3-0 out of 5 stars So So
This stone cuts quickly and is very handy, but I've found that the pattern leaves very visible score lines on the bevel. Maybe these affect sharpness, maybe they don't. It sure doesn't happen with any other stone I've used though and I don't like it. I've begun honing at an angle to the long axis and this solves the problem but effectively shortens the stone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
I've had a set of these stones for a couple months now. I've found them to be great for truing up hand planes and for sharpening chisels and plan blades.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great little stone
For general purpose sharpening this is a great tool to have handy. A must for every woodworker ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Pulling Nails
I was replacing wood trim on my house and had to pull a lot of buried nails while standing on a ladder. I tried using other tools like claw hammer, screw driver, pry bar but was having a lot of difficulty removing the nails and in some cases couldn't get some of the nails removed. I borrowed the Shark nail puller from my next door neighbor and from then on ALL NAILS WERE REMOVED WITH VERY LITTLE EFFORT. My neighbor told me he got the nail puller from Tool Crib and he let me use his catalog to order my own nail puller. I ordered two to give one to my son. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Drywaller's Mate
The only reason I own this little gem is for drywalling. It fits in my pocket so I can whip it out to plane down drywall sheet edges quickly. That's important when your trying to fit them in difficult places like corners and closet ceilings, especially if you're standing on a bench or some other awkward position. It smoothes those edges and removes stock in a hurry. It pays to keep some extra blades around, though. Moisture combines with drywall dust to corrode steel, so the blades can rust between jobs. I wouldn't start a drywall job without this tool. Thanks..!

5-0 out of 5 stars Tune up your drywall cuts
This tool is a must for tight drywall joints. It will scrape the rough edges right off and you'll have an easier time finishing. I don't use it for wood , although I suppose you could if you had a new blade.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Cool Tool
This little puppy does about anything you need for shaping, forming, planing, and carving. If you need to cut something down to size quickly, then this is the tool for the task. It might look like a cheese grater, but the blade handles about any material - wood, drywall, PVC, car Bondo, countertops, and even aluminum. The nice part is that you never have to sharpen the tool - just buy a new replacement blade. I don't like to put my block plane on just any material, and it takes some time to keep the plane iron sharp, so the Surfom makes for a really versatile substitute. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Wonder-Ful Pry Bar
For those of us that work sitting on their backsides all day, there is nothing quite like going home and destroying something at night to take out some tension. The pry bar is the perfect tool for this task.

The 12 1/2" pry bar may be a bit too short for the largest jobs, but this size is a perfect size for the majority of jobs. Whether ripping out drywall, removing molding, pulling stubborn nails, or popping tiles, this is the tool. The tool is angled differently at each end. One end is for popping items like nails. The other end is better for prying tiles, for example. Because of the different angles, you gain different levels of leverage.

This is the tool for home (destruction) improvement.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best pry bars...
This pry bar goes by many names in my field. The workders call it a 'wonder bar,' while most carpenters refer to it as a 'flat bar' and roofers call it a 'shingle bar.' By any name, it is a great tool for any home improvement worker or home owner. I have been using this tool for over 20 years. While both ends are beveled, myself as well as other workers, have found that grinding back both ends sharper to produce a longer bevel makes the performance even better for taking out and removing roof shingles and flashings. I have even used this tool to chisel out bad pieces of decking. The curved end of the bar can be placed over the head of a gutter spike and struck with a hammer to remove the spikes without damage to the gutters. The bar also comes in handy when on a steep roof or working around chimneys and dormers. The bar can be placed between the space in 1-by decking to help support your foot on a steep pitch roof. It is made of fine quality steel that will last a lifetime. ... Read more
