Excellent Medic tool
I was an Aerovac Medic for the US Air Force. I carried my Gerber with me as basic equipment. You don't have to peal open this tool, like a Leatherman. All you have to do is place it between your thumb and fore finger, flick your wrist, the pliars thrust out, and lock into place. It's great for one handed use. I used it many emergency situations. Great for cutting parachute cord, fixing medical equipment, cutting bandages, and eating MRE's. Fantastic Multi-use tool.

Gerber fishing multi-tool
The quality and design oriented toward the purpose of use during fishing is impeccable. Other Multi-tools may be good but this couldn't be any better. I fish all the time and this tool will be going with me. I have no aspect of this tool that I am not in approval of and I particularly like that the carbide/cobalt cutters can be replaced.

One tool that does it all
For fisherman, this is a great multi-tool that does almost everything you need except tie on your tackle. The best feature is the ability to open the pliers with one hand. That comes in very handy when you have a rod or a fish in the other hand. The wire cutters went through fireline very well, and the scissors handle every other type of line. The file and knife blade came out easily and locked into place so you don't have the issue of it folding back on it's self. Not to mention it's a very sharp blade! Great Clamps
These clamps have been around for ever. Any good woodworking shop has a pile of them. Get them in pairs at a minimum and get a variety of sizes you won't be sorry. They last a lifetime and more.

Oh yeah the other dimension you need to know is the distance from the tip to the middle spindle on this clamp is 7 inches.

Great device
When I have to get an extra hand, this tool comes really handy. It adjust quickly and without hazzle.

These are nice clamps for a medium-heavy duty clamp
These heavy duty models from Bessey are a lot beefier than the picture shows. Definitely a strong clamp. I bought a couple to hold things down on the drill press, and for general purpose work. Stanley MaxSteel 25' X1" Contractor'sTape (33-599)
Packaging with tape states it has a 9'Standout however the one I purchased buckles at 8' 4".

Fine tape
I have owned probably half a dozen of these tapes. As a remodeling contractor my tapes see alot of different uses. I have found this a good solid buy. The fat max is just too awkward in my hands. The main reason I am writing is to note that the previous review noted that the metal hook end of the tape wiggles about 1/8". THIS IS ON PURPOSE. When taking inside measurements the end will subtract the thickness of it's own metal by moving. If one were to rivet the end to make it stationary, either the inside or outside measurements would be off by the thickness of the hook.

Poor construction, Inaccurate.
I've had this tape measure for 3 years now. It is used for weekend projects. The measure still looks rather new, because of the low use. However, the tape measure is no longer accurate because the end hook is loose. The hook at the end can shift forward or backward about 1/8". The hook is not missing any rivets; therefore, it appears that the shifting hook is just the result of poor construction. I though about trying to tighten the rivets, but it would probably just break the blade. I might be able to send it back for warranty repair, but I'll probably just buy a new measure. If you don't care about 1/8" accuracy then it is a pretty good tape measure. It has good retraction. The blade is stiff. The case is solid.

ok, but I like the Fat Max Better.
I just replaced my countractor's grade tape with A Fat Max, I beat and banged the damn thing all over the place, until it was cut in two by a power saw. it's good, but I prefer the FatMax

Excellent tool
We use this for satellite dish installation, and we are very please with its quality and durability. It is not like the cheap imported models. Skil 2936 needs better batteries
I purchased the Skil 2936 screwdriver and a spare battery Feb 2003 from Lowes. The screwdriver itself is light, balanced, and works good for very light tasks. However, The batteries will not hold a charge for more than a day or two, even when fully charged and just sitting idle. The batteries lose their charge even though they are not in the screw driver. If I want to use the Skil I have to make sure the batteries are charged the evening before I plan to use the screwdriver. While in use, the batteries last only a very short time. I contacted Skil via email about the problem and was advised to send it to a service center since Skil does have a two year warranty on this unit. I may or may not do that, as I don't really think the batteries are meant to perform any better since both the batteries hold a charge the same length of time. I did however recently purchase a Dewalt DW20K 7.2 Volt screwdriver from Tool Crib to replace the Skil, and so far have been very impressed with both the screwdriver and Tool Crib. When I bought the Skil, I remember standing in Lowes with the Skil in one hand and the Dewalt in the other and finally deciding on the Skil because I didn't really want to spend $100 on a screwdriver. Too bad, because I've now spent $140 for screwdriver that is usable.

Don't waste your money
Unreliable when used on drywall. Can not trust any measurements unless perfect surface (hard and shiny) is target. No visible beam to help aim.

Not impressed
Being a Professional Surveyor I expected this to make my life a bit easier. However, even taking readings from the same spot I usually got wildly different answers for example, 2.5 metres against 7.4 metres. We are NOT talking of slight differences here !! For me, it is completely useless as all measurements need to be double checked with a tape. That rather defeats the object of having it. Sometimes, it reads OK, probably random though. Basically I ended up taking twice as long to do the same job as a tape. Anybody want to buy one...going cheap ;-)

One of the essentials when setting up a shop. You need multiples of all sizes. The Jorgensen along with the Pony pipe clamps are my favorites. They are easy to set up and use, they hold the piece tight and with the rubber pads they don't mar the wood. They also make a 24" and above with a ratcheting system (very nice).
