5-0 out of 5 stars Leave Your Tools at Home... This is more than Enough
I've had one of these for a little less than a year now. I'm responsible for the tech support of a huge division in a major college in the New York City area, and this is the only tool I bring with me. I've used it fro everything from fixing computers, to repairing typewriters. It has paid for itself a hundred times over. Highly recommended!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Handier than I expected!
I'm a geek, but you probably wouldn't pick me out in a lineup (not that I've been in a lineup, but...). Anyway, I must say that the Cybertool Pocket Knife really is as great as other people say. It's easy to use, and I find myself carrying it with me far more than any other tool I have, just because it is so verstile.

5-0 out of 5 stars Geeks must-have
Okay, I'm not the geek, my husband is, but I bought this knife for him months ago and he's not been to work without it yet. He is a software developer and does a bit of work with hardware as well. He says it's a great tool for anyone doing detail work with computers, eyeglasses or musical instruments. It has come in handy with (his glasses, obviously) and my flute. We've also found uses for it with kid's toys (getting those damned battery compartments open), cell phones, aquariums, baby monitors, stereo equipment, and as a handy-dandy package and letter opener. You don't need to be a geek to apprecaite all that!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Tech Toolset and Swiss Army Knife Combined
Everyone should have a Swiss Army knife, as they come in so useful, especially on the move. The question usually is: which one? Well, for me it was the Cybertool, mainly because it has all the features of the standard Swiss Army knife, but incorporates some precision tools, which comes in great for me at work, I just keep it in my case with my Laptop. One of the best Swiss Army Knives on offer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Geekgirl's delight
As owner of an all-female IT support company, I purchased this tool for all my techs for Christmas last year. We're all absolutely enchanted with it. Leatherman's tools are ok, but if you work on Compaqs you have to have the Torx bits. We've already got cell phones, pagers and pdas hanging off our belts, and there's just no room on a gal's belt to add a Leatherman and the toolbit accessory. The cybertool fits in a pocket or purse and gets the job done while maintaining our sleek appearance. One caveat, however - if you leave this thing at a client site it will NOT be there when you return for it!! So now I'm up here looking at the Cybertool 34 - we'll see how it stacks up against the original. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great...Just Great!
Bought this drill a couple of months ago and like the AMEX card I would not leave home without it! I thought the world of my previous cordless drill (Milwaukee 12v) but the battery packs wear out after a few seasons of use and they are getting harder to find (as well as getting expensive). I've got one good pack left for the Milwaukee and am babying it, but I use the Bosch for nearly every drilling job I do now. I give it a solid recommendation to anyone that wants a workhorse 3/8" drill. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Bosch's Compact Tough cordless drills are designed to provide professional power in a compact profile and perform tough jobs in tight spaces and close quarters without compromising durability. Employing a flexible ABS nylon blend, this tool can stand up to the roughest job site conditions. This 9.6-volt model has a two-speed gearbox that delivers up to 250 inch-pounds of torque in high-torque mode and up to 1,000 rpm in high-speed mode. There's also a large two-sided fan for cool operation and motor durability and a 16-position clutch for matching the torque to your task. We like the ratcheting chuck that allows for quick, reliable one-handed bit changes and the soft rubber grip Bosch includes on all its cordless tools. If lightweight maneuverability is the goal, this 9.6-volt model may be your best bet. It has the smallest profile of any of the Compact Tough drills and weighs only 3.3 pounds. This model includes the drill, two 1.4 amp hr batteries, a one-hour charger, a bit holder, and a carrying case. --Brian Trinen ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars nice balance, compact, and great power for a 9.6v cordless
i research (almost) everything i buy and i compared this drill/driver with makita, dewalt, and black & decker. i felt that the bosch 32609 was the clear winner. it feels great in your hands and has outstanding balance. it is light (less than 3-1/2 lbs) and the smallest of the compact line of drill drivers from bosch. that's pretty impressive considering this has the highest torque rating (300 in./lbs) of any 9.6v cordelss drill/driver out there today. the 16-position clutch ensures that you can choose the correct torque level to your job while the keyless chuck makes replacing bits or drivers quick and easy. this package includes two batteries and a 1hour charger. for my use, i think this battery/charger setup will be more than sufficient.

all in all, i am very please with this tool that i'm actually looking for projects around the house!

i hope this helps you with your buying decision. peace.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect Size , weight and power ats my favorite!
I have several cordless drills of different voltages and brands, Panasonic, Porter cable, and Bosch. This great drill is light and yet powerful. It is great for hardware installation, cabinet assembly and general work. It is much handier than 1n 18 volt monster that still doesn't have the torque or speed of a corded drill. This is the one to get. The new technology suggestes the batteries should last much longer and this one comes with a 3 year warranty! Wow! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Impressive, solid little drill.
Weight and price lured me to this drill. I work in a cabinet shop and found the 18 volt yellow and 14.4 volt red drills the other blokes had a bit bulky and heavy for all-day use (plus, I have access to their drills and our electric ones, as well). For screw and glue assembly this drill is a gem--it delivers just enough torque to sink everything home and won't break the heads off coarse drywall screws. Pre-drilling / Countersinking operations take a little longer than with more powerful models (and since time is money, I often keep a second, more powerful drill handy for the pre-drilling. I've drilled pocket holes with this Hitachi from time to time, but prefer to use an electric drill (or a heavy cordless drill on a jobsite) with the Kreg jig. I've also drilled dowel holes in 1 3/4 Mahogany with this drill--not without some effort, though. The light weight and compact size of this drill have come in handy for all of us--several corners in a recent kitchen remodel could only be reached with this drill, not with the larger cordless units.

My purchase of this drill prompted one shop member to purchase an even lighter 9.6 volt yellow brand. Initial impressions are that the two are about equal. One disadvantage to the yellow 9.6 volt is that it cannot be stood upright on its base. Since each falls in the same price range, I'd recommend the Hitachi for this one reason.

Battery expenditure is fairly frequent, and perhaps a negative for some reviewers / readers. But keeping the spare in the charger has never left me without juice. Just remember to take the charger to the job site!

I can't comment yet on the longevity of the batteries (still going strong after a year of daily use). When they do finally die, I'll be able to get two for 70 bucks by purchasing another drill! (not bad, since some brands charge 70 bucks for one battery alone). Also worth noting is that Hitachi makes a 12 volt hammer drill that uses the same batteries.

I really don't use the flashlight, but it is nifty in that the head angles and it is free-standing. Rather, I use the flashlight's space in the case for bits and so on The case, by the way, is not as rugged as other brands (especially the sliding hinges). My assumption is that Hitachi has eliminated the frills of a great case to keep the price low.

For the price and performance, this little Hitachi is a great buy. It probably all a home do-it-yourselfer needs, and again, it works for 90% of the jobs in the shop. It has taken some abuse and suffered some job site falls, but has not been damaged. Yes, eventually, I will be buying a second, heavier duty drill--probably the red 14.4 workhorse (now that it has been beefed up to well over 400 lbs. of torque), but a second drill will simply complement, not retire this drill. I highly recommend this little Hitachi. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value : Does what it's designed to 100%
I pointed out a few things that were not right with and could be improved upon when I reviewed the Black&Decker BDL110S BullsEye Laser level Stud Sensor and it was refresing to find this little wonder that seems to have gotten everything right compared to the overpriced Black&Decker tool.

For starters, it's not a combo, there is no stud finder in it, so it's not bulky and it can fire the laser at any angle that you choose in addition to the obvious horizontal and vertical angles. It has bubble vials for both level & plumb. The laser can be adjusted for distance either short and bright or long with a slight loss in brightness, if you are close to the corner, it will even get the laser straight line onto the adjacent wall.

This little gadget rocks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent design and value
If you don't want to spend over $250 for a set of carbide hole saws, then this is as good as it gets at a fraction of a carbide set's price. The best feature about this Bosch set is the terrific quick-connect mandrel system. The hole saws, regardless of size, snaps in and out of the mandrel easily -- no tightening or screwing needed. The saws are sharp. I used the set to install locksets in two metal-clad wood doors without breaking into a sweat. Highly recommended. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

For day in, day out drilling and driving in wood, steel, or plastic, there might not be a better tool than Milwaukee's Magnum hole shooter. The aluminum/magnesium alloy on the gear case cuts down on the tool's weight, and the glass-reinforced nylon handle makes it a bit lighter, too--but let there be no doubt: when it comes to results, this is the same heavy-duty, ridiculously powerful, no-nonsense tool it's always been. The shooter is built with a stacked design--meaning the drill's interior parts stack on top of each other--which makes replacing parts (like a switch) much easier to do as the whole drill doesn't need to be taken apart. The handle is designed so you can hold it two ways--either pistol-grip or with the palm of your hand resting on the top back portion--making the drill an extension of your arm. As a result, you can really get behind it while still easily reaching the trigger with your fingers; the finger slots add comfort. The carbon brushes are easy to access and change. And this model comes with a convenient and reliable all-metal, two-sleeve keyless chuck.

If you're looking for a serious, long-lasting drill, you can't go wrong here. Milwaukee's hole shooter is a very high quality tool that will serve you for years and years and years. --Dori Anvinson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great drill! Typical high Milwaukee quality.
I recently purchased the Milwaukee 0233-20 3/8" Magnum drill. I had first purchased another brand which was on sale. I tried to save a few bucks, and as usual it came back and bit me.The other drill was a real dog. Absolute junk. I returned it, got my money back, and did what I should have done in the first place. I bought a Milwaukee. The Milwaukee gives me slow, smooth starts which is great for starting holes in very precise places. It also gives me the high speed I needed for drilling pocket holes with my Kreg jig. The Milwaukee drill is buttery smooth. Just like my other Milwaukee tools it's built solid, and it WORKS! Another case of "you get what you pay for." If you're in the market for a 3/8" variable speed drill don't waste your time...just buy the Milwaukee to begin with and you'll be happy plus by getting a high quality tool it'll be a long time (if ever) before you have to replace it. No, I don't work for Milwaukee or get paid by them. It's just my 2 cents worth of opinion.

5-0 out of 5 stars The last high speed drill you'll buy.
Using this drill is shear bliss! The balance, the comfortable grip, the genius power/speed ratio, the extreme durability, the butter-smooth operation... In other words, it's a typical Milwaukee tool. This drill is made for drilling fast holes and driving screws. It is not made for conrete, stone, thick tile, etc. drilling. Get Milwaukee's 1/2" hammerdrill for that with more power and less speed. It also is not for drywall screw driving. Get Milwaukee's drywall screw shooter for that with it's super speed and clutch. I have used it for those purposes as well, however, and it performed exceptionally considering it wasn't made for those purposes. I have even used it with 2 1/2" masonry hole saws.
Previous to this drill I owned a Craftsman. I burned it up quick rebuilding my home. I burned up several other craftsman tools as well. I bought this drill on some advice from a carpenter tradesman, and since using this drill have replaced my other wimpy craftsman tools with Milwaukee. You'll do the same after the first Milwaukee tool you use.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fine product. Support earns -1 star.
I was glad to receive this item one day early. It is the right size, weight, power, and price I was looking for in a Milwaukee drill. I noticed that a local HW store carries a lower model (4 amp) for $5 more than amazon.com, and this same model for significantly more $. I chose Milwaukee as they are known for their steel bearings as opposed plastic sleeves of some brands. And, why not buy American. I had trouble manipulating the keyless chuck at first, despite trying to twist it apart with rubber-jawed tools. I called the company, and after three menus and two people, I was referred to local service centers in cities far from me. I called one and they tried to be helpful but didn't have useful advice. Instead I consulted an officemate who suggested I grasp the collar with something like a strap wrench and run the drill at low speed; in this case, it needed to be running forward because the jaws were wide open. After overcoming a lot of resistance, the chuck loosened and I was in business. The keyless chuck can be much faster for changing bits, but the jury is still out on whether it has a strong enough grip for some jobs. I'll try degreasing the jaws and bit with brake cleaner or nail polish remover if I have any slippage. Also, a fraction of a star is lost for the plastic forward/reverse switch that flexes, feeling unsubstantial. I'd rate the product itself 4.6. I considered the much more expensive cordless ones, but I want maximum power on demand for infrequent use, and the rechargeable batteries both heavy and expensive.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Drill!
I have owned and used many drills but this is definitely the best 3/8" drill for the price I've ever used. It is constructed ike the more expensive Milwaukee Magnum drills that are industry standard in many trades. I am not necessarily a big fan of all Milwaukee tools but they do build them good and it is nearly impossible to buy a better drill than theirs.

I noticed someone comment on it being hard to drive screws... just be easy on the trigger! I've used it for driving screws just fine (watch the RPM's this drill produces) and for drilling in metal and wood since I've bought it. Smooth, smooth smooth! Just a great all-around tool.

The closest thing to a gripe about it is the trigger switch is a little large for my preference, and I never thought that the Magnum series drills had that comfortable of handle. Adding a speed adjustment dial to control RPM's on the trigger would be nice as well. The weight is probably a little higher than other drills in this range but considering it's the Hummer of the hi-speed 3/8" drill market that's OK.

If you're considering getting a 3/8" hi-RPM universal-use corded drill: this is the one. You won't be disappointed. It's more than worth the few (and I mean just a few) bucks more than the competition.

5-0 out of 5 stars ...Have had lot's of use in shops.
This is a really tough and powerful drill. If you need a drill that will not bog down and have power to spare try this Milwaukee. Have used this exact model in industrial shops. ... Read more

Let the cat have your plumb bob for a toy, and toss that24-inch level while you're at it: Stabila's in the house! No moresneaky doors that swing open after hanging; this 32-inch level willmake sure you've set the header and sill perfectly, and the 78-inchlevel fits easily into an 80-inch frame. Stabila has built hand-gripopenings in these levels, making overhead measurements a breeze andlessening your chances of dropping them onto the floor--or your head.Even the 78-inch level is light but incredibly sturdy. 4-0 out of 5 stars Missing Something
A great setup, except the set needs to come with a 30" level instead of a 32". The most common dorr size in a house is a 2-6 or 30". a 24" level is just too short and a 32" is just a hair long with the caps removed. These levels are top of the line. A must for all finish carpenters.

5-0 out of 5 stars Why Not Have The Best
If you set alot of steel frame doors, or pre hungs, you will love this level set.I know you cant always set pre-hungs level if you're following a wall reveal. But if you have to set steel frames for masonry or metal framing, you can throw away your plumb bob, [spend the extra money for the magnetics if you do alot of metal]. These are faster and just as accurate as a palm laser at half the cost! No I dont work here.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good, but not perfect
I won't repeat the praise of others here: it's true that a level that doesn't lose its calibration is wonderful. But I do object to the removable end caps (shock absorbers?) -- they come off in case you want a square corner at the end of the level, but they also come off by themselves, when I find my missing one I'll cement it on. Also, I find the slick handhold-free metal body difficult to grip in certain positions, and the vial you need to see never seems close at hand.

These are the trade-offs for the sturdiness and accuracy (which may be in part due to the gentler handling a level that costs this much will usually get ... no more using my level as a hammer in a pinch ... just kidding!).

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best levels Plus a freebee
Fantastic Deal! I own a lot of Stabila Levels and they really are the world's best. These two new levels are just what we needed. Homeowners may not notice a wall that is not plumb, but they sure notice a door that swings open because the door frame is not plumb. This Jamber set is the best! You pay for the 78" and get the 32" free. Such a deal. Thanks Amazon.com for carrying the full line of Stabila, especially this new Jamber Set. Oh, did I mention the lifetime accuracy guarantee? These guys really stand behind their levels. As long as you don't bend it, it is covered for life, really, I've done it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Stabila Jamber Set
I have always been one to believe that the best way to set door jambs is the oldest way, a plumb bob, a strait edge, and a two foot level. With the accuracy of Stabila's Jamber Set, I now believe that using these levels can be just as as accurate, faster and easier. The 32 inch level is a big improvement over using a two footer when leveling the head. The 78 inch level fills the leg of the jamb so it is easy to see exactly how straight the leg is while checking for plumb. The two sizes are also very useful for other applications such as cabinetry installations. I have owned other Stabila levels for years and know that they are extremely durable and retain their accuracy. I would highly recomend this set to anyone in the trade. This is a great value and an exellent investment in your professional perfomance. ... Read more

We've all dealt with drill bits that couldn't stand up to our everyday demands. Fortunately, Milwaukee's 13-piece cobalt bit set can. Manufactured from heat-resistant cobalt, these self-centering, 135-degree split-point bits are designed for exceptional strength and faster penetration. Now you can drill through stainless steel, titanium, and the toughest heat-treated materials more easily, and with far fewer broken bits. The bits range in size from 1/16 to 1/4 inches and come housed in an attractive metal carrying case. --Carl Thress ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Yikes!
I purchased these as a gift for the home improvement junkie that I share a house with and guess who uses them constantly? ME! They are razor sharp and quite an upgrade from the cheap dull ones we had previously. Don't buy cheap tools! They are dangerous and frustrating. We also have the 14 volt Milwaukee cordless drill and I love that too. Very happy with the bits.

5-0 out of 5 stars Do yourself a favor
These will be the last drill bits you will need to buy. They are super hard and will go through the toughest heat-treated metal. You will need to be carefull with them; even though they are hard, they will break if you were to drop them onto a concrete floor. But will a little care they should last a lifetime. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best pocket knife money can buy.
I have owned my Swiss Champ for more than two years. I wanted a POCKET knife that had many tools without having to go to a multi-tool that you had to put in a case and hook to your belt.
The Swiss Champ fit the bill perfectly. I carry it in my pocket everywhere I go.
The knife is built much stronger than I ever imagined. I have used the screwdrivers with screws that I felt would break the knife without even chipping a blade. I have put a tremendous amount of torque on the blades without a hitch. I love the tuck away tweesers. They have pulled many splinters from hands and fingers.
The scissors are very sharp,....though small. (I have used for personal grooming.) The pliers are strong,....but rather small. The file works well for small items. The saw blade is very, very sharp and I have actually used it in a jam to cut through a 1" X 2" board.
This is the best POCKET knife I have ever bought. I like it so much that I recently bought another and put it in my closet. (Just to have it on hand if I should ever lose this one.)
The original still looks and works like new. All the blades are still very sharp.
If you are looking for something that will actually fit in your pocket,.....this is the knife to own.

5-0 out of 5 stars Classic Swiss Army quality
This tool has it all; a ball point pen, a sharp saw, magnifying glass, scissors, pliers, and even a knife! Classic Swiss Army quality and excellent fit and finish. It's a little heavy in my pocket, but no more than other similar tools. So far I've put mine in my pocket every day, and it's not too bad, although that and a big key ring would be too much.

The pliers are precise enough to pull out splinters, which is a good thing since the tweezers are useless. The magnifying lense appears to be glass, and the metal used is first rate. There aren't any parts of this thing that will corrode, and durability is excellent.

If I had to choose between this tool and something like a Leatherman tool, it might be pretty close, depending on whether you needed the long nose pliers of the leatherman more often, or a good knife. I haven't owned the Leatherman, so I can't vouch of the quality of that tool, but this one is very nice.

5-0 out of 5 stars adaptable Belt pocket?
I want to know if there is any poket that I can put on my belt for this knife??

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply, the best there is
You can't go wrong with the Champ in your pocket. Owned mine for a good 9 years and is still serves me well since the day I bought it. I even brought it with me when I did volunteer work and never failed me, not even when I used it to hammer some nails onto plywood. Now for the "other" camp, the LEATHERMEN's camp, sure, the Champ's pliers aren't beefy enough for some jobs but along with a good pair of Craftsman or Snap-on pliers and my trusty knife, I'm pretty sure things will be fine.

Besides, how many stories have you heard of a guy using a Leatherman to perform a tracheotomy on a choking child on a plane? I'm sure you haven't. But a Swiss Army knife did, right?

5-0 out of 5 stars Good but big.
As you can see, this knife has many many tools. However, calling it a pocket-knife is a little misleading. It is a bit big to fit comfortably in a jeans pocket. Buy the sheath that is made for it and wear it on your belt. The sheath also has a pencil, sharpener, compas/ruler, matches, signal mirror, string, safety pin and more. When I've worn mine, the sheath has come in almost as handy as the knife. If you want one that fits in a pocket a little better, try the Delux Tinkerer, has a lot of the tools that I found useful. The victorinox knives are all great quality, withstand abuse, and the tools open and close very smoothly. For heavy-duty cutting, though, I'd look for one with a locking blade, such Victorinox's version of the leatherman.

This knife also comes or at least used to come in black. That's a really nice look and not as common as the red. ... Read more

Bosch's Compact Tough cordless drills are designed to provide professional power in a compact profile and perform tough jobs in tight spaces and close quarters without compromising durability. Employing a flexible ABS nylon blend, this tool can stand up to the roughest job site conditions. This 12-volt model has a two-speed gearbox that delivers up to 280 inch-pounds of torque in high-torque mode and up to 1,200 rpm in high-speed mode. There's also a large two-sided fan for cool operation and motor durability and a 16-position clutch for matching the torque to your task. We like the ratcheting chuck that allows for quick, reliable one-handed bit changes and the soft rubber grip Bosch includes on all its cordless tools. This 12-volt model represents a great compromise between power and a lightweight slim profile--offering plenty of torque and speed--and weighs only 4 pounds. This model includes the drill, two 1.4 amp hr batteries, a one-hour charger, a bit holder, and a carrying case. --Brian Trinen ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars overpriced, but overall a reasonable drill
I recently bought this drill. i like it. power/torque is excellent. but for the price it should've been better-the battery juice should've last longer, the drill should've been quieter (it is very noisy.).

the other reviewer who said not to buy made-in china products is 10% right and 90% wrong. I looked at the bottom of all the components in this Bosch drill. The drill is made in Switzerland (He is right only here.), but the battery is made in Mexico, and the battery charger is made in China. i am not quite sure where all the parts inside the drill/battery/battery charger are made from, probably all over the world.

i don't think it's fair to blame China for the cheap products that are sold in the USA and around the world. These products are made with the specifications of the Buyers, that is, the USA, the European...etc. companies, who wanted to sell cheap stuffs to us in the first place. I've bought some British high end hi-fi components that are made in china, and i was very, very, very impressed with the quality of the equipment. if the executives at the US and European companies want high quality, they get high quality-no matter where it is made. if the execs want cheap merchandise so we must replace these cheap products every 3-5 years, so that these companies can measure purchasing cycle and maximize their profit line every 3-5 years, then we, the USA consumers, will then get cheap products that break down easily. but really who is to blame here, the USA and European's marketing/product/pricing strategies and schemes, or china? we all know what the answer is.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not made in China
This drill is the best 12V on the market. It is made in Switzerland, and it shows. Its quality is unmatched by any other brand in this price range. If your not going Milwaukee or better, avoid the temptation of buying that Dewalt, and go with the European.

Its got a comfortable grip, solid feel and construction, and is clearly made to handle anything.

Remember, good tools are made to last. Don't buy the Made in China __[insert brand]__ that will end up in the trash in 3 years. This drill will definitely make it for the long haul. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works Great! Plenty of Torque for me..
This items comes shipped in the box. Nice! Cord is attached and longer than the average cord too. Plenty of torgue, nice features comfortable and much more powerful than the yellows if you know what I mean. One downside to this item is Milwaukee doesn't provide you with a nice metal case. 5-0 out of 5 stars Will pay for itself after one wiring job.
If you are going to be doing any serious wiring around your house buy one of these drills, don't argue with me, don't cavil and whine that's it's too expensive, just buy the drill. Now Drilling between joists, or up into wall cavities, tasks which are a complete pain in the neck with a standard drill are almost effortless with the 3002. I had to run a bundle of wires through 12 floor joists, with this drill it took me about 15 minutes to drill all of the holes I needed and run the wires. Like every other Milwaukee product the drill is very well built and durable and if taken care of will last forever.

5-0 out of 5 stars Milwaukee Builds'em Right
I use this drill at work on a daily bases and it has never let me down. The extra long handle is great when your dilling overhead. This model has a higher rpm than the standard right angle dill kit. The higher rpm's make drilling wood a lot easier. I only wish Milwaukee would have put the Quik-Lok cord on this model. No tool is perfect but this one comes close. ... Read more
