw not a sliding compound miter(different hook on the teeth of the blade). I think whom ever purchases this saw won't regret it.Happy saw dust. :) feel free to drop a line or two

5-0 out of 5 stars Great saw---Wish Amazon sold work clamp seperatly also...
Great saw...Makes accurate fast cuts....Does what it is supposed to do very well.....Amazon is great as always...

I needed a second clamp..I always like to have one on left and right........But Amazon doesn't sell this clamp seperatly...

After some looking around, I did manage to find it at:

Order Porter-Cable Part#: 895376

Hope this helps someone.......

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding saw.
As a trim carpenter I have had the pleasure of using many different saws. This saw is excellent. I did change to a Freud cutoff blade since the type of trim work I do does require fine cuts. It has all the power needed to cut through some of the hardest woods and not bog down. I mounted this saw on a Stable Mate stand with extensions and it fits well. The saw is a little heavy to carry but I am willing to live with it. My congratulations to Porter Cable for a saw well done.

5-0 out of 5 stars Right On
Been using this one for about a year now and it is right on the money. You set it a 45deg. and it's right there without any slop.I have been making both picture frames & doors frames and have not had one stitch of trouble. One thing in the negative, the dust bag is worthless. 90% of the sawdust hits the deck and not the bag. Not a problem big enough that would give a 4 star instead of 5. From what I read it seems to be a problem with most power miter saws. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good for the Pro
This is a great drill, but know what you're getting. It has a big motor but only spins up to 850 rpm (which is 1/3 the speed of a "normal" drill). It's perfect for spade bits and hole saws, but anything else should be left for your light duty drill. I'd recommend it; it's a great tool at a reasonable price.

4-0 out of 5 stars A screamer
This is a great tool for the price . One of my guys bought one. It drills pretty well in any material. Except masonry. It's not so fast that you burn your bits in steel. The torque is quite impressive . More than my Milwaukee Magnum. You could easily hurt yourself with this bad boy. But that means you can use some pretty large bits and hole saws with it. Some times when all your batteries are dead (if you forget to charge them) you need a corded drill just to remember how nice the cordless one are.

5-0 out of 5 stars handy handle
The 360 degree side handle on this drill is so convenient. Most powerful drills are ackward in hard to reach places. The balance and control this drill has is excellent. A good buy. ... Read more
