These are great pruners.
My new Fiskars loop-handle pruners arrived today. I was attracted to these by the loop handle because I thought I could tie a cord to the loop, saving me a trip down the ladder to pick them up when I drop them. I was pleasantly surprised by the compactness of these pruners. They are very comfortable in my hand. They also do a very good job of snipping off branches up to about 3/8" in diameter. I managed to get through a larger (a little over 1/2" in diameter) branch, but it was hard work and seemed to stress the tool. I was pruning a plum tree, and the wood is pretty tough. Maybe on softer stuff they will easily get through the 3/4" branches as Fiskars says they will. Anyway, I am glad I bought them for the work I do. ... Read more

Bad Packaging!
When I received this sweeper, there was a piece of plastic in the bottom of the box that happened to be one of the handle supports. I searched for a 800# for Karcher with no luck. I requested a replacemnet through Amazon which I received today.
The replacement sweeper had the same problem! I e-mailed Karcher on the lack of packing in the box and requested a refund from Amazon. I have ordered a Hoover Spin Sweep instead, which looks to be a improvement over the Karcher. So far Amazon has been very helpful with my issues. UPS picked up the Karcher the next day via Amazon's automated return replacement system and the new product was sent out 2 day FEDEX. I'm sure that the Karcher sweeper would of served the purpose the way it looked, it's just too bad they had not did there homework on packaging. I can't be the only one with this problem! ... Great for an electric chain saw
I just used this little chain saw to take down a large tree (well, large in my book ...). These chain saws are always 'advertised' and 'meant' to be used only for small trees (maybe 3"-4"), and trimming and pruning. I had a tree with about a 12" diameter trunk that I had to take down after the recent hurricane. I bought this puppy, and the tree was horizontal on the ground within about a half hour. Another 2 hours or so of cutting it into bite-sized pieces and chucking them into the woods, and I was done.

This chain saw went way beyond my expectations. I always figured that an electric chain saw would bog down at the first opportunity. It didn't even come close. I was careful to take smaller chunks out, wedges, to make a large kerf, than maybe I woul dhave if I had had a large gas-powered chain saw. But this wasn't always possible, and it did fine anyway. Also, I did use it to cut directly through all of the main branches, many of which were 6" or 8" in diameter. Same thing - went through like a charm. And this was all with a very old 50-foot extension cord, so the load from that didn't affect it either.

The auto-oiler seemed to work. I filled the reservoir about half way, and it emptied over time, so I did it again, and it used most of it up. But, then again, I was pitting this little chain saw against more than it was designed for, so the oil was probably sorely needed. And this did beat having to manually pump a button for oil, which my last chain saw required.

The person who posted a review December 5, 2002 obviously knows nothing about scissors. I wonder if these were the ones that he/she bought?
These are the ultimate kitchen scissors - nothing to touch them in the price range. They will cut anything and stay sharp.

ordinary scissors
I bought these scissors and paid ten bucks for an ordinary pair of scissors. Do yourself a favor go find some scissors for 4 or 5 bucks and save yourself the money.

Just Follow Instructions Soldier!!!
I have used the Ryobi Trimmer-Plus gas trimmer for about 4 years now.The only reason I had to replace my original 825r trimmer shaft was because I tried to use an Echo quick release spool which was too heavy and broke the rod inside the shaft. Now that I have read the instructions on how to correctly use the speed spool,I've found myself not changing the line every two minutes. I just bump the bumperhead on the ground and the line comes out with no hassle.

Ryobi Line Trimmer (775r)
I am very happy with my Ryobi. Three years old and it starts every time. Some reviews say they can't start them and end up with blisters, but that's because they do not maintain them correctly. Just remember to add fuel stabalizer to your gas so that the fuel doesn't break down. These carberators are small and it wouldn't take much to plug 'em up. Even then, you can usually fix them by adding "Barrymans" gas additive to your fuel. Then allow the unit to idle for 5 minutes or so. Barrymans will break down any small varnish particles that may be plugging the fuel ports in the carb.

I really like the optional attachments and how quick I can change them from one tool to another. It sure makes yardwork more of a pleasure.

So, if your are ready, purchase the best...buy Ryobi.

Gear Box is Junk
I purchased the Troy-Bilt version of this (both Troy-Bilt and Ryobi are manufactured by MTD) Trimmer-Plus gizmo - looked good. The gear box gears (which allows for the 'straight-shaft') lost their teeth after about 2 months of light use. Came in here to see what a new 'trimmer attachment' cost since I hate to lose the whole thing - excellent and reliable engine.

best string trimmer I've ever owned
I've had a Ryobi 725r String Trimmer for nearly 6 years and it has been the best yard equipment investment I've made besides my 16 year old Snapper Mower. With regular maintenance and care these tools have lasted me for years and I expect they will continue to last. If you had problems with one I would imagine you got one of the lemons that are always out there. Just Deal.....

problem returning
we purchased a grass shears from fiskars but are unable to returnthe shears because they stick . please let us know how we can return them .

Not for Lefthanders
I am left handed and found these shears to be on average as good/bad as the pair of 10 year old shears I purchased the Friskars to replace. They work better if I use my right hand, but I still have to hold the grass tightly with one hand and shear with the other or the grass gets clogged in the crotch of the two blades. Using my left hand they get clogged more often than not.

Does not hold up.
This is the second folding wheelbarrow that I have purchased. Neither lasted more than a few months. It is a fabulous idea and a great thing to have and use when it is not falling apart. After two months the fabric rips at the seams. This is not from carrying too heavy of loads. Both wheelbarrows ripped at the seams in several places. Great product!
My husband and I work at property maintenance. I bought one of these last year and I use it all the time, for painting porch floors, baseboards, shoe molding, bottoms of doors, etc., etc. Recently my husband has been borrowing it when he's installing carpet bars, installing/changing electrical outlets, etc. I'm ordering another one just for him, so we don't have to fight over mine anymore! It's easy to scoot it along the floor. You can kneel on it, or sit on it. In the summertime, when you're wearing shorts, it's an absolute must to protect your knees. It's lightweight and easy to toss in the car with the other tools.

scissors that won't let you down.
The Fiskars 9637 garden shears are tops if you are looking for a pair of scissors that can take alot of abuse and still be sharp. I use mine in a flower shop where I can be cutting anything from woody stems to wire to the most delicate flowers and ribbon. The stainless steel blades stay clean even after alot of use. The handles fit perfectly in your hand(provided you are right-handed). [If you are left-handed the Fiskars 9474 are almost the same with the exception that the blades can be taken apart]. The serrations on the blades make cutting things much easier than smooth edged blades because the serrations hold the thing you are cutting where you want it. The overall size of these shears is just about perfect because they fit nicely in the back pocket of a pair of jeans. What this means is you can have them at hand when you need them. At the low price get a few pairs and give your friends each a pair-they will thank you
