Makita 10" Dual Compound Slide Saw
Nothing less than what you'd expect in quality and performance in a Makita product. Well made and easy to use. The one design flaw is in the short fence which makes it difficult to cut large or tall molding. Reconditioned tools from Makita are a bargain, coming with a factory warranty - hard to loose.

Best In Its Class
Plenty of power- doesn't bog down. Long lived ....... in shops I've worked in PC was the sander of choice.Belt tracks very well. The variable speed is handy and is a separate wheel control as it should be. At this price and the full warranty it's a no brainer. You could pay more and get a lot less sander.

Need to remove alot of stock? This sander is the best.
After trying several belt sanders on the market, I was extremely happy to come across this one. For starters, it never bogs down. No matter how much pressure is put on the platen or how long it runs, the motor never bogs. That was the main problem with other belt sanders I have used.

The sander also has some heft to it. It is not a light weight machine. This is good because it doesn't need a lot of extra force to remove a lot of stock, and the weight helps to keep it on track. If weight is a concern for you, you need to look elsewhere. Although the "elsewhere" sanders won't work as well!

This sander is tough. I was sanding a faceframe one day when my partner accidentally unplugged the machine. I set the machine down (this part is embarrassing) forgetting to turn the trigger off. When I plugged it back in, it pulled itself across the bench and onto the floor before I realized what was happening. It bounced a couple of times and continued across the floor before pulling the plug from the outlet. It purrs like a lion to this day. There has been other times when it has been dropped or stepped on and has never had any problems.

The only drawback, and the reason I gave it only 4 stars, is the dust bag. It gets in the way sometimes when working on other than horizontal surfaces. It can be swung around, though, to the left or right out of the way. Also, the dust bag forms a rub hole, right at the top where the aluminum tube ends inside the bag. Refurbished a great value
I just received this saw from Amazon today after shopping for quite some time. My original pick was the Skil Mag worm drive saw but I like the features of this one better. The direct connect is a great idea. The tool hook they refer to in the specs doesn't show up in the pictures (it's NOT the hook you see below the handle, that's to hook the cord onto.) The tool hook is a folding piece of round bar, very heavy duty & looks like it's sized to hook on 2x framing material. The picture shows a blade with it but doesn't specifically mention it but it does come with a 24T diamond arbor Bosch blade. My unit came looking brand-new except for a couple of small nicks in the paint, I'm verry happy with the condition. [...] Also in regards to the Skil brand which is owned by the same company as Bosch, it mentions releif bellows & an oil level indicator. This saw does require oil for the gear box but it has a plug you must remove to check the level.
Overall I am very excited to use this saw, I have built a few decks over the years in addition to home projects & can't wait to see how it performs, I'm sure I won't be disappointed. One other note: I own a Bosch jig-saw & it's also the finest one I've ever seen. ... Read more

wrong drill
I ordered the 3107-8 because it has two variable speed settings- 0-355 and 0-750. The carrying case said model 3107-8 but inside was a model 1107-1 which is 0-500 RPM only. Very disappointed.

Milwaukee 1/2" Right angle Drill
An elcellent drill to be used in those tight corners and spaces where any other drill & bit will no go. Right angle head rotates through 360 degress to aid in those tight spaces. With the ability to drill stright as well this "specialized" tool is not. Typical Milwaukee construction. Just finished a 3500 sq.ft. home wiring job. Worth every penny and then some for timely completion especially with owner changing partitions nearly daily.

To the other reviewer, can't you read that it says "Includes two 1.2 Ah Batteries".Don't give the product a bad review b/c you can't read the specs.

BEWARE, not as pictured or advertised...
This is the DS18DVB drill. However the refurbished kit came with the EB1812 batteries, which are only 1.2Ah and the charger that came with it will only charge them, not the other 18v batteries Hitachi sells. The picture Amazon has with this item clearly shows the 2.0Ah batteries (you can tell by the blue tabs, the 3.0Ah are yellow and the 1.2Ah are all black) While it is a good drill and flashlight, I bought this kit at this price primarily to get a couple more batteries and a back-up charger. You are better off getting the kit new with the better batteries. Better still, get the kit that comes with the 3.0Ah batteries, a reciprocal saw and a circular saw.
