5-0 out of 5 stars This Kreg kit is one slick setup.
I've used my Kreg kit for several months now. It sure makes a difference in the speed of assembly. I whipped up a router table in no time and a lot of other projects besides. Works great on dimensional lumber too. Used it to make the 2X4 framing for a utility building addition as well as the framing for flooring in my aluminum boat. It's great having everything all packed in the carrying case ready to go. Setup is a snap and sure cuts down on the need for lots of clamps.

5-0 out of 5 stars Holing Wonder!
I bought one of these to make face frames for some kitchen cabinets, but it has gotten a considerable workout in addition to the original project. The kit is very complete and comes in a nice plastic case. There are actually two jigs - the large one that you will need to mount on a board and the small, one hole "Mini Jig" that just gets clamped wherever you need it.

The large jig with the wings is the most useful. It has a built-in clamp to hold the wood securely against the drilling jig. There are three separate guide holes that allow for different spacing of holes. The "wings" are two separate parts that do not connect to the main jig. You will have to screw all three pieces to a piece of 3/4" plywood to get the most use out of it. That leaves a big vacancy in the case if you leave it setup, as I do, but that makes a good place to store additional screws.

The "Mini Jig" is great for those large panels that can't be mounted in the main jig. Just clamp it where you want it and drill the holes.

Depth adjustment is easy with the guide on the "wings." Just lay the special bit in the groove with the bit's shoulder aligned with the thickness of the material you are screwing to. Slide the stop collar on the bit shaft until it is against the side of the wing and tighten. You can't make an error. It does pay to check the collar every now and then to make sure it has not slipped. If you over drill, you will be going through the face side of your work with the screws.

I use this in place of biscuits in many cases, but don't throw out the biscuit joiner yet! On long, edge-joined pieces, it is helpful to throw in a few biscuits for alignment between the screws, not gluing them if you want to make it a "knock-down" cabinet.

I used to think I was pretty slick with a drill, cutting an occasional pocket hole freehand. That just is not as precise or repeatable as the results you will get with this jig. I would highly recommend adding this outfit to your shop - you will get more and better results! Oh, and do order some extra screws - you WILL have a use for them!

5-0 out of 5 stars Kreg Pro Pack is great!
I recently purchased the Kreg K2000 Pro Pack. I had been using a generic pocket hole jig, and after setting up and using my new Kreg jig I can say there is no comparison. The Kreg jig is a slick set up. It made it easy to drill clean pocket holes. Also, use the Kreg screws. The Kreg screws easily bore into the wood, and so far I've had no problem with wood splitting. In fact a friend who is a carpenter was impressed when I showed him a project and he learned that I didn't have to drill a pilot hole in the receiving piece of oak. He was impressed that there was no splitting. This seems to be a really nice tool set.

5-0 out of 5 stars Save time and labor
Don't be afraid to give this joint maker a try, you will be suprised how fast and easy you can make perfect joints. I just built an entire set of kitchen cabinets using the kreg pro, and it more than paid for itself in time and labor and frustration. Very easy to use. Great tool.

5-0 out of 5 stars great joint maker
This is great tool for making easy joints, I have used them in outdoor tables where I don't want the joints to show. I am finding more and more uses for this product every day. The set up is easy and it really make a strong joint in seconds.
I have just completed a pie safe and the inside joints were made even beter with the plugs. They seem to disapear after sanding and finishing. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One half the price of the Little Giant
As a contractor, I use a lot of ladders.

COSCO was the first to clone the Little Giant Ladder about five years ago. Apparently, Little Giant's patent was still in force for the hinges. I own the COSCO 17FT Worlds Greatest Ladder and used it for a couple of years, but I needed something longer.

In January 2002, I purchased the Type 1 22 FT Little Giant from Amazon.com. The only difference was the hinges and a few annoying braces in the climbing area of the two narrow extension pieces of the COSCO. The COSCO is made in Korea. The Little Giant is made in USA. Both functions flawlessly to this day.

I found the Little Giant cloned at Home Depot as the Gorrila Brand ladder at Home Depot. $99 for the 13 ft model and $199 for a 21 ft model. The ladder is essentially a China made copy of the Type 1A Little Giant.

My last purchase is the MT-13 Werner. It appears to be another clone of the Little Giant Type 1A, also made in China, probably by the same company that makes the Gorilla. I know this, because both brands include a bonus set of brackets for making the scaffolding with an almost identical blow molded polyethylene case. The brackets are identical and marked Patent Pending.

I would recommend the MT-13 and the MT-17 in the Werner Brand, but I still prefer the Little Giant in the 22 ft model. It is a lighter by five pounds than the 22ft Werner but cost about $130 more.

Since all of the original Little Giant patents have expired, the hinges on the Gorilla and Werner models are identical to the Little Giant.

Of all of the models, the MT-17 would be ideal for most home owners. It will go to the second floor window of a two story house. The 22ft model will go to the roof of a two story house, but only for one with a slab foundation, not one with a basement or a crawl space.

The 17 FT model is a good balance between weight size and function. The best deal would be the Werner MT-17. The quality of materials and assembly of all the models appear nearly equal.

One reviewer noted that these ladders were hard to extend. The best method is still the method of extending the ladder using the procedure described in the Little Giant Instructional Video. Since the methods are copyrighted by Little Giant, the clone manufacturers cannot use them with their own instructions sheets, videos or manuals. Accordingly, I cannot include the Little Giant Procedure in this review.

4-0 out of 5 stars Heavy but Versatile
I first saw the Little Giant version of this ladder on a late night infomercial. It looked so interesting that I began researching it. I discovered the Werner MT-22 on Amazon.com. It was much less expensive than the LG, and Werner has a reputation for building solid ladders. The first day I got this ladder home, I used it to clean the gutters of our one-story home - it was great! I used it as the A-frame fully extended. It's rated for a 300 lb. load and I felt very secure on it. For the first time, I didn't sit on the roof to clean gutters.

It is fairly heavy (about 50 lbs.), but I didn't have much trouble moving it around. With the legs closed and retracted, it's only 5-1/2 feet tall x 24 inches wide x 9 inches deep. Setting it up took a little practice, but it's now a snap.

I emailed Werner about a ladder stabilizer and work platform. A rep replied very quickly and said that those accessories would be available in September 2004. The stabilizer will not be the quick click variety.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Ladder
I would actually give the Werner MT-22 ladder a rating of 4.5 stars, if it were possible to do so, due to the weight of the thing. Other than that, this is a great ladder with virtually no flaws. Does everything it's advertised to do and more. I am still finding new uses for this thing. I have given away all of my other ladders (used to have three of them), and now use this one for everything except the "step-stool" tasks. Bottom line is that I would buy it again, which is the highest endorsement I can give.

3-0 out of 5 stars Versatile, but LIMITED extension capability!
Bought this for the flexibility and ease of transport. It fit without any trouble in the back of the vehicle and was very easy to handle with 1 person. Being able to use it as a stair ladder or with the included braces to use it as scaffolding support was very attractive. The weakness is in the extension ability. It is very difficult to fully extend the ladder to 19 feet. Basically your only option is to half-extend it on the ground, and once you have it standing, push it the rest of the way up. This becomes very difficult as this ladder does not have the typical pulley system found on regular extension ladders. It also cannot accept the Werner Quick-Click Stabilizer. The stabilizer would normall make window and gutter jobs a piece of cake. Also, with the angled legs, I am not sure of this ladders ability to accept a leveler. This all coupled with the flexing of 4 seperate pieces, prompted me to return it for a Werner 24 foot fiberglass extension that I am completely happy with. (...)

4-0 out of 5 stars It is $50 cheaper at Lowes
I searched all over the Internet for the MT-22 and every website returned me to Amazon.com. I caved in and ordered it from Amazon. Mine is still in transit via UPS. I was at Lowes today and found it for $199. It is to late for me to take advantage of the Amazon lowest price guarantee because I had already ordered it. Check your local Lowes and challenge the price BEFORE you place an order. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic new gadget!
My entire house is hard floors (hardwood, tile and linoleum) and for a long time I couldn't even stand to walk around the house in bare feet because I never felt like the floor was clean. The hardwood floors had been covered with carpet for 30 years before I moved in and all that caked on and set in dirt never seemed to go away. As much as I like for things to be clean, I HATE to clean. The Floor Mate has been a godsend for me! I can use the Floor Mate without sticking my hands in dirty water, but still get that "mopping on your hands and knees" clean - and in half the time! I love the fact that you can dry vacuum, wet scrub and wet vacuum at the touch of a button with one machine. AND by the time you get halfway across the room, the first part you cleaned is almost dry.

One of the best parts of this is that not only does it work well but this sucker is easy to clean! The tanks snap on and off and all you have to do is rinse them out and snap them back on. The thing is clean and ready to be put away in 5 minutes.

Another thing I worried about was whether or not it would leak. With hardwood floors you don't want to set a vacuum in the closet if it's going to drip because it will damage the floor. Somehow this machine does not drip once it's been emptied. I do use the wet vacuum as the last step before I turn it off so I suppose that helps.

Long story short, I think the Floor Mate is wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a clean floor but doesn't want to do it the hard way!

4-0 out of 5 stars Four and a half stars really...
I use my floor mate on vinyl kitchen flooring and I have to agree with the positive comments already given by the other reviewers.I won't bore you all to tears by saying the same thing in some new way. What I do want to mention is that I only give this thing 4.5 stars because the dry vacuum mode is not all that great. If you have a few crumbs in the middle of your floor this will pick them up no problem. If you have a few crumbs around your baseboard or in the corners (as many of us do), this thing will drive you mad as you try unsuccessfully to pull those crumbs.Eventually I give up and sweep with a broom first and then use the scrub/wet vac settings to produce a very clean floor. Its a small complaint but one I though worth mentioning. If the vacuum power on this thing were a bit stronger, it would easily be 5+ stars!

5-0 out of 5 stars A must buy
I bought this anticipating having alot of tile in my new house and Ilove it before I have the house! It works great on all kinds of vinyl and if you have a pet its great because you can vacuum up the fur.It hards to get it all up with sweeping or swiffering alone, but this sure does the job!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Its OK
I have had my floor mate since Christmas. I love the way it cleans. It DOES leave my floors beautiful. On the otherhand. It is a PAIN to lug around. It is pretty heavy considering a swiffer wet jet does about the same job. I use the floormate about once a month for kitchen tile and hardwoods throughout the house. Otherwise, it is much easier to just get out the wet mop for everyday dirt. <br /> To sum it up...too expensive for what it does...still have to clean up the machine afterwards.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
Within its abilities, this is an excellent tool to keep around.I have a dog with muddy paws, and white(ish) linoleum in the kitchen that she comes in through. When it rains (or has rained) she comes in and puts muddy paw prints all over the kitchen floor. No problem!I keep this in the kitchen, it's already plugged in, so I pull it out, run it, and within 5 minutes the floor is clean again. Not just wiped up, but actually scrubbed clean even with cold water.I have problems with my knees, so getting down and scrubbing is not something I would do.This vacuum has enabled me to do things I can't physically do.

Hot water does seem to work better on tough stains, and I have found it is better to use my Dyson "Animal" (available at www.amazon.com, target, sears, and a few other places - search for "Dyson Animal") vacuum to get the dog hair and other debris up first. ... Read more

What a clever little job this is. Our first thought was to take it to the shop and build picture frames--it's perfect for that, along with countless other finish and trim projects. The pins are so tiny, you really wouldn't need to fill the holes. It's as light as a stapler but fastens like a nailer. It has lots of power for its size as well as many of the features of its big brothers, like rear exhaust, easy jam-clearing, fast, simple loading, and a visible warning when your fasteners are running low. 4-0 out of 5 stars Senco Finish Pro 10 a good buy
I bought this micro pinner for rustic work. I build alot of Adirondack rustic style items which require small diameter twigs to be fastened. Brad nailers are often too large for the job, and hand nailing with small brads is tricky at best. This pinner is absolutely perfect! I have been able to fasten twigs as small as 1/8" diameter to plywood and other wood surfaces with absolutely no splitting (of course it's a little tricky to get the pin centered in a twig this small). The little pins also have a pretty good amount of holding power.

The Senco FP 10 is very light, has a nice design, and is a breeze to use. However, I was very surprised, and somewhat disappointed to find that, unlike my other Senco Nailers, this one is Taiwanese. I purchased it because I knew the Porter Cable was Taiwanese, and I wanted an American made product like my other Sencos. Given that the FP 10 is advertised as a professional tool, I never would have expected it to be an import.

Only time will tell if it holds up as well as other Senco nailers.

The other disappointment is that you need to oil this nailer, again, unlike other Senco products.

All in all, for the price and for what it is designed to do, the tool is a good buy. Senco, of course, does not include any fasteners in the box, nor do they include a cap for the 1/4" NPT fitting (which IS included). The oil bottle is very small, so purchase your fasteners when you purchase the nailer and get extra oil while you're at it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding pin gun
As a trim carpenter I've used a lot of brad nailers, looking for the best results. When it comes to pinning delicate trim, such as scribe, 1/4" rope molding, or screen molding, even 18 guage brads are often too think and split the material. Not so with this 23 guage pinner. It's perfect for delicate work. I've even started using to install pre-finished crown molding in kitchens, the holes left are so small that I often don't have to putty, and even when the putty doesn't match well, it's nearly impossilbe to find the holes afterward. I highly recommend this gun to anyone who is concerned about the appearnce of nail holes on their finished work. And it's Senco, so you know it will stand up to the test of time and the punishment of constant use.

2-0 out of 5 stars good, when it works
I install high end kitchens for a living. A pin nailer is a necessity for me, but I am still waiting for a good one to come out. I would pay triple the cost of this thing if they would come out with one that doesn't jam or misfire all the time.

Picture this, you're holding that crown moulding you just painstakingly cut to perfection and set in place...you hold it with one hand, apply your glue, grab the pinner and while holding both pieces together with one hand you gently ease the pinner to the perfect spot...squeeze slowly and pop. Pull the pinner back, let go and the pieces fall apart. Because the most frustrating tool in your box misfired AGAIN. I swear...I'd trade my new truck for a pinner that worked well.

But, like I said...can't live without one.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Right Tool for the job.
I installed some cabinetry at home and used this tool beased on the reviews here to attach the scribes and delicate trim to these expensive hard maple cabinets. It worked like a charm. Never misfired, set the pins perfectly, no botched pins or split wood. Can't even see the holes, so its easier than gluing or puttying holes for an 18 gage nailer.

The nails/pins should be loaded one way only, and a few drops of oil at the beginning of the project keeps this gun performing flawlessly. No problems whatsoever.

5-0 out of 5 stars Met expectations
I build small wooden props and sets for my photography studio, so I need to work clean and fast. This thing is great.....it does exactly what I wanted. My old pinner used bigger pins, actually tiny brad nails....so I had to fill them in with putty/and or drywall compound, then wait for it to dry, paint it, etc. Also the heads on the other pinner were big...and had to be set....sometimes even pulled out if they didn't go correctly into tiny molding. These pins don't really have a head..and seem to "set themselves" right below the surface...and a coat of paint (latex or spray paint for quick jobs) is enough to fill in the hole, what small hole is left, and make the pins invisible. It'll handle the smallest pieces of molding...I also had a little bit of veneer coming up on my kitchen floor...an older oak herringbone floor. I put a little bit of clear epoxy, then a piece of thin clear plastic to protect the pinner from the glue...and zap ....the 1/2" pins worked beautifully. This opens up a range of repair and building jobs that seemed difficult or impossible before.... It's also light, easy to handle, and smooth as silk. No jams so far....I can see a model builder using this to build very small wooden models....you can even use it to hold veneer in place, and other small pieces for set-ups...then pull them out without any noticeable holes.... ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Ok, but not the best for the money.
I decided to clean out the garage after being inspired by a friend who was doing the same. He ended up purchasing the Coleman series which is soo much nicer! The doors have actual hinges on them and they look better. I got the father's day special so for the money I can't complain. Except for the shipping. When I saw the box, I thought for sure these were smashed but they were just a little dented. Get ready to tap lightly with a soft hammer. The box says no tools, but don't believe it.Target had a lower price but I didn't want to pick them up. Target also carries the coleman. I'm saving you time and legwork. Spend 30% more and go with the coleman brand unless you have the money to go with Garage Tek look alikes. If I could do this again, I'd spend the 30% more.

3-0 out of 5 stars Designed for indoor use
When I bought this cabinet I planned to use it outdoor to store my gardening tools and other stuffs like fertilizer and pesticide. Upon its arrival I discovered the unit wasn't exactly meant for outdoor use right out of the box.

The problem is that the cabinet top is not watertight. After one night of rain there was quite a bit of water inside the cabinet. After some trials and errors I ended up solving the problem by gluing (using silicon) a piece of corrugated vinyl roofing panel on top of the cabinet. This seems to work fines. The roofing panel costs about $7 each at Home Depot. You can cut the panel with a pair of scissors to the right size. Be sure to cut it a little bigger, about an inch or two on each side to give extra protection from heavy rains.

The other reviewer mentioned that the doors are not lined up. This can be fixed by putting shims under the four bottom corners of cabinet. You need to experiment with this. By putting shims under differ "legs" you'll notice the alignments of the doors change.

Another thing about this cabinet is the shelves inside have slots, meaning that if there is a spill on the top shelf the fluid will get the shelves below very quickly.

This cabinet does have some pros, however: reasonably priced, shelving included, good storage capacity, and able to hold heavy stuffs. Assembly was straight forward, although somewhat tedious.

This cabinet is OK if you are using it in your garage and have a perfectly flat floor. If I were to do it again I probably would spend another $60-$80 more and get a different unit.

3-0 out of 5 stars Design needs some work.
I had high hopes for this cabinet, and I bought the 4 door model as well. It went together easily enough, but when it was completely together, (and I followed the instructions to the letter) the doors did not exactly line up. They do close, but it would look much nicer if they were in proper alignment. The four door model did not seem to have this problem. It's just for the garage, but, still, I would have liked to see a better alignment of the doors. ... Read more

This is an innovative tool whose time has most definitely come, making it possible for do-it-yourselfers to have all the power of an air nailer without buying a compressor, fooling with hoses, or putting up with the noise. And unlike other airless nailers, this one requires no fuel cells, and the battery is rechargeable just like those found in other cordless tools. Senco's AirFree brad nailer does the job, maybe with slightly less speed, but the convenience may be more than worth it. There's a slight delay when you press the trigger as the tool revs up, but you'll grow accustomed to the rhythm. It's powered by a 12-volt battery, never needs oil, and features an electronic depth-of-drive adjustment. Senco packs two batteries and a charger along with the nailer in a tough carrying case. You'll fire 600 to 1,000 nails on a charge, and a recharge takes anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes. Low vibration and a comfortable grip make this a heck of a tool. We really, really like this. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Defective design does not hold up
I am a professional finish carpenter working in cabinet shop. I have been using this gun daily for three months. In the beginning it worked just fine, but it did not hold up. I do NOT use it heavily, mostly to install crown molding and scribe, perhaps a strip of nails a day maximum.

It started out not setting the nails properly, and now the belt is not driving the nails at all. The belt driver winds up and then winds down and won't shoot. Out of 8 carpenters in my shop who purchased this gun, I am number 6 to have to return it due to this defect. We have been instructed not to purchase anymore until they work the bugs out.

It may be a fine tool for a handyman or a casual user, but if you're a professional and need a reliable nail gun, I would recommend sticking with a compressor and a traditional air brad nailer.

5-0 out of 5 stars All I can say is...WOW!
Just finished about 200 linear feet of baseboards, casings, and quarter-round. For the first half I used the old hammer and nail set, the second half I used the AF25 and was absolutely amazed at the results. The AF25 easily cut the install time in half and left me to concentrate on my cuts. The wind up time was not a bother, and you can still drive brads at a pretty good pace. I was trying to decide whether to go with this, or the Porter Cable pnumatic kit with the pancake compressor. With the Senco, there is no compressor to lug, no hoses to string, it's much quieter, and comes with 2 quick charge batteries so there should never be any down time. There is the drawback of not easily being able to add additional tools (like a framing nailer, etc.), but the brad driver will handle 90% of what I do (woodworking and casings) and I can get a framer with compressor later if needed (beware basement, your time is drawing near). The batteries are fully charged in less than an hour unless they are totally drained, then 1.5 hours. I had no trouble putting a 2" brad into solid ash anywhere from 1/4" proud of the surface to countersunk about 1/8".

Now when I see Norm say, "and I'll fasten this with a few brads to hold it 'till the glue dries", I can say, "hey, I can do that!"

I highly recommend this product, they put together a good package.

1-0 out of 5 stars Lacks durability
Great gun when it works. However, I have gone through at least 4 (have lost exact count) of these guns. Local repair shops cannot work on them so they have to be sent back to Senco. Senco has been great about sending out replacements (covered by warranty) but every replacement has also broken. There is an obvious durability issue. I currently have 2 of them waiting to be sent back and am buying 2 more air-powered guns to replace them with. If you need a gun that is reliable, look for something else.

5-0 out of 5 stars No Compressor or air lines!
I was a little skeptical when I purchased a Battery Powered brad nailer. But much to my suprize this really works and I mean good. It will shoot a 2 in brad through a 2X4!. There is no heavy air compressor to lug around and no air lines to get tangled up in. This is one of my most time saving purchases. Everyone that I have let borrow it have gone out and bought their own. Try one It will sell itself

5-0 out of 5 stars I borrow my brother in law's Senco
I read the negative reviews for the Senco AF25 nailer and I am surprised. I have used my brother in law's on and off for over a year to hang trim and finish furniture and I have yet to have a problem. In fact, I really like it! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great And---
First off, this is a GREAT product. Just installed two units on the roof beams of my peaked garage. The bikes squeeze up between the rafters leaving about 8 feet of headroom. CAUTION-when attaching the two plates parallel to the beam the center line axis of the plate wants to lay flush against the wood. I'd suggest you drill 3/8" diameter relief holes in the beam above the plates for the bolt nuts that hold the pulley's to the plates or you will bend the plate when tightening the mounting screws (which run down the central axis of the plate). Also use a screw eye to knot off the end rather than put a knot above the plate (which would require another clearance hole). I needed more than the 48' of the 1/4 " dia. cord supplied but that looked pretty ratty anyway so I replaced it. Finally take into account an additional 12 inches of headroom for the plates and bike holding hooks.

5-0 out of 5 stars 5 Star Product!
A great, economical, easy to install, easy to use bike storage system. I bought 3 and are all well worth the money. I had a problem at first with two of them, but received EXCELLENT customer service from Racor directly, and the problem has been elimiated. It was a actually a pleasure to deal with a manufacturer who takes pride in their product and service. I recommend these to anyone looking to free up some garage space.

5-0 out of 5 stars Racor PBH-1 Pro Stor Bicycle Hoist Monster
This is a good quality product and an excellent company to buy from. Packaging was professional and shipment was very timely. They went out of their way to e-mail me a letter to better explain how to determine the distance between studs in our finished garage, easier ways to install the hoists along with a picture that is more explanatory and even to say if the two hoist don't work for us, directions on how to return. I give them thumbs up.
Not to forget the hoist. I love the extra room that was made possible by hoisting the bicycles up to the ceiling in our garage. Nothing like getting them out of the way!
They lock into place right at the top of the ceiling and getting them up was not that difficult. I was able to do it by myself.

5-0 out of 5 stars No Hangups Here
I just mounted my first bike hoist. It works great. I have a 20 ft ceiling in my garage and needed something to use that space. This fits the bill. The only alteration I needed to make was to buy 100 ft of rope. 1/4 inch clothesline rope seems to do the trick. I'm online now to buy 5 more. We shopped other locations, including various bike stores, auto part stores and garage stores. The 39.99 price was the lowest. With free shipping on Amazon.com, it can't be beat.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for the bikes and space-saving too!
In today's garages it is almost impossible to get two vehicles inside the garage and still have room for other "garage stuff"! I don't want my bikes outside rotting in the weather, but I don't want them falling on my vehicles either. These bicycle hoists are easy to install once you use a stud finder in order to make sure you anchor them correctly. The pulley system makes it very simple to "pull" the bike to ceiling level and gets them high enough to allow clearance of the front of my fairly high-riding pickup. The bike tires also seem to do better hanging from the ceiling instead of rotting on the ground. I also imagine this to be an easier way to get your bike up off the ground than lifting it onto hooks. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Vrey good brad nailer
I bought the Senco 25 brad nailer last week. The decision between the Porter Cable and the Senco was difficult, I finally based the purchased on the wider range of brad lengths for the Senco and the oil less design . I have used them both and operation between the two is very similar. The Senco is [$] more and can't shoot into tight spots like the Porter Cable can due to the location of the safety nose.I did like the better construction of the Porter Cable, its part steel and part fiber resin, it appeared to be more durable, the no-mar tip is especially nice, and its very easy to see where you are shooting . The Senco is constructed almost totally of fiber resin materials and I wonder how well it will hold up to being dropped. The Senco power boast it awkward to use,the no-mar tip is too flexible and line of sight for shooting takes some getting use to. Either gun is good, the oil less feature is nice if you tend to to over oil your tools like I do.If your on a budget go with the Porter Cable.

5-0 out of 5 stars love it love it love it !!!
I've been waiting years for this nailer to come out. While waiting I have bought and used several other 2" brad nailers. Not one compared very well against Senco's brad nailer, The SLP 20. It operates so much more smoothly , it isn't even funny. The oil-less design was revolutionary. Not only is it more convenient, it saves your work from oil stains. Still, I knew that Senco would one day produce a 2" brad nailer of their own. I also knew it would be the very best. I have to say ,it was worth the wait. Everything about it says quality. It carries all the best from the SLP 20 and improves on it. From the first brad you drive you will know just how good it is. Sooo smooth. No kick back like the other guns. Sooo powerful. You will never wonder if it's going to sink the nail. The adjustable depth of drive and exhaust are the icing on the cake. I also like the rubbery grip. It's very nice to hold. I have had no jams but if you ever do , they are easy to clear. Top it off with a hard to lose no mar tip and the ability to drive 2 1/8" brads and you have the best brad nailer at any price , bar none. Plus it's made in the U.S.A. all for just a few more dollars than the "cheapies". My imports are now for sale.

2-0 out of 5 stars jam-o-matic
this got to be a joke from senco. i own a brad from hitichi, porter cable and now senco. after 5 shot of brad nail the gun jam every 5-6 shot. for the money i thought this was a well engineer gun, maybe senco lost their touch. if you don't mind wasting time changing jamm nails this is the gun!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome,light...No jams
One thing i hate is a brad gun that jams!!! I love my senco fp25xp. I never owned one before, and never knew what to expect after getting it. After hearing all the nitemare stories on nailers that jam, or break down on the job, i decided to do some reseach. well, it paid off!!!! This nailer is just plain awesome. Its very light, comfortable to hold, and i shot over 1000 brads without a single jam, or breakdown. Futhermore the gun loads fast and easy. it's only 18 gauge, but you should see the wood this thing shoots thru...Thank You senco!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best one out there IMHO!
I purchased this with the XP41 15gauge finish nailer. This brad nailer has worked great for me as has the XP41, no jams, wide selection of nails. lot's of power. I have used it for baseboards and door casing. I have not needed to use the turbo setting, it also pretty quiet, my other brad nailer is LOUD! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy the floor nailer that uses these nails
Its that simple. Spend the bucks, and you will not regret it. These nailing cleats are the best way to attach a piece of flooring to a subfloor. They hold tightly forever. I've never had a callback on a floor put in with porta-nails cleats. I own the new pneumatic porta nailer and think its great. Its a little more money than the competition, but well worth it. No jambs or messed up nails. It just works.

5-0 out of 5 stars Porta-Nailer
The Porta-Nailer is by far the most reliable flooring nailer on the market. The nails hold extremely well. They do not split the wood. Because the nailer is actuated by the hammer that is included, the boards are driven up quite tight. It will straighten even the most stubborn flooring. This top-of-the-line Cool Mist humidifier is a big step up from those old steam-spitting devices. It features a front LCD panel from which you can select the desired humidity. Simply adjust the setting to anywhere between 20 percent and 90 percent (50 percent is recommended for most situations) and set the fan to low, medium, or high. The unit is oval in shape, and because the controls are on one end, it can be operated easily even if placed in a narrow space. (It's 10 inches wide and about 17 inches deep.) The curvy, translucent gray rear tank lifts off easily for refilling, as does the front fan unit for changing or rinsing the drop-in filter. The water tank is dishwasher-safe. --Richard Farr ... 3-0 out of 5 stars I hate changing this filter
Not wanting to go through another winter with dry skin, I decided to look into purchasing a humidifier. After much research, I decided on the Hamilton Beach 05521 TrueAir Cool Mist Humidifier. I have used this humidifier for a few months now and it's hard to tell if the humidifier has helped or not.

My skin is still dry, but I don't think it is AS dry as it would have been. The humidifier runs 24/7 on quiet.

The digital readout is very nice, I can't imagine one of these without a readout. The thing is though, it almost never raises the humidity above 35-40%. I've even let it run on high all day once in awhile, and all that does is use up all the water faster. Even on quiet, I have to fill the tank twice a day. And my wife and I are getting tired of filling up the tank all the time.

The one thing that I really hate about this unit is the filter. It gets really filthy very quickly, even after turning it over every time I fill the tank like the directions say. After about 3-4 weeks it starts smelling pretty bad and needs to be changed. At ten bucks a pop, I would expect the filters to last a lot longer.

If I would have been able to try this unit out for a month before purchasing it, I would have returned it and kept looking around for something else because of the filter. I don't know if all humidifiers go through filters this fast, surely they can't all be this bad, can they?

Other than the filter, it's not a bad unit. And I would definitely recommend getting a unit with a digital readout so you can see what the humidity level is before and after you use it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Performance matches expectation
I bought this humidifier a month ago after much research. So far, it hasn't shown any mechanical trouble. The filter is holding up just fine after 4 weeks, despite daily use. Surely the quality of water in your area dictates how frequently you will need to change the filter. Nevertheless, it is recommended that you flip the filter over (to prolong it's life)when you refill the water. In my case, filter change maybe warranted no sooner than 2-3 months.

The large capacity of the water tank is good enough for 24 hour operation (on quiet setting). I use it all day night long on the low setting and it uses up about half the amount of water in the tank. At first the low setting may seem noisy especially if there is very little ambient noise around you (like when you can hear the wall clocks in your house ticking). But after a few minutes it sounds just like a dull whirring sound that is hardly objectionable. I use it in my bedroom at night and it doesn't disturb my sleep.

It is easy to see the level of water through the tinted tank. The water tank is easily removable when handled vertically. There is no leakage/spilling when you do so. There is a wide fill hole at the bottom of tank for refilling water. There are two problems though with refilling ...firstly the tank is too large to fit under the faucet in the kitchen sink, so you need a jug or hose to fill it up or use the faucet in the bathtub...secondly, the cap on the fill hole is pretty tight (the upside is that it is spill-proof) so I wouldn't recommend the unit for feeble people.

The other part of the unit, housing the motor and fan, comes off easily too. I do wish it had a latch, because you need to be careful not to knock it off when removing the water tank. When the water tank is replaced on the base tray, some water from the container fills up the tray, making a gurgling sound. It makes the same tiny gurgling sound periodically during operation too. This water in the tray is taken up gradually by the filter (which sits under the motorized fan), to generate the humidity when the fan is on.

The digital panel is easy to read. I do not however agree with the humidistat's reading. I have another humidistat in the room that I compare the reading to. The humidifier's reading is always lower, usually by 8 to 10 percent. Setting the desired level of humidity is simple although it can be done only in 5 percent increments. The unit shuts of automatically when the desired hunidity level is reached.

The base is easy to lift if the unit needs to be moved. Of course it is much more convenient to do so after removing the heavy water tank. As long as care is taken not to slant the base tray, there is no leakage or spill.

One point to consider if you are paying heating bills in the winter is that, since this IS a cool-mist himidifier, it will make the room cooler. So you may need to turn up the heat in the room a notch.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the unit's performance and recommend it to any able-bodied adult considering a cool-mist humidifier. To sum up, here are the PROS and CONS:

CONS:
1. Water tank is too large to fit under kitchen faucet
2. Cap on fill hole is tight. Some strength required to turn it
3. Humidistat not accurate
4. Motor unit is not securely latched to base tray to prevent accidentally knocking it off when removing water tank.

PROS:
1. Very good performance
2. Low operating sound on quiet setting
3. No leakage or spilling when handled correctly
4. Portable
5. Dishwasher safe; Easy to clean
6. Desired humidity level can be set manually
7. Automatic shut-off when desired humidity reached

PRO/CON depending on whether you live in hot or cold climate: Makes the room cooler.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good product but needs some improvements
I have had this humidifier for about two months now and have found the following:

PROS:
1.This humidifier works well for me. I keep it in my bedroom and only use it at night and I like the white noise that the quiet setting gives off.
2. It does a fair job.
3. It has a digital readout (very nice feature).
4. It has a large water tank.
5. It is easy to use.
6. I have not had any mechanical problems with it.

CONS:
1. The filters have to be replaced about once a week, otherwise they get moldy and start to smell (and who wants to breathe in mold?)
2. The filters are WAY too expensive. Amazon sells them for seven bucks and this is the cheapest I have found. This is a lot of money to shell out every week.
3. Filters are hard to find. Not many places carry them.
4. The cap on the water tank is VERY hard to open. It takes forever to get it off.

Bottom line, I would not purchase this humidifier again simply because I hate shelling out 28 bucks every month for filters. Even though the cap is hard to get off, it isn't impossible and its something I can live with. Maybe HB will come out with a filter that can be reused by putting it through the dishwasher or something, but until then I would not recommend purchasing this humidifier unless you have a lot of money to put into buying filters. Even though it works well, it just isn't worth it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Design
Out of the box it looked nice but my happiness soon faded. I set it up just like the manual says. When I plugged it in and turned it on nothing happened. I noticed the fan was twitching a little bit so I turned it to "HI". The fan started moving a little and then finally worked it's way up to speed after a few seconds. I figured oh well the thing is new so it was just stuck from being new. It worked ok for a while and then I went out of the house for a couple hours. I got back and what looked like the entire contents of the reservoir had spilled onto my brand new Pergo flooring and expensive raw maple wall trim!!! I now have water under my floor, soaked through my trim and soaked under the wall and into the next room!!! I took it apart looked it over and gave it another try (on a towel in a less new room). Once again it worked well but this time I checked on it every 10 minutes. Once it was about 2/3 empty for some reason it decided to simply empty itself onto whatever it was sitting... PIECE OF CRAP!!! DO NOT BUY!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Really Impressed!
I have tried many models and I'm satisfied I got the best cool-mist fan unit available. The unit comes in 4 pieces; the large fan unit section that contains the controls, the translucent 3-gallon water container, the bottom tray that both of the previously-mentioned pieces slide upright into and a hidden water reservoir tray inside the bottom tray that's not visible from the product photograph.

As for the main unit, the humidistat works very well. Although I can't comment on someone else's concern about the humidistat not being accurate, in my experience it works very well. When I ratchet it up to a high humidity level, I get lots of moist air. After you change the setting by pressing either the UP or DOWN humidity buttons to increment the humidity level in 5% increments, the display flashes for 3 seconds after which the unit responds (either turns on or off) based on the new setting. It's quick and easy.

In addition to the UP humidity button and DOWN humidity buttons, there's a 4-point switch for OFF/QUIET/MEDIUM/HIGH. The HIGH setting is really good for humidifying multiple rooms and blasts quite a strong swirl of moisture into any room in no time at all. The QUIET setting is remarkably quiet. Although no cool mist-based fan can be SILENT, I am impressed with just how quiet this lowest setting is. I was fine with it right away, and although my wife was cautious, she took to it by the morning and has enjoyed it ever since. For hypersensitive people (like my mom) where any noise would be too much noise, I'm afraid NO cool-mist system will be sufficient. I sleep with the unit on the floor in the same room I am in, slightly below the level of our bed, and a mere 10 feet away and am very pleased with the quiet hum of the lowest setting. Underneath the fan unit resides the filter which is easy to replace and sits almost too easily into a small molded, shaped guide in the bottom tray. New filters are flattened for shipping and need to be reshaped into a cylinder before replacing them - and filters seem to last longer than I expected at 1 filter every 5-6 weeks - even after which they do not look gross, moldy or dirty.

The water container is a smart design. The fill hole is at the bottom of the 3-gallon jug, but seals tightly by way of an integrated plunger built into the wide screw-release fill cap. I haven't had ANY problems with spilling, leakage or difficulty opening the fill cap as at least one other reviewer has mentioned. Since the container faces into a humid environment, it's worthwhile to shake the container once or twice before you carry it across the room to shake any droplets of humidity away. Refills are every two days for me - but we only use this in the evening and sleeping hours, so constant usage would likely require daily refills.

Every once in while, you may hear a slight gurgle as air bubbles float up from the bottom of the container while the humidifier is in use, but this also is hardly noticeable - especially since it is usually quieter than the fan itself on the lowest setting - and flat up impossible to hear if the fan is set to medium or high. This occasional gurgling of air bubbles is infrequent and no distraction at all. Finally, the 3-gallon container is very easy to fill, but because of its depth, you will need to have either a reasonably deep basin kitchen or utility sink or fill the jug up in a bathtub. Either way, 3 gallons of water is easy to heft for an adult, but may be difficult for an elderly parent or friend (consider a smaller capacity unit if this is the case). Carrying is an easy one-handed operation thanks to the white handle built into the top of the jug itself.

The 3 non-motorized plastic pieces can be placed in a dishwasher, but you will need a dishwasher with a fairly deep main section in order for the 3-gallon jug to fit. Consider removing the upper rack (if possible) for smaller dishwashers. If all else fails, the mouth of the jug is fairly wide (5" across), so a petite hand, wrist and arm could reach inside to scrub the unit if that was ever needed (it doesn't seem to get dirty, moldy or gross in the time I've used the unit). For the one piece that cannot be put into the dishwasher, the fan unit is remarkably open with a great deal of free space for cleaning. I have never seen a unit as easy and accessible as this one. Usually I simply throw out humidifiers after a season or two since disassembling them enough to clear every nook and cranny proves not worth the effort. This is the first and only unit where that has not been a problem.

With as many great things I have to say about this unit, I have one exceptionally minor complaint: the two largest units (the water jug and the fan unit) slide too easily away from the base. This is due to the shallow crevice they sit in and the lack of a clip, latch or groove that would otherwise 'lock' the two units into place. This requires the user to slide the jug straight up when removing it for refills - otherwise, you run the risk of knocking the fan unit over and onto the floor. The up-side is that - without a lock or latch to secure these two pieces more tightly, lifting the jug for refills is a one-handed operation.

I hope this detailed description helps you decide to buy this unit. After examining and using many units, I honestly feel this is the best cool-mist, fan-based unit available - and hope these insights help you make a wise choice. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Stapler
I purchased the SLS 18 stapler to secure luan underlayment in my kitchen/breakfast room. I shot over 5000 staples without any jamming, double fires, etc. In short, the stapler worked perfectly. In addition, the soft feel of the hand grip is very comfortable, although it is already showing signs of wear. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Senco air-powered tools are famous for their durability and features, and this finish stapler is no exception. The PowerPlus SLS20 is incredibly powerful yet surprisingly lightweight; combining an ergonomic design and a soft grip, it's also exceptionally easy to handle. Its magazine has the capacity to hold 168 18-gauge, 3/8- to 1-1/2-inch staples. We appreciate the adjustable depth-of-drive control that allows for precise countersinking, an especially important feature for furniture assembly. This stapler is also excellent for working on molding, trim, underlayment, soffits, and crafts. Safety is a chief concern with pneumatic staplers, and Senco pneumatic products include impressive safety features. A no-mar safety and restrictive trigger reduce the chances of accidental firings. The bottom-load magazine has a smart design, including a molded lever that keeps the magazine from accidentally opening. There's also a clear sight hole so you can check on the staple supply. Of course, only a well-maintained tool is a safe tool, and Senco designed the PowerPlus SLS20 with this in mind: this stapler never needs lubrication and has only one moving seal, resulting in virtually trouble-free operation. --Tom Kasperson ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Bit of a disappointment
I own a Senco FP25XP brad nailer and have been extremely satisfied with it - so when I decided to purchase a narrow crown stapler, I chose Senco again. My two options were the SLS20 (this one) or the SKS-L. The SLS20 was less expensive and reviewers here gave it good ratings so I ordered the SLS20.

When I received it, however, I was a bit disappointed. The cushion grip is not moulded like on the FP25, but is a piece of foam rubber wrapped around the handle and glued. And because of the way it's wrapped, it's unconfortable in your hand. Probably won't take very long before it begins to come unglued and looks all ratty.

The second disappointment was that the unit will not drive one inch staples into maple - it leaves the head proud by about 1/16. I checked the pressure on my compressor and it's in spec. The unit will drive 3/4 inch staples into maple.

The third disappointment was that the unit did not come with a case, even though Amazon advertises it as shipping with a case.

The fourth disappointment was when I found the SLS20 at a much lower price at a major home improvement store.

Overall, I'd recommend buying the SKS-L, or if you can tolerate the reduced power, go with a lower priced Senco stapler.

I returned the SLS20 and ordered the SKS-L. While the SKS-L has its own problems, it does have the power that the SLS20 is lacking.

The picture you have in the ad is of the senco brad nailer...Please fix it so as not to confuse the customers...

5-0 out of 5 stars Smooth
I've used this stapler quite extensively around the house and it has performed flawlessly. No jams, very smooth operation. Nothing more to say, this is the cream of the crop as far as narrow crown staplers go. It's worth the extra money.

5-0 out of 5 stars I wish everything was this good
The SLS 20 is much like the SLP 20 brad nailer. Pretty powerful for its size and very smooth in operation. It doesn't have as much power as the larger SKS staple gun which uses the same staples but weighs a lot more. In its favor the SKS will consistently sink 1 1/2" staples into hardwood all day long. The SLS fits into smaller spaces though so It's somewhat a trade off . Nevertheless Other mini 1/4 inch crown staplers don't compare. They don't have the same power and they don't fire with the same super smooth action. They also seem to recoil more which is a bother. If you've ever shot 18 GA. staples you know it doesn't take much to turn them into a pretzel. Any nail or screw behind your work surface will make quick work of these little fasteners. This gun is very easy to deal with in this situation. Just flip the EZ clear lever and you're back in business. Top it off with an adjustable depth of drive and oilless operatin and you have the best small 1/4" crown stapler in the industry. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product/Easy to Use
I have been using the Kreg Pocket Jig for about eight years and have been totally satisfied. For cabinet construction, I generally use pocket screws in conjunction with biscuits. It may take a little longer, but the end result is perfect alignment and no clamping reqired.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kreg Pocket Hole Jigs Number 1 across the board
I bought the Kreg Pocket Hole Pro Pack, which has all of the components on this set, plus the workpiece holder. You could make your own using a toggle clamp. What I wanted to share with you is that the Kreg Pocket Hole offerings made the number one spot across the board in the November 2003 issue of Better Homes and Gardens "Wood" magazine. Everything from the mini on through to the automated production machine were given the top ratings. It was a clean sweep for Kreg. They tested a lot of machines too. Some of the advantages are the flush edge joining to the workpiece prevented tearout. The case hardened steel guides didn't show wear or metal shavings. Easy to make or buy the premade plug holes out of wood. (Some were an odd shape, and wouldn't accept plugs very well)
Even though the body is made out of plastic, which is substantial and well done, the steel guides are the only thing the drill bit touches.
Pocket hole joinery is a nice addition to your arsenal. You will find yourself incorporating it more and more into your projects, and the Kreg system is the best. Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Quick, easy pocket holes
I just used this today for the first time to build a frame for a pirates chest for my 5 year olds' birthday party. Quick easy joints that looked great. Loved it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Tool for the Shop
I build cabinetry and prior to getting my Kreg I used a mix of T&G, dowels, and biscuits to join boards and frames together. For your basic furniture construction this device is simply amazing. Attach the jig to one face to be joined, run the special drill bit (included) down one or both fixed metal ferules, unclamp and use the Kreg screws to attach the two parts. I can now build furniture, test for fit in the shop, take it apart, apply finish and rebuild on site.

On the downside it leaves a rather gaping hole on one side of the joint so it is not the preferred method for joining boards that are visible on both sides. They sell wooden plugs (in different wood species), but I am not impressed with them as they take a lot of fiddling to get them in and flush. I also have not used it for joining boards into panels (table tops or cabinet sides) because I prefer an old school biscuit joint with good clamping technique for a flush surface.

However like I said earlier. This is a heck of a tool. It makes for speedy face frame joints and handles my ¾ inch plywood joints very easily. Plus I can literally build the cabinet piece by piece and take it apart to finish or move it. For the price, the rocket pockethole kit is a very good value. If you build cabinets or furniture, than this is a nice tool to have it your shop. (BTW: order extra screws - personally I find I use the 1 ¼ coarse thread screws on just about everything).

5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful alternative to biscuits
I bought one of these little jigs to see if pocket screw construction really was as great as the advertisements say- and I'm here to tell you it's even better. I'd used biscuits in the past to build cabinets, but pocket screws can be set up faster and require no clamping when gluing. The only downside is that pocket screws, unlike biscuits, aren't totally hidden from view- but the holes can be hidden in a lot of built in construction or filled with oak or maple plugs available from Kreg.

This little Kreg jig has a plastic body, but it's a very high density synthetic and should last a long time. The kit has everything you need to get started, including screws, but you'll probably want to get a bag of another 1000 if you plan on doing more than a few boxes.

If you're planning on gearing up for even limited production, or building an entire kitchen, consider getting the all-metal Kreg with built in clamp. For about twice the cost (once you buy the accesories already included with this jig) you'll have a unit than can be bench mounted and sets up in a couple of seconds. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars multi use ladder
I was using this import ladder on a platform when the lock on one side failed. I am only 170lbs. My paint and me went everywhere. Do yourself a favor and get the u.s. made ladder. I did and now I am happy - the US made ladder is a great product.

4-0 out of 5 stars Happy with ladder
This seems like a strong, versatile ladder. I moved into a new place and needed a tall ladder for outdoors and a short ladder for indoor use. This ladder can do both. The instruction sheet says ANSI type 2 duty rating, 225 LB Working Load and EN-131 Maximum Permissable Load 330 LBS. I have seen more expensive ladders in the store rated for less weight, and they were not adjustable. As others have said, the instructions are not great, but using the ladder is much easier than the instructions make it out to be. Just follow your common sense. The moving parts are quite self-explanatory.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cosco ladder great for condo owners
I own a condo with nine foot ceilings so I needed a ladder to safely reach that high to replace lightbulbs. My condo has very limited storage space so I needed a ladder that would fit in a closet. The Cosco fills both these needs well. It looks complicated to set up at first, but the instructions and included video make it real easy. The ladder is rather heavy, but that proves to be a benefit since it feels very safe and solid when climbing on it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great ladder
This ladder is awesome! It might take a minute to figure out how to set it up in all its functions, but it's well worth the time. This ladder is very sturdy, heavy enough to keep from wobbling, but light enough that I can carry it around (I'm not the strongest girl). I live in an apartment with high ceilings, and it's perfect for getting to a ceiling fan or above the cabinets. I would recommend it without hesitation. ... Read more

One of the most popular brad nailers on the market, this model from Senco is lightweight, oil free, and perfect for work on fine woods and trim. It has a comfortable foam grip and, at only 2.3 pounds, you'll be able to use it all day without having to worry about excessive arm fatigue. The nailer drives 5/8- to 1-5/8-inch medium- and slight-head brads and offers easy side loading and a handy jam-clearing feature. Since it's oil free, you can forget that morning maintenance ritual and--better yet--you won't have to worry about getting oil on fine woods. 5-0 out of 5 stars A REAL STRAIGHT SHOOTER
I know that some other less expensive nailers out there are very popular, and may perform just fine but, in my opinion this is the best brad nailer on earth.I say it's a work of art. It is so refined and sculpted inside and out it truley deserves A 5 star rating.Replacement parts and service centers are not a problem, when time is money.I wont bore you with all the projects I've done but, I will say they were a lot easier and hassle free using this tool.Senco is made right here in the good ol' U.S.A. and has a solid reputation.I'm not knocking some of the other brands out there. I'm just saying, you get what you pay for. Now get out there and build something.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT GUNS
... I have a Porter Cable finish nailer and it has performed flawlessly in the time I've had it. But, I knew the Senco is a better piece of equipment even though it is twice the price of the Porter Cable. In the time I've had the Senco brad nailer I have been totally satisfied. It's light, easy to handle and has virtually no kick back when fired. I'm delighted to have the better quality tool at nearly the same price.

3-0 out of 5 stars Has difficulty countersinking
I've used the SLP20 at work (remodeling), and overall think it's probably a good brad nailer. I suspect that the one we're using may have a defect or be wearing out (although it's relatively new). The majority of the time, ours fails to countersink any size of brad. Instead it flush drives the brads or leaves the head slightly above the wood surface. This means that we have to get out the nail set, which leaves a larger than desirable mark on the wood. It's time consuming to set the brads by hand, and unacceptable when we're working with stain-grade woods.

Recently a colleague bought a reconditioned Porter Cable BN200A to use instead of the Senco. The first one had misfiring problems, but the second one works fine. It's too early to know how the Porter Cable will hold up, but it sure is nice to have a brad nailer that can properly countersink the brads.

I've also used an Hitachi NT50AE that another finish carpenter at our jobsite really likes. For the price (it's the cheapest of the three on Amazon.com), I'd probably go with the Hitachi although I don't like the fact that it's a little taller than the others.

5-0 out of 5 stars happy woodworker
Love the gun is a multipurpose gun for woodworking

5-0 out of 5 stars Changed my life
A couple of years ago I embarked on a remodel of my house, and I was determined to perform all of the interior finish carpentry, and refurnish with Arts and Craft style furniture. After quite a bit of research I settled on two nailers, a Senco finish nailer and this SLP-20. Since that time I've used these tools to drive hundreds (thousands?) of nails and brads, into wood ranging from oak to soft pine, and they have never failed me. I now approach any nailing task with utter confidence in my tools, and I'm a better woodworker for it. I have never regretted spending somewhat more for my Senco nailers because they have never let me down. The one servicing need I had cleared up an air leak problem instantly, thanks to the folks at the service center. The SLP-20 is a high quality product, and is money well spent. If you're in the market for a brad nailer, this is the one to buy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best thing EVER! Not a carpet vac, floor vac!
I wanted to clear the air about this product.

#1 It is not a vac for CARPET!!! The box even says not for carpets. It is a hard floor vac. It does great, vacs up everything!
I have heard that the pads don't work well. I disagree, the pads are the best ever! So thick, so absorbent!
I have a messy husband, messy cats, very messy rabbit and semi-messy ferrets. All the rabbit waste, cat food, clumpy paper fillers get sucked up!

The cleaner scent is clean, but not over powering like other mops.

The vac sucked up some plastic that was more then it could handle and the motor burned out. Luckily there is a year warranty on the product ( fill out those cards ! )

No, it won't suck up everything your family has dropped on the floor. It's not meant too, just things smaller then the nozzle can handle.
And if it falls apart, use your warranty people!
Things fall apart!

Only cons: the filter and pads are not easy to find. But your on here anyway, may as well buy some from Amazon.
Dirt container could be a tad bigger, for less trips to the garbage.

1-0 out of 5 stars Going Back to my Swiffer Mop
I had been wanting one of these for a while. We have a lot of tile flooring and I had been using a Swiffer mop, which was pretty good. The Vac n Mop is pretty much useless. The vacuum part does not get much dirt up and the mopping pads are very thin and leave streaks of dirt all over the floor.
I would not recommend this product to anyone unless they want to mop an already clean floor.
Another thing to add to my appliance graveyard!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for small cleaning jobs!
I bought this to use for small cleaning jobs, not expecting it to take the place of a mop and broom. This is great if you use it in between your major cleanings. I have a husband who seems to think he will drop dead if he wipes his feet and a 4 year old. My floor gets messy. I would have to sweep my floor several times a day and mop all the time. With this I can run it over the floor and it takes less than half the time as sweeping does. And I don't have to drag out my mop 2 or more times a week. I can spot mop just the mess. Then I only have to do a entire mopping once a week.

I do have to add, because it was given a bad review for this, This is not for carpet. This is a HARD floor cleaner. This is in no way meant to be used on carpet.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Good Buy
I bought this VAC/MOP recently and I am very upset that I did. The mop part of it works o.k. at best. The vac part is not worth anything.I threw some dirt on my carpet and the dirt wasn't even pushed down in the carpet and the Vacum could on get abuot 40%, it pushed as much in the carpet as it picked up.If you plan on using this only inthe kitchen or on hardwood floors I guess it is an O.K. buy but if you want to be able to clean up little messes elsewhere in your home forget this, it is a waist of money at best.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not dependable
I've had this product for 4 months. At first it was great, plugging in to recharge constantly is a small inconvenience, but one I can live with.I couldn't find replacement pads in our local Walmart, and the cleaning solution is difficult to find as well.

Within two months the spray nozzle had broken off.I superglued it back on, the spray action wasn't as good but it still worked.Today a screw broke off - yes a screw.I'm not sure I can fix it...I'll be returning this item to the manufacturer and hope I can get some money back.I believe I'll be returning to brooms and swifter wet jets...those seem to work and are much less expensive. ...
