Amazon.com Review

Out of the box, this little ladder doesn't look like it's going anywhere. But start telescoping it and you almost can't believe your eyes. It extends to 12-1/2 feet from its closed height of 2-1/2 feet; plus, you can use the ladder in any of its 1-foot increments. Stainless-steel spring-loaded bolts inside the rungs lock into place as you extend the ladder. The rungs are made of processed aluminum, and serrated treads feel strong and secure under your feet. When you're done, you just tug on the locking rings, collapse the rungs down, and walk away with a 2-1/2-foot, 23-pound ladder under one arm. It takes virtually no space to store--put it under a bed, in a closet, in a car trunk--and totes anywhere. Clever as can be. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very handy ladder
We use this for satellite dish installation, and we are very pleased with its quality and durability. First we used the 10.5" version. However, we find the 12.5" version more useful. We highly recommend it to all of our dish installers. This is a light weight and easy to store ladder. No need to haul around long big ladders anymore. This will do for 90% of the jobs. Best regards Sadoun Satellite Sales

4-0 out of 5 stars Quality ladder in every way--But FOLLOW the instructions!
Like one of the reviews posted previously, I use the TeleSteps ladder for inspection. In that regard, it really has no equal; when it's all knocked down it is the smallest possible package in a quality ladder. When set up, it's a genuinely good 12 and 1/2 foot ladder. It's very light, sturdy and both well-thought out and made with a high degree of manufacturing quality.

Having said that, I will mirror what other reviewer state: If you don't read AND FOLLOW the instructions, you can/will find yourself in a bad place in a hurry. You must always start unstowing the ladder FROM the bottom, not the top (yes, they say you can start at the top if you're deploying it to the maximum extension. But I'd err on the side of conservative with this ladder). And at each rung, as you're raising it, two little detents pop into place. You must make ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that these two little detents are LOCKED. Honestly, it might add up to a total of one whopping minute to make certain this is done, so in my opinion it's totally worth the time to ascertain that they have done so. If you do this, this is one nice ladder. If you get in a hurry, you may be in for a surprise. After reading the one reviewer that took a spill, I've gotten into the habit of double checking every detent, just to be sure.
If I had any suggestion for the Swedish manufacturer, it would be to somehow make the detents a bright safety red or something that would be visible, only when they're safely locked, so a user could easily see that the detents are adequately locked.
It's genuinely as 'high tech' a ladder as you can get and an godsend for inspection purposes. I can easily put it in the trunk of any car and the ability to selectively determine height is a handy feature. Highly recommended, extremely well made, but more than most products, one that absolutely requires you to read and follow the instructions.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dreams do come true
A a building inspector I enter beautiful homes on a daily basis. This compact ladder permits me to take a clean ladder into the home for access to attic spaces and other areas. Stored inside my work vehicle there is no dirt to apologize for. Also I save time. I no longer have to tie a long cumbersome ladder to the roof of my vehicle. Compact, fast, lightweight and clean. The Telesteps telescoping ladder is all of these. Plus, it is one of the highest quality tools that I own. My only wish is that it was available in 16 foot length.

3-0 out of 5 stars USE WITH CAUTION
This is a great tool for limited applications. 1st - I wouldn't put more than about 200 lbs on it. 2nd - it is fine to get yourself onto a roof or into an attic, but it is not solid enough to work from. 3rd - you must follow the instructions in opening it, especially being sure that every section locks in place, or it will collapse under you (I've heard several stories of this happening). 4th - keep it well lubricated with silicone spray (I carry a silicone spray can with the ladder at all times). I have used it satisfactorily for about three years. If you recognize its limits and are willing to work within them, the ladder is very useful. If you expect more from it, you will be disappointed and could get hurt.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing
The best part of this ladder is how easy it is to get into tight spots. The second great thing is how peaple react to seeing me set it up. I would note that my model 106 10.5 foot ladder is most stable with a weight no greater than 180lb when fully extended. ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description

Cleverly called the Forearm Forklift, these handy adjustable lifting straps make carrying heavy and hard-to-handle furniture and appliances remarkably easy. Using the Forearm Forklift, two people can carry large, heavy objects at a low center of gravity, only inches off the ground. As a result, you don't have to bend way down to pick up the object, and you don't have to stoop awkwardly to clear doorways. The Forearm Forklift also helps you move objects over sensitive floors--such as wood, vinyl, or tile--without the same risk of causing scuffs or damage. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars BAD
This ad is false. This is not the only moving system to be OSHA accepted. I tried the product and it was absolutely horrible. It made my arms start to tingle like they were falling asleep.

The Forearm Forklift was felt extremely dangerous on stairs. This product is just plain bad and claims to be much more then it is. Don't Buy It!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Strong, secure and fast
We bought these to help deliver furniture at my store. They're great for all of our inventory, even the super heavy stuff. In fact, they make it feel lighter. ???
FYI-for furnishings with legs, we just put them underneath. But, for the flat bottomed pieces we cross the straps once underneath and we've never had them slip out. They're even good on stairs.
Not only do they keep our dollies off our cust.'s floors, but they also work to get in and out faster. Use them if you can. I recommend them cause they work!

4-0 out of 5 stars Forearm forklift helped in a jam
Not to long ago I moved into a new home. I used the forearm forklift many times. I found it was ideal for moving big items, for example my 65" projection tv, which weighs roughly 350lbs. Without the forearm forklift it took 4 men to move, with the forearm forklift it took 2! The only downside to this product is using it to go up or downstairs with big items. It is not easy almost scary, I found it to be safer to not use the straps then pick them up after the steps.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dad and brother to the rescue
I just graduated from UNLV and had tons of heavy, rustic furniture that I had accumulated over 5 1/2 years. My Dad's a little older, but my brother told him about these straps he bought here a while back apparently. Since they helped me move this summer my Dad has been telling all of my uncles. HOW COME IT MADE IT SOOOO EASY FOR THEM? At one point they even let my no exercising self carry around my huge armoire.
Guess what Dad's getting from X-Mas? I can't wait till he opens them.
By the way, my bro actually works as a flooring guy and says he uses them everyday or so. How cool! I recommend them.

4-0 out of 5 stars Limited uses, but works great for large, heavy items
A bit overpriced...but handy. Used these for my husband and me to carry a thick queen-sized mattress and box springs up 2 steep flights of twisting stairs on a recent move. Usually I'm a wimp when it comes to carrying heavy, unwieldy things, but was able to be of real help with this item - made it easy and maneuverable. Can't figure out where to get them, but I wish I had the "X" carrying strap that the manufacturer describes in their package, however, since that seems very necessary to use this to carry smaller items without legs (like bookcases) without having the straps slip off. ... Amazon.com Review

We've all been there. We pack a cooler to take on a long trip, but by the time we reach in to grab a sandwich, all we find is a sopping wet mess. The Wagan thermoelectric cooler/warmer provides the cooling power of a 10-pound block of ice, without all the hassle and mess. It also doubles as an effective food warmer, keeping its contents at a steady 140 degrees F when switched to warming mode. The cooler/warmer is easy to use, too. Simply plug it into your car lighter socket, and you're ready to go. The unit even comes with a four-way socket adapter, so you can plug in up to three other electronic items at the same time, and it fits neatly between the seats or in the middle of the back seat and includes a shoulder strap for easy transportation. A 5.0 amp AC/DC converter allows you to plug the unit into any standard outlet once you reach your destination. Because it uses energy-efficient thermal plate technology to transfer heat to and away from its contents, rather than a compressor, the cooler/warmer emits no CFCs or dangerous gases, never needs recharging, and requires minimal maintenance. A rugged outer body; tight, magnetic seal; and superior foam insulation keep the food inside fresh. Easy-to-read red and green indicator lights let you know whether the unit is set to heating or cooling mode. --Carl Thress ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this little cooler
Studying for the CA bar exam I had to be at the law library for 10-12 hours everyday for two and a half weeks straight. Using the "hot" version, I was able to have my hot meals every day, without having to take off too much time from my studies. The food stayed nice and hot (great home-y feel) after approximately 5 hours from the time I heated it up in the morning. It probably would stay hot even longer than that, but I had to worry about draining my power system.

When it was time for the exam, which is 3 days in CA, the hotel that I was staying at had ran out of their refrigerators. So, I took this little cooler and set it in the "cold" version. My food stayed COLD the whole time, not cool, COLD. I had cold cuts, cheeses, and soup that never went bad during the period of time.

When I checked the temperature, when set as cold, it stayed consistently at 32 degrees (colder than my refrigerator), and when set as hot, it was 120 degrees. It really works well.

The whirling noice that the other reviewer mentioned is correct, but it is not annoying at all. Since it doesn't have a high pitch sound, it was just fine. Even when I had it in the hotel room right next to the bed. And when you take the bar exam, every little noise would annoy you - trust me on that.

Hopefully I passed the exam. I would then give credit to this little cooler for having kept me fed during the ordeal with little hassle.

2-0 out of 5 stars Great Idea for a Cooler, but...
I love the idea that this cooler will fit almost anywhere. It's especially nice that the Wagan cooler fits snugly, and relatively securely on the center console between the front seats in my Jeep Grand Cherokee (although I can't lift the door to the console, but you can't have everything).

The Wagan unit keeps things cool (as the name implies), but let's face it, this is no refridgerator, and for an electrically powered unit, I expect that it would keep drinks colder than using ice with a regular cooler, but it doesn't. Unless the Wagan cooler is left out in the snow in the middle of wintertime, it barely keeps things as cool as 40-42 degrees Farenheit when its about 72 degrees outside. WIth ice in a traditional cooler, you can expect to get things down to around 34-36 degrees, and in the summertime. And believe me this 4-8 degrees matters. In fact, the cooler performs much worse in hotter weather.

Also (and this is my biggest peeve), the cooler's AC power adapter died after less than one week of use---it's cheesy and probably not the stuff of power appliances like this Wagan cooler. Therefore, I would not suggest using the cooler as a full-time refridgerator/cooler in your office or den. The Wagan Cooler appliance package just isn't built tough enough for my relatively benign demands. Needs to keep the drinkies cool (I give it a "C-"), and needs to endure through typical (and specified I might add, by the manufacturer) use ("D-").

2-0 out of 5 stars AC Adapter gets Hot
It does cool to 40-41 degrees as advertised. There are two problems:

1. The AC adapter gets hot during use, almost too hot to hold. This is not good, and was alarming enough for me to send it back.
The adapter does not look like the pictures on the web, and is labeled 'Caution: For Use with Technology Equipment'. What? I don't think this is techology equipment! It *is* rated 12v 5 amps, however.

2. The fan operates continuously and emits a distinctive pitched tone (469 Hz), rather than whir. It is loud and can be easily heard indoors from a distance of 20-25 feet. I found it disturbing. No doubt it would be fine in a car, but I intended to use this mostly indoors.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great little device
I bought this to keep my sodas cold while serving in Iraq. It runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week in the heat and the dust without any problems. I recommend this to anyone that travels or is in out of the way place. It is large enough to keep leftovers and other small items. I use it like a small fridge.

5-0 out of 5 stars Keep the Pop cold and the sandwiches dry.
One of my cohorts has this in their van, and I so badly want one for my own. It is so neat and does not get in the way.

I have only experienced it when used to keep Pop, fruit and sandwiches cold. So much better than a regular cooler that require ice that melts and gets things wet and squishy. They have used it when taking a long drive to someones house and they are taking a warm dish, they said it is great for that too.

I may break down soon and buy it. I live about an hour from my office and by the time I have gotten home with groceries they have gotten warm or are starting to melt/thaw. The markets are better on that side of the river, with this, I could do my shopping where I prefer and not worry about getting a speeding ticket racing home from the market.

They always keep this in the back of the van out of the way, yet convenient to get to. It would fit so nicely in the back of the Cruiser. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice Breifcase
I am very pleased with this product. I have only had it for a few months but it seems to be very well constructed.

3-0 out of 5 stars Bulky but useful
This is a very functional piece of luggage, which is good. It does feel a lot more like "luggage" than a "bag" or "briefcase" though, which is not so good. I work predominantly in Manhattan, so I am constantly walking around on busy streets, making my way through crowded subways, etc. The art and science of bag design is a big deal here. The blocky design of this bag makes it more awkward than a similar bag of a different type. It does hold a lot of stuff, I can fit my Makita 14.4 volt drill and charger in it, with enough room left over for plans, other hand tools, etc. The organizer section is a good thing, and useful, though like most other hybrid tool/papers bags, it has some "tool pockets" that fit no tool in my arsenal. The tape measure pocket works well, keeping me from forgetting one and looking like an idiot when I show up to do an estimate. The clear "plan window" is useless. If all the relevant drawings for your projects will fit in one 11x14 window, you probably can carry everything else in your pockets.
The color is dorky, but it makes you fit into certain client's fantasy of "a guy who knows what he is doing"
Some straps that would cinch it up narrower when it wasn't full would be a great addition.
It is probably perfect for someone who wants to organize the sea of papers that washes over the front seat of their truck.
Three stars is a little low, probably, it is not bad at all, and I do use it, but it is only average, in my opinion.

1-0 out of 5 stars This is a good product, but Fiskar's customer service stinks
This is one of the best shoulder bags I have ever had, I like it a lot. However, my bag has split the sides and the buckle has broken. I have tried repeatedly to get Fiskars, the parent company of Bucket Boss, to fix or replace it attempting contacting them through their consumer "hotline" No one has e-mailed me and there are no other descernable ways to contact the company. Buyer beware ! This bag is defefective and Fiskars has done absolutely nothing to help.
I hate to complain but the manufacturer of this product has majorly dropped the ball.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pro Contractor's Briefcase
Work's Great, has enough space for everything you could need and a spare shirt/pants...

5-0 out of 5 stars Glad I Bought It
This is a grate briefcase! It is holding up to the daily abuse and harsh environment I subject it to every day in the construction industry. The whole time my laptop sits safely in the middle compartment....Happy shopping! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Tape measure, just not for dummies !
I've had this tape for a number of years and it has performed very well. If you have trouble later on with complete retraction, simply loosen the screws on the housing, rotate the center to tighten the spring, and re-tighten the screws! Complete replacement of blade is quite simple as well. I've purchased cheaper tapes just to open them up and use it's blde in my spencer 100' tape. A center punch will make two easy holes at the end of the tape so you can attach the blade and then start rewinding the housing. A few tries and you'll have the tension for perfect retraction.

2-0 out of 5 stars Great concept, mediocre execution
This concept is perfect for design and layout work in the landscape industry: 100' and spring return. Can't beat it.

Initially this tape functioned rather well. It would extend all the way to 100' and return (for the most part) all the way back in. What I felt were substandard tolerance and construction choices were merely a little annoying - at first.

As time moved on, performance deteriorated. The tape would rewind until the last 10' or so and had to be helped in. The reel had a wobble in it that, in the beginning, would scrape annoyingly against the housing once every revolution of winding, and then later got worse to the point that the weak spring could no longer overcome the friction. Today was the end. The tape could not even pull through the friction when fully extended.

The upshot is this: A 100' spring return tape is not a kitchen utensil. I expect a fifty-plus dollar tape to be a contractor's tool. There will be dust, it needs to be able to get wet, and it will get dropped. I mainly used this tape for drawing landscape plans and it should have functioned well for more than sixteen months. I feel like I was sold a prototype and not a finished product.

5-0 out of 5 stars super product
this is the best tape measurer I've ever owned, it is third one I've had. I lost both previous tapes, so I've yet to discover how truly tough they really are. But I've never had any problems with any of them. I'm a seamless gutter contractor and I use this tape all day long, every day and even in the rain this is definately a contractor grade tape. This tape winds up all by itself just like a 25' tape only better, so i can not express to you the amount of time this tape has saved me. If you use a 100' tape on a daily or even weekly basis, it will pay for itself within the first week. No more winding up tapes. Thank you Spencer ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars It's what I wanted
The Bucket Boss Brand 54000 Cell Phone Holster from
Bucket Boss is great. I've only had it a couple of days and it keeps my cell handy. My only complaint is the Bucket Boss logo was sown on very poorly. The logo was off by over a 1/4 inch, it looked so bad that I cut it off. Would I buy another one YES

After trying several brands of "cellphone carriers" for my Nokia, including Nokia's belt clip, this one is the best. It fits my cellphone nicely and is easy to "draw" when you need to answer or call. Simple but rugged. The clip is riveted as well as held to the entire assembly by a sewn on nylon strap. You can clip your cell just about anywhere the clip will fit. If you do a lot of crawling/climbing around, this is what you want! If you have a large cell get the large model!

I have the Bucket Boss cell phone holder and I love it. I have the guys at work wanting to buy them. I found it at a Black&Decker Outlet store about 4o miles away and I would like for the Home Depot Store to start carring them so I don't have to drive so far to pick up the 5 or so I pick up for friends and so. I like it and I like the Bucket Boss inventory of products and hope to see them more in the Cincinnati Area. Thanks Again!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Does as advertised...
The holster does as advertised. I've purchased 4 of them for my foreman, and have worn mine for almost a year. Not a problem with fit, as some might. It fits the vast majority of cell phones, my old Qualcomm fits, newer ones, older nokias fit also.

I'll order replacements, but I can't see them wearing out soon.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor quality
I purchased one of the Bucket Boss cell phone holsters about three months ago and wore it daily until it fell off of my belt! The rivet that holds the clip on the back had worn through the flimsy material. Prior to that I had trouble fastening the velcro closure because the material that the velcro hooks into no longer had any material that the velcro could latch onto, all the small fibers were straight and not looped. I am very dissatisfied with this product and I feel that it was manufactured from inferior material as well as having poor craftsmanship. I have purchased many other Bucket Boss products and I suggest that you stop selling this piece of junk! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent tape measure
This tape measure has both metric and imperial scales on a single blade, clearly and neatly printed with inches being in large and bold print while the metric in smaller millimeter print. It has a thick blade and to my surprise, it has a built-in regular pencil sharpener which is rather well integrated into the case. The case is covered with a rubber boot to protect it from drops.

I'm very pleased with it and find it of a superior quality to what is sold at my local hardware store... not to mention affordable. ... Read more
